  1. I didn't like Rome's behavior toward Sol either, but it seems like a variation on Boston Rob's strategy, he wouldn't allow anyone to be out of sight either, and didn't allow any game conversations between anyone. I guess he didn't stick as close, but only because he didn't have to, he had his little harem doing his bidding as well. I hated that too.
  2. Same here, I have no interest at all in sports, so with the exception of John Rocker, I don't think I had ever heard of any of the sports celebrities that have played on Survivor, and I only knew of him because he was in the news a lot over some racist things he said. There was that coach that was briefly on one season, I think I had heard his name before, but wouldn't know who he was if I saw him on the street. I listen to podcasts, and I have heard of Pod Save America, but have never listened to it, I'm a hard pass on marinating in politics these days, even if it's something I agree with. I listen to a lot of RHAP, but I don't recognize Aysha.

  4. Even Keith "stick to the plan" Nale?
  5. Rob and T-Bird have a great interview with Penner up! https://robhasawebsite.com/talking-with-t-bird-jonathan-penner/
  6. Nah, I gotta disagree with that, he dumped all the rice out, and really seemed like he might get violent. I also remember all that weirdness about the one girl being a temptress because he found her attractive, and got her voted out before he...I'm not really sure what, it was just bizarre. I don't believe he really passed a psych test, they had to have overlooked it because of his last name. Gretchen is still my favorite player until this day, how I wish she had played again. Rob interviewed her awhile back, and she said she might be interested in a Blood vs Water season with her daughter.
  7. I think Q is a lock for season 50, that's probably why they didn't show it.
  8. For Tiff, I imagine it's mostly for the cocktails, probably with a group of friends, they probably take turns getting appetizers, and that's her go to. I'm sure it's a young crowd, making their weekly hang session at Applebee's is probably kind of an ironic thing, like how young hipsters liked drinking PBR because it was funny (I know, also cheap).
  9. I eat there once a year on Veteran's Day, I get a free steak dinner (the smallest steak you can imagine, but hey, free is free). I did go there quite a few times back in the 90's, their Bourbon Street Steak was pretty good. It is better than TGIF (wouldn't even do that one if it was free), Outback is nothing special, out of most comparable chains, I would say Chili's is probably the best, but that's not great either. Texas Roadhouse is quite good, but they crank the music up to 11, I'm too old for that. I really feel like the producers probably expected that Liz would get enough food to eat through the game, they expected enough people to step out for rice, I even think Jeff's popcorn was really meant for Liz, they probably thought the rest would just hand it over to her, and if it had been anyone other than Q, I'm sure she would have been chosen (he really is a different breed of cat), which, again, I think the producers fully expected to happen. It's kind of comical that all the ways of getting her food within the bounds of the game have been thwarted.
  10. I think the producers have been trying to get her food, the rice if enough people sat out, her favorite burger, I even think Probst bringing out popcorn was really meant for her. I think in each case, they expected the other tribe members would help her out, but not with this group. Although, before Liz went completely apeshit, it looked like Kenzie might have been about to give up her spot on the reward for her.
  11. I remember awhile back there were rumors of a Third Time's the Charm season, basically a third chance for people that have been on it twice, with another fan vote to determine the players. I think that would be fun.
  12. I know he's beloved by most fans, but boy, I so despised Rupert, and not in the fun Survivor way, the show's fixation on him almost made me stop watching the show. I found nothing about him and his antics entertaining or humorous, I'd rather watch nothing but these "new era" casts than ever see that guy on my tv screen ever again.
  13. I guess to play devil's advocate, I would say that Jem probably didn't expect that they would dig that deep, I mean, it looked like something out of Raider's of the Lost Ark. The producers want this stuff to be found, they're not going to bury something halfway to Hades, and if they did, the earth would be looser, that area clearly hadn't already been dug up. She also couldn't have known about the giant ants, and I really have to question why they dug for days in one spot, getting bitten by bugs, I think that's more on them than Jem.
  14. I tried to listen to his interview on RHAP, I had to turn it off, just going on and on about how inspirational he is.
  15. I don't really have a problem with the fake idol of it all, but the mean spirited way they were talking about her was really hard to watch. Apparently, Jess had already done her own idol search in that area, and come up empty, so that's why she was walking the other way. They also knew that she hadn't slept in days, and probably was a little loopy because of that. If you want to make sure someone feels safe, then sure, fake idol them, but the mean spirited comments are a turn off, at least to me.
