  1. OK. Thanks! I somehow didn't watch that season! I thought I saw them all except for Cancun and the recent one. Guess not. Yea she was a total non-entity on her season of Real World, other than her and Zach having a thing. She barely spoke, was uninvolved with most storylines, and was called out by the rest of the cast at the reunion for basically not getting to know or speak to anyone but Zach. Then on her one Challenge, it was a group win where, once again, she performed decently but was a non-entity. I'm thinking the only reason she is back is because they reached out to Evelyn, Rachel, and Emily and were told no. And we know Paula is done too.
  2. What this episode reminded me was that I really did miss Shane. I hope he gets a spot in the house. Also. CAN WE STOP MILKING THE ARRIVAL OF THE CHAMPS PLEASE? I can't with these newbs much longer.
  3. I've met Big Easy actually while he was making an appearance at a bar in Cincinnati. He was not only incredibly wasted, but also such a jerk! I think editing has been kind to him because he'll already get criticized for being bigger and if they showed his true self, he'd be subject to even more ridicule. That said, there was no excuse for Laurel talking to him that way. She also went in on Paula that one season and started bringing up her eating disorder and mental issues. At the time she was trying to back up Cara because Paula was ridiculing her, but she still crossed a way inappropriate line when she came at Paula like that. Laurel has a bad mean streak.
  4. Haven't Ashley and Marie only been on one challenge each prior to this season? I'm blanking on any of the ones that weren't Battle of The Seasons (2012). You're right...both have only been on one Challenge, and it was Battle of the Seasons. Thanks for reminding me! I actually love Marie's personality, but she underperformed on that season too, so I wasn't shocked to see her go first. Ashley was also only on that season, and that's why I'm shocked she was selected as a Champion. I wish it would have been Ev. Or Emily. I agree with the male champs selected, if only because Kenny and Evan are banned from coming back. No one else would really work besides the 4 selected except maybe Landon or Mark, both of whom I think are done with this show.
  5. I also liked Kailah. I did not watch her season of Real World (I largely stopped watching after Portland when they started in with the "twists), so this was my initial introduction to her, but I didn't see anything that would make other cast members hate her. And I'm shocked more girls didn't try to align themselves with Jenna, because she is the closest thing to a champ in that house right now and is a good competitor. I do not understand the choice of Ashley as one of the "champions". She has been on 2 challenges and won 1 with 3 other people from her season. There are so many other women, such as Evelyn, Emily, and Rachel, who are true beasts and would have been much better choices. Also--not at all surprised to see Marie go home first. If memory serves, she has sucked on every challenge she has been on. Other than that, there are some real cast members with potential in this house--they just need to stop trying to be like Bananas.
  6. I'm with you about Jayme. She sat on a high horse going on and on about how "gross" it was that he treated her the way he did, and it is, but where was her accountability? She's a mother of 2 young kids and thought it was appropriate to send nudes to a guy she met on Tinder and had never met in person. I found it hard to feel sorry for her and take her side when she clearly didn't use good judgment in this situation or really think about her kids. For her to say "you took time away from my kids and my family" is laughable to me. You chose to spend hours of your precious time with your kids texting and calling some dude who refused to meet up with you. How is that Zac's fault? I don't like the "victims" on this show who never take accountability for their own actions.
  7. The more I watch this season, the more I miss the glory days of the Challenge, with Wes, Kenny, Evan, Rachel, Brad, Derrick, Ev, Bananas, etc--that was so much more enticing to me than this group of people. I'm not condoning sexual assault (as in, I get why Evan and Kenny are no longer allowed to be on these shows) but as personalities they made far better TV than this group. The fact that Cory, Tony, Vince, Tom, etc are all now seen as "vets" is ridiculous to me. Cory and Tony have been on ONE other season as this show, as had Vince. Tom it was 2 before this, I believe. In seasons past, that was still considered being a rookie. I get that they need to create a new generation of people. I just wish they wouldn't try to play the rookie/vet card because essentially EVERYONE, except for Bananas, Wes, KellyAnne, Nany, Sarah, and Camila, is a rookie this season.
  8. Also need to add--if Carole truly wanted Lu out of her life, she could have quit the show. When she signed up, she knew she'd have to film with Lu at some point and possibly go on a trip with her. So for her to act like this is some egregious thing for her to deal with now and that she can't handle it is comical. It's part of your contract, sweetheart. Play along or leave the show.
  9. I cannot that Beth gave Carole the final say-so in who would get to go to Mexico with the group...like when did Carole become queen of the world? I don't get it. The more Carole is on this show, the more I can't stand her. The first season she was on, I found her quirky and humorous. Now I just see someone who is completely self-obsessed mean girl. Take her fight with Lu--I get why she's mad at her and think she has a right to be, but did Carole ever own the fact that she also took part in social media fights and said mean things about the Countess? If she has, I never heard it come out of her mouth. I don't think she really "owns her stuff" either. I'm glad her and Bethenny are friends, but I don't like B giving her the power to exclude others from trips or outings. Especially since she's being sort of immature about the whole issue she has with Lu. You're in your 50's, Carole. Move on.
  10. Is this "great TV?" No, not really. I think it's just a fun, guilty pleasure of a show, much like The Royals and Pretty Little Liars are. It's fun to watch and follow. I think because those were my expectations going in, I really enjoyed it and became interested in the story. I also hope they don't draw out the killer reveal, because that does get tiresome (as Pretty Little Liars became tiresome), but I thought this was a lot of fun. I'll be tuning in. Plus, Billy Zane...
  11. My apologies if you never meant any harm, it was confirmed in this ep that she did legally adopt Sof but I know before it was only assumed and we were never told outright that she had. I guess you just missed that part in this ep, an honest mistake if so. Yes I did miss it! My attention was in and out of the episode. Sorry! I'm shocked the writers didn't make it more of a thing in the past because I could have seen that being an issue. Mark was part of Sofia's life for a time, after all...but I'm glad I know that now. It changes my out look for sure.
  12. Some of the responses (including ones in this very thread) have been maddening. Arizona, by law, is Sofia's mother too. Any judge worth their salt and who isn't incredibly prejudiced wouldn't throw that out just because they don't biologically share the same DNA. I'm one of those people and obviously missed the part where Arizona said she adopted Sofia. I don't remember that ever being on the show before this episode, and to be honest I was in and out of this episode in terms of attention span. My apologies to people I offended--clearly I missed an important fact of the case.
  13. The stated in this episode that Arizona adopted Sofia. OKay--then I missed it. My mistake.
  14. Yes in the courtroom Arizona specifically said she LEGALLY adopted Sophia. That was her whole point in how she is no less a parent than Callie in this situation. Then I must have missed it--in that case, she has every right that Callie does. Sorry about that. They must have JUST brought that up this episode because I don't remember that being any plot point on the show in the past.
  15. That would be true if the other person wanting custody was a relative, like a grandmother. Not too long ago, gay couples could not adopt kids together, be cause two people cannot both be the mothers, or the Fathers. But laws have changed, and while Callie is the biological parent, AZ is the adoptive parent, and has the same legal standing. Before this hearing , they were coparenting, with joint custody. AZ has the same rights as if they were a hetero couple who had a child together. But did Arizona ever legally adopt Sofia? I don't think so. That's my argument and my point. Maybe I didn't convey it well. If she had legally adopted her after Mark's passing and her and Callie were both legally known as Sofia's parents, then I retract my statement. But I don't recall that occurring.
  16. The more I see this post, the more pissed I get. It is pretty much saying "yeah they are both equal parents BUT some parents are more equal than others." I never meant to imply that Callie was more of a parent than Arizona. But legally, I don't think Arizona ever adopted Sofia. If she did, and I'm mistaken, please feel free to correct me. I'm saying from an entirely LEGAL, non-emotional standpoint, it does not make sense.
  17. I watch Are You The One (you guys it's seriously the best trainwreck there is) and Cheyenne is the best. Devin sucks, but I really hope they can pull it together, because she's awesome and I want to see her go far. Agree with others' comments that I can't take the now "vets" seriously. When I think of vets, I think of Bananas and Wes of course, but also CT, Paula, Mark, Brad, Derrick, Kenny, Evan, Rachel, Coral...definitely not Nany and definitely not Camila. Not to mention that nearly everyone else has only been on 1 or 2 other challenges--that's not a veteran. That being said, I was happy to see Wes again. I've always been "Team Wes". I'm also reluctant to admit this, but Jenna has grown on me. I always find Sarah irksome but if Bananas could actually get over his deflated ego he could maybe pull out a win with her. The two of them are strong competitors. He needs to get his head out of his butt.
  18. I'm sorry, but nope. Nope nope nope nope nope. The fact of the matter is, while Arizona is a parent to Sofia, Callie is the BIOLOGICAL parent, and she is 100% a fit mother. No judge in his or her right mind would separate a child from their biological parent if they are, in fact, a fit parent. I don't care if Arizona comes across as more sympathetic or not, that would just never happen.
  19. I think Jodie's performance really showed that the issue has not been about her, but about Keo. I don't know what it is, but it's almost like Keo is not playing to her strength or showing her full potential. Her performance with Val was worlds better than anything she's done so far and it seemed as if something clicked. It's unfortunate about the scores mishap with Nyle, but he didn't seem all that upset about it. Bottom line is he delivered the best performance of the show so far. And he quieted any naysayers who said he could only perform to songs with a strong bass. I was thrilled for him, although I could have done without Tyra's self-indulgent visit to his rehearsal. Something about Ginger really bugs me, and I just cannot pinpoint it. I recognize that she's good but for whatever reason whenever she performs I want to fast forward. It's like she's always trying too hard. I can't explain it.
  20. Dorinda might drink a bit too much, but why is everyone faulting her for having her boyfriend's back and sticking up for him? It's way disrespectful for the other women to constantly trash John to Dorinda and behind her back as well. They're entitled to their opinion, but they shouldn't be surprised when Dorinda wants to hear none of it and stick up for her man. I also think John is disgusting and that Dorinda could do eons better, but if she wants to be in that relationship, they either need to be her friends and stfu about it or choose to end the friendship and move along. The bottom line is Dorinda is a grown ass woman who can date whoever the hell she wants, and I think it's admirable that she shuts the others down with their BS and sticks by her guy. Good for you, D! Even if I agree with Beth I think her approach sucks and that it was disrespectful of her to treat Dorinda like that at an event she was hosting. Plain and simple.
  21. This season was exhausting. I think the Brandi/Kim trainwreck of last season made Rinna look good in comparison and now people see her for the annoying, attention-seeking shit-stirrer that she is. I couldn't stand her last season and I can't stand her now. And Eileen is both boring and intolerable at the same time with her starting a coalition against LVP. It's just irksome. I still love Yo even though I do agree that it's enough about the illness already, and Erika was a lovely addition to the cast. I'd like to see Rinna and Eileen go though and maybe bring back Kim or Brandi? I'm sure I'll get flack for that and it'll never happen, but honestly at least the drama with Brandi and Kim was entertaining and about varied incidents. This whole season was due to Rinna and Eileen and 2 ridiculous incidents that should have been resolved within one episode. They need to make some changes or I'm over this show.
  22. I personally disagree with your ranking of Nyle and thought he was underscored. I thought he did better than Jodie and Marla, at the very least. I also feel as though Keo is not doing Jodie's dance ability justice. I do love Keo though. I think he's a great partner and pro who seems to really have Jodie's back. But with that being said, this is the first season he's been on as a pro where he didn't leave in weeks 1 or 2 so I think he's still getting his legs and trying to figure it out as he goes. I'm glad Marla went, simply because I love Doug and even though he's not good, he tries hard and has a great attitude. I like when contestants know their limits but still give it their all and want to nail it. I see that in Doug, and it's appreciated.
  23. Nyle is doing so wonderfully so far! I also loved how Peta made a remark about how the judges criticized his musicality. I agreed that for week 2 that's not a great critique for a deaf contestant.
  24. LVP keeps Jax and forgives all his bullshit because women come in to the restaurant specifically to see Jax. He's good for business. That's all it comes down to. The fact that her customers and fans love him and love to watch him is what makes him one of her favorites. People might make fun of Jax, but they love to make fun of Jax. I think we can all agree that he is a large part of what makes the show interesting. James is disgusting and I love Stassi for calling him out on the way he treats women. I've read comments in other forums saying that Stassi is one to talk because of insults and things she has said to people in the past, but to me it's just not the same. Stassi said bitchy remarks, but it was to people of all genders and was never on the level of abusive, IMO. Just mean. Agree about Tom S attempting to shame Stassi for reconciling with Kristen when he forgave Jax in 5 minutes...WTF is that about. Even if Stassi was only trying to get back on the show, who cares? She's still apologizing with a level of sincerity. Last I check Jax gave an apology, but it was like pulling teeth to get one and lacked any sort of self-awareness or sincerity, and Tom forgave him! What's the problem with Kristen and Stassi forgiving one another? Ariana. Oh Ariana. I did love you your first couple seasons on the show. But after this year I think you need to go. I agree with her sentiment that SUR and the show are toxic environments, but baby girl, it's the toxic environment responsible for your paycheck. So if you can't play along with a bit of humor and stop being such a sourpuss, walk away and find something else to do. You kind of are too sane to be here anyway.
  25. I think Mischa signed up for this having no idea what the hell she was getting herself into. After The OC she had a mental breakdown and was actually hospitalized for it, and I just think she's someone who is incredibly fragile and has a difficult time coping in general. I just don't think a show like this, where there is a lot of pressure to perform, it's live, and you're expected to give your time to a partner is just not a good fit for her. She needs a lower stress, low key job. I'm confused as to why her manager would push her to do this knowing what she's been through and the struggles she's faced since her time on The OC, actually. Her career has kind of gone down the tubes and now she's in made for TV lifetime movies most of the time. If this was supposed to be a comeback, it failed because she doesn't have the personality for this. I feel kind of bad for her and want her to leave if her heart isn't in it.
