Chiron was the only one I missed in mythology.

I really remember Chiron because of the Percy Jackson books, regular books on mythology that I have read don't mention him that much and I've never read the Iliad. With FJ I had just decided there were no newer type ships or land vehichles around 1955-60 and moved on to aircraft when the time ran out.

  2. I got FJ! happy dance! at first all I could think of was that painting of Ophelia (looked it up it's by Millais) then I remembered the term Pre Raphaelite, and then said Raphael. I think I read a mystery once that used that painting for something or other?🤔 Also got Whose Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf, and that's about it.

    Anybody else Wildcard Wornout?

Actually, no. Mostly because I hardly remember anybody and it plays just like a regular game so I don't really care. It's not as if I usually remember how many games someone has won unless they turn out to be a super champ.

On FJ, my mind went to the civil rights act and I didn't know when that was passed,

My first thought was that but then I knew it was the girls in sports one but could not bring any number to mind. Actually, the film Bend It Like Beckham popped into my mind because I know they reference it in there but I don't know if they specifically called it by name. Anyway I was lost in my thoughts way to long to even begin a guess.

I didn't really think it was right, but I said Mr. Darcy.  However, I meant the one in Bridget Jones' Diary.

    I got the missed clues of 99 & 86

Me too! also got Heartbreak Hotel and all of the Toys & Games.

    Reality TV shows, I wonder?

There were a few posts here and there on a few Reality shows that I watch, not whole threads, just individual posts. If I thought they went too far I would report the post and let the Mods take care of it, they don't want us to engage, just report. Most forums that I'm in, including Jeopardy, are very polite and non-confrontational.

I guessed "45s," which are not the same as LPs, but are records.
If anyone here is familiar with the movie: Would "45s" have been accepted?

I also said '45s' so I googled it, there was a clip from the film and it showed him playing an LP (331/3) record. So no, I don't think 45s would have been accepted.

For FJ, I said the Great Pyramid. Happy to be in the right country.

I also said the Great Pyramid, thinking of the mountain shape and the gold top shown in the second Mummy movie (not that I know if that was historical, but it fit the clue)

No FJ for me tonight.  I've never read Heart of Darkness, though I have seen Apocalypse Now, and I've heard of Kurtz.  Had no idea it was German for short.

I think I did have to read Heart of Darkness once for a lit class, don't really remember it, remember a little more from Apocalypse Now. Still never occurred to me for FJ.

Got Lexicographer, Garth Brooks, and the missed DDs Stanley and Livingstone and Nightengale. Could not remember Gordon Cooper's last name.

Interesting to see that all three contestants wagered $0 for FJ, and it was pretty much the best choice for all of them.

I thought so too and that if Mira hadn't answered that last clue it wouldn't have been a runaway. You could tell Kate knew as soon as Mira got it that it was over for her.

My TSs were the Caspian Sea (pure luck as I always mix it up with the Black Sea and usually say the wrong one), yawning and the Wife of Bath which I was surprised on one got. I still remember my HS teacher making us listen to some of the tales in Middle English.

My first thought for FJ was the Taj Mahal but knew it wasn't on the flag of India then I knew it was that temple over there 👉but totally blanked on both the name of the site and the country. 😞

    Instaget FJ for me tonight.

While I'm pretty sure I would've got it anyway, I had to laugh because someone I follow on Twitter just did a poll this morning asking which version of A Star is Born do you like best and listing: Janet Gaynor, Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand and Lady Gaga! So funny!

I also liked this season of The Bay, but it seemed like too much was going on and some developments that would've been interesting to see play out happened off screen.

I binged all 4 seasons of The Bay so I did not run into 'a week between episodes' problem. I liked that it wasn't as drawn out as say Broadchurch, and so didn't get too far afield but I did think that the solutions involved some characters that were 'on screen' for almost literally seconds! I like trying to guess who did it but how can you even start when the person is never shown and hardly talked about? It took me a bit to recognize Joe Armstrong in the last series which was weird because it looks like his nose is starting to look more like his dad's!

I usually don't like storylines involving the lead's children but I thought both seasons 3 and 4 did a good enough job of reasons for it. (hate the ones where an adorable child of 'cop' grows up to be a depressed/druggie/runaway/troubled teen out of nowhere)

Agree with someone upthread? who said they'd refuse to let these so called Liaison officers in the house, these people feel more like/act more like spies than someone who should be helping you.

I hope Martha practices saying “what is” before she returns.

This bugged me more than it probably should have, but after she lost a clue because of it, she almost did it again! I think she should go the Matt Amodio route and just start saying What's...? every time she rings in.

    I went with Porgy.

Me too.  It was wrong but at least Paul Robeson did play Porgy. And there was a murder committed in Porgy and Bess although not not committed by Porgy.

And me, glad I wasn't the only one. Othello never occurred to me. I was somewhat distracted by a recent Twitter thread where people were listing actors who had been professional athletes and Robeson came up, I hadn't known that about him so when he came up in this clue my brain decided to reflect on that for a while.🤔

    That was a great game!

It really was, Long got into the 5 digits w/o the DDs the others got and then was the only one to get FJ. It was great!

FJ for me was an instaget, my grandaughter has one every single morning! and only moves between 2 flavors.

Vera is a DCI, Detective Chief Inspector, DI is Detective Inspector, she still outranks him.
