  1. Jax is gorgeous - glad they told her how to fix her hair - she was looking like Loretta Lynn at auditions. Madeline's makeover was fabulous - especially her eye makeup, she looked like a different person. I thought it was ironic that Rose and madeline were gracious and articulate while being cut and Megan was a train wreck and she was given more time.
  2. Silverleaf - YES. OMG if I see any more cows or statues of cows I'm going to throw something at the TV. Yes, they're in Texas. We KNOW. And the intricate details of the Yes, No, Maybe system explained annually make my teeth hurt as well.
  3. Colby won me over (mostly) in this episode. Before when she said that nonsense about the unity and hard work of the american people and that she was looking forward to being a mentor and sharing her life experience I was rolling my eyes big time. But here she handled herself well with Kelli being brutally honest with her. I wish she hadn't done all the work to her face - it seems like she'd look much better just leaving her face alone. She's pretty and she's only 31 - too early to do all that IMO. I like Rose too - but she looks like Leslie Van Houten from the Manson family and it kinda freaks me out.
  4. Yay for Tiege for getting to be a Laker Girl. And I was squirming when Kelli was talking about Kelsey and how "she just wants Neal to sing to her" etc. BLECH. No, she doesn't. Really.
  5. Some random observations: - Courtney had the ugliest interview dress I've ever seen on the show. - Poor Teague was in tears almost the entire prep session at Kitty's. She unfortunately does not have an HD face, either. - Was a little surprised that Rose made it after saying Uncle Sam instead of JFK. She must be a very good dancer. - Holly is adorable. - Some of the judges' qualifications are just wacky. The local meteorologist? Really? - Neal McCoy is seriously creepy. He gives me the heebie jeebies. - I wanted to see more rookies being announced into training camp - there were several that weren't shown even for a second. Perhaps they didn't sign the waiver to be filmed or something, who knows. Looking forward to the first practice!
  6. I would love to see someone do a "dramatic interpretation" for finals. LOL. Like a girl doing Hamlet's soliloquy would get them into training camp?
  7. There was a girl auditioning who I swear was Chandler (the poor girl with the huge grin who someone said looked like a grandma and then Kelli said danced like a chicken) from last season. She had on a grey top & shorts with blue/green accents and was in the first 5 dancers I think. Did anyone else notice her?
  8. I love Mia, but I thought the audition piece's choreo was absolutely horrific.
  9. Is that KaShara talking about her attention span? She looks so cute and youthful there. And she looks about 40 in her cameo photo. Still shaking my head about many of those this year.
  10. I am definitely looking forward to the makeover episode - I have to say this is the first time it seems like several of the girls actually looked much better before than after.
  11. Nice to see Kinzie featured in the CMT banner for the show. Have always enjoyed watching her.
  12. This forum is so much more entertaining than the actual show. I am old, so when Marj/Christine talked about the Lifeforce, it reminded me of this ridiculous movie about vampires from space that came out when I was in high school, called, you guessed it, Lifeforce. I think they should inject some elements of that movie into this show. It would make it more fun to watch. This show could be so entertaining if they stop trying to be a serious show and embrace their campy over the top ridiculousness.
  13. Me too - I was a Madeline fan. Too bad for her. Can't wait for the show!
  14. I thought the show did a good job - Jennifer K had the only speaking part when she was teaching Nicole and Cheryl the choreography - and I could've sworn I saw Mia there, which was a little odd. The stunting parts were not with the DCC but were incorporated in the end of the routine.
  15. I know the conventional wisdom is the strugglers make for better television, but not for me. The Morgan show a couple years ago just annoyed me, as did the Breelan show this year. I love the segments where they talk about things the girls have had to overcome, like Jasmine's club foot or Jen K's childhood illness, etc. But show us the girls who have good stories and are also fantastic dancers - that to me is great television. Not Judy yelling at girls who are clearly struggling. Ugh.
  16. Oh the tree girl - I was just thinking about her! I think she was going for an Eve and the apple theme - interesting choice for tryouts, ha. I think her name was Jamie. She tried out a bunch of times - I always liked her look.
  17. Kinzie is such an amazing dancer. Sometimes I think her talents are kind of lost in the DCC. The choreo does not do her justice - "sexy hips" is just a waste of her talent IMO. There are many girls that are too good for the choreography. It's disappointing.
  18. Hmm - maybe she'll cheer for the Gold Rush or the Raiderettes. I wish her the best - I always liked her.
  19. Cheerpink - can you post a link to Erica's instagram? Would love to see her solo. Thank you!
  20. I love reading these forums and everyone's opinions! It's funny, I got so mad at the writing on the show last night - I LOATHE what they're doing with Juliette. Remember a couple weeks ago when she was laying in bed in some sort of onesie and being relaxed and telling Avery it's fine that he's out on the road and to stop calling her every few minutes? And to go from that to how she was last night, totally immature and insecure and conniving and making a scene in public? It was so annoying and over the top to me. I still cannot stand Jeff and think he adds absolutely nothing to the show. When Layla made out with him I was so disappointed. She can do so much better than him, plus the age difference still creeps me out. Christina Aguilera has always impressed me as a singer and she was entertaining last night as an actress as well. But her face was somewhat frightening - she's had work done or botox or something and looked like a barbie doll - it was disconcerting.
  21. I remain squicked out by the age difference between Layla and Jeff (isn't she supposed to be 19 or something?), so I am glad she's sending him down the road talkin' to himself as far as them dating. She used to be my most loathed character and now I think she is sort of awesome. I wish they'd let her sing more. And they don't seem to have much for Jeff to do so Teddy is becoming the resident mustache twirling villain. The writing on this show is so weak sometimes. Loved the emotional scenes with Rayna and Deacon though. They really are fantastic actors, and letting us see the lines on their faces just added to the authenticity of those scenes. Beautifully done.
  22. Whoa, I completely forgot Derek Hough was even on the show. Yikes. His character does seem rather pointless, doesn't it - however I don't really want him to return either. Maybe we'll see him and Juliette at their movie premiere and she'll go into labor on the red carpet. Ha.
  23. My two favorite things this episode were Avery's mother ("shut up, Carl" - priceless) and Rayna's hair. Seriously, it looked AMAZING. Glad Zoey will be leaving - poor girl is gorgeous but adds absolutely nothing to the show. Loved loved loved Avery telling Juliette they will be better parents than their own. Love those two.
  24. Kristina needs to be the one who dies. Her whiny voice makes me want to punch something. And how she deals with her children is appalling. Then Adam will actually have to get help for Max, who will be much better off.
