  1. Wonder if Geralt is going to put himself on probation for giving Ciri mushroom&herbs for weeks which were going to do serious harm to her body. Or using her as monster bait. Or ignoring her existence for her entire life which would have continued if it wasn't for Yen calling him a deadbeat. Or for sending her back to Kaer Morhen without him considering the last time he left her there alone, Vesemir almost killed her. But he probably won't since Geralt is perfect and never makes mistakes. She is supposed to be Calanthe's age seeing as she has sons who are adults and she grew up with Calanthe (aren't they cousins?). Love how Istredd thinks it's a good idea to hand a nuclear weapon to mass baby murderers so they can nuke all the babies. Seeing as he must have followed Francesca and her group from Cintra all the way to Redania (which is where they still where in this episode), there is no way he didn't hear about the murdered babies. They fell off the side of the mountain on the way up to KM.
  2. IMO the problem is not the actress (there are much worse on this show than her who get too much focus) but her character is among the worst written and directed.
  3. Because the elves don't consider her elven enough? Some of them (like Francesca) are just as racist as some of the humans and being quarter elf makes you a non-elf to some. Personally I think she went to Cintra because Cahir is of high rank rather any elf reasons.
  4. What kind of chemistry though? People these days throw it around like some generic term...
  5. It's funny because I have seen so many people comment on the fact that they have chemistry yet I saw nothing. Sometimes I question my chemistry radar or if chemistry is like beauty, in the eye of the beholder.
  6. And what does this have to do with what that poster and I were joking about?
  7. I don't even understand the drama around the lost vial with the mutagen. They took a lot of blood from Ciri in the previous episode and not all was used to create that one vial. Just make another. And letting Ciri take it was always a death sentence, Geralt should have been way more pissed at Vesemir because he almost killed Ciri. If the portal had been made by Yen, then it would have been a baddie move. But Ciri made it and they had no idea where it would open up to. Ciri might have done a portal and they come out outside the temple, inside Ciri and Geralt's room, wherever the weapons are stored in the temple. But I'm pretty sure Yen was hoping it was far enough from the temple because that would suit her plan. I honestly thought she might have triplets or more considering how big she was. Was expecting a whole litter like a dog or something.
  8. Don't care really what Geralt believes, he doesn't seem to care to find out what actually happened to Yen post Sodden anyway. The whole 'lets punish Yen' storyline got boring halfway through the Season. Now Geralt can continue the punishment which I have no desire to see. Vesemir did far worse to Ciri, TWICE, and got instantly forgiven. But Geralt can't forgive Yen. Screw that. And screw Lauren with her whole 'next Season Yen has to prove herself to them'.
  9. Nah they just reused the actress. The S1 hooker was near Temeria. Kaer Morhen is far away from that.
  10. It wasn't the deal with the witch that killed the baby. The baby IMO was always going to die. Lets remember that it only survived birth due to Fringilla (apparently no one in that world knows how to deal with newborns). If the elves had still been out and about in the wilderness, Francesca might have lost it sooner but definitely right after birth. Voleith Meir thrives on pain, desperation and anger. Yennefer was the appetizer, as VM said she wanted her desperation crisp and Yen spend episode after episode getting hit with the shit end of the stick. Fringilla was sort of the main course, as her mounting anger kept growing over the Season until she snapped. Francesca was the desert that filled VM to the brim and gave her the final push to get free. Francesca needed to be filled with as much hope as possible so that the loss of her baby would reach maximum hurt. So VM pushed Francesca to make the alliance with Fringilla, thereby giving the elves a place to stay, support from humans and the promise of a better future (especially since her baby survived via this alliance). At least that's how I interpret this wonky story.
  11. I'm not even sure if Geralt is aware that Yennefer wasn't going to go through with it in the end. Doesn't look like any conversations were had between them coming back from the other sphere and the talk we saw of Yen/Geralt at the end.
  12. It's just a temple that anyone can enter. Apparently. How would she do that without magic?
  13. They absolutely needed that. They probably thought 'we get compared to GoT enough' and skipped it. But there is a way to do this without copying GoT. And other shows also do the map thing and no one minds. In S1 plenty people were confused as to who is what from where. This Season though makes it seem like everything is 5 minutes away from each other anyway. Oh you poor, sweet summer child...
  14. It's hilarious that it's the same hooker from the beginning of episode 3 of S1. Here she mentions having met Geralt before but funnily not from that time in S1.
  15. Except she doesn't know that. When Geralt explained it to her he used the words 'your grandma didn't want your mom to marry an outsider' rather than 'grandma didn't want your mother to marry Sonic the hedgehog'.
  16. Oh come on. What's a little kill attempt between family members? We've all been there. I love the little retcon they did with what the dragon told Yen and Geralt back in 1x06. When did the dragon tell these two that they were destined for each other? Made for each other? That destiny alone wasn't enough and they needed something more? And if that's now the new canon why was Yen so focused on Geralt making a wish and blaming her feelings for him on that? Last I checked, destiny trumps absolutely everything in this show. So Geralt's wish doesn't matter since apparently they are destined for each other. So why 'break up' after 1x06 then?
  17. I'd really love to know what Triss was teaching Ciri in 'magic class' considering No wonder Ciri started skipping those classes. Bad teacher there Triss.
  18. Does her owl form count? If so, then yes she has been there for most of the Season. If not, then no she is new.
  19. My one hope for next Season is more Jaskier & Yen. Prefer them to Jaskier & Geralt as a duo. J&Y have such awesome frenemy chemistry, plus unlike Geralt, Yen can spar with him verbally. My fave parts of Yen this Season were her scenes with Jaskier because the rest of her story was just badly done.
  20. So far I'm operating under 'the last wish' I know from the actual source material. I know it wasn't a love wish in the show because otherwise Yen would be dead. The djinn would have absolutely killed her when it left her body. So Geralt had to tie them in a way that the djinn couldn't kill her and a love wish wouldn't stop that thing from doing so. It's just shitty writing in the show though. They kinda want to keep tension in there so Yen continues to believe in love wish while Geralt just can't open his mouth. That's not what people do. Geralt would have corrected her when it came up in the dragon episode last Season. But then they also want to keep the romance going so Yen conveniently forgot what she said/believed 2 episodes ago.
  21. Pretty hilarious because just two episodes ago Yen said this: 'You find love but it isn't real. It's a wish someone made once, before they even knew who you were.' This show needs to decide already. Either they love each other for real or they don't. And if they do, how hard is it for Geralt to freaking clear this all up? It was annoying enough last Season in the dragon episode. If it wasn't a love wish, then just freaking say so Geralt.
  22. So did Triss actually do know about Geralt&Yen? I've seen a lot of people argue in episode 4 that she didn't know about them. But her convo in this episode with Tissaia seems to indicate differently. Between her immediately jumping to Yennefer's name and her disappointed look, it seems she was aware. Also thanks for ratting Ciri out to Tissaia, that had some majorly bad consequences.
  23. This show doesn't care about world building so the confusion is natural.
  24. Everything that happened at Kaer Morhen was such a waste of time so the show can have some epic action scene. Ciri has the ability to blink and that includes blinking back from other worlds. That's what she did when she brought herself, Geralt and Yen back to KM from the other world. So why on earth did VM waste all this time killing witchers, summoning weird looking basilisks and just standing there? As soon as it possessed Ciri in the last episode, it could have gone to it's world. If Ciri can blink back from that world, then VM in Ciri can blink there.
  25. Nothing says it can't be both. But I have no context of their relationship or her feelings post 1x06. She looked done with the idea of Geralt by the battle of Sodden. So any dreams were probably crushed in the dragon episode. Not to mention she was leading Geralt's child like a lamb to the slaughter (last minute change of heart doesn't change the intention), a child that she could have become the mother of. She already knows they can't have babies anyway so this would be the closest she could get. So someone who wants that family unit would do things very differently. That's where my doubt about it being her desire/dream comes from.
