  1. I guessed Ferdinand for FJ so at least I was close. I got speculation, leading question, All Creatures Great and Small, relativity, and fettle. The 'candela' answer reminded me of an Amazing Race episode where someone didn't know what a candelabra was and kept pronouncing it like 'candela' with a 'bra' at the end. I thought Harold's way of holding his buzzer was a little unfortunate and I couldn't really look at him when he was on screen.🫣
  2. Not only did I know that a moose is a deer but the picture looked like a baby moose, I don't know why no one got that. And the Sheldon Cooper thing was funny.
  3. No, there were definitely a few seasons where there were 'extra' clues in the box. I don't know when they started that and it looks like they don't do it anymore but there were definitely extra clues at some point in time. This is from Wikipedia which obviously hasn't been updated but at some point was true: In early seasons, the box contained exactly the number of clues for teams on that leg, allowing teams to indirectly determine their current placement in the leg by counting envelopes. In more recent seasons, extra envelopes are left in clue boxes to prevent this from occurring.
  4. I thought that they both should have had to eat it, but yeah, I don't know if producers thought someone would kick up a fuss about it but yogurt is so common these days I don't think anyone would have a problem with it. In the camel milking episode (season 12) that I reference above, they had to drink the milk after they reached the line in the bowl. People did have a bit more of a problem with it since it was warm and (probably) dirty, I think maybe even a few bugs had got in to some. But they all drank it as fast as they could.
  5. No. They couldn't, in your picture you can see another box past the shoulder of one of the guys, that's the one with the clues which they are not allowed to open until they have either said that they are not u-turning anyone or have chosen who they are u-turning. Though I think they did it wrong, I thought the big pic was for the u-turned team and the little one for the team that u-turned them?
  6. Glenda and Lumbumba in season 35 drove into a ditch, a farmer got them out with a tractor, I don't think there are rules against the public helping out a team. I kept saying 'There's no MIILLLKKKKKKK! until my daughter started looking annoyed with me. Season 12-Lorena. They had literally said not too long before that they saw Han & Holden and Nick & Mike. Then they seemed to totally forget about H&H as they ran to the board. This is what I told my daughter, by that time everyone seemed to have forgotten that C&J hadn't been seen all day. Luckily for them. I really, really want Phil's hat, pretty please!
  7. I did get FJ, Africa, monkeys and epidemic didn't leave me with many fictional character choices. I too paused because none of that equaled Jane Goodall!!
  8. My only thought for this FJ, really, my only one, was a fleeting thought about that building in L.A. that's supposed to look like a stack of records.
  9. But it didn't say Sun Records, it said Stax. I would never have got this in a million years, even if they had told me it was in Memphis
  10. And I am old right along with you, it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the name. And considering that, him answering in Italian was especially funny.
  11. Either Kat or Corwin have the possibility of coming back. I'm hoping for Corwin, but I do like Kat so I could live with that. I was hoping Vinnie and Lana would be the ones going, I don't like him and I have problems remembering her, I just had to scroll up to find someone who mentioned her name, I can never remember.
  12. I have no idea what Biff's last name is so I'm glad my answer was accepted. And I knew Dr. Seuss wouldn't be, I was expecting to see a scoring change when they came back from commercial and I was right. Dr is definitely not his middle name.
  13. I've got Alyssa and Josiah down, it's Mark and his husband who I keep forgetting, every time they put Mark's name on the screen I thought 'who?' I thought that guys name was Mike, and then they would show him or his husband (whose name escapes me) and I would remember, at least for a few minutes.
  14. Or, as my daughter says after I look at her incredulously for not knowing something I think is obvious, 'You don't know what you don't know'
  15. I'm so glad I gave this a try. It's quirky and funny and really very good. As soon as I watched the first episode I texted my sister to tell her to watch too. She enjoys a lot of the same mysteries that I do, Brokenwood, Vera, Chelsea Detective, Death in Paradise..., but doesn't like a lot of swearing in the ones she watches (I am so inured to it I hardly ever notice when they swear, last one she bailed on was A Remarkable Place to Die). But I told her, no swearing you'll like it. And she did.
  16. And Cesare Danova!
  17. I knew her whole name was Ann-Margret Olsson so I knew she was Swedish but I actually just watched Viva Las Vegas a few weeks ago on TCM. She was one of his co-stars who could actually keep up with him musically. I mean Shelley Fabares has a sweet voice and even had a hit record but not in the same class as Elvis. Truthfully, my knowledge of Wicked comes from Glee fanfiction. Two of the characters on the show love it and so it has worked it's way into some of the fanfic, including the character of Boq. And both Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth played characters on Glee (which is how I knew about their connection to Wicked).
  18. Another FJ that I knew without ever having read or seen the source material. Was surprised by the Ann-Margret TS.
  19. This was me too, so many ads!
  20. Season 35, episode 3, the older agent got Joel and Garrett and at least one other team on an earlier flight.
  21. I got FJ because of the series The Borgias and Ronan Vibert playing Giovanni Sforza.
  22. I don't think iMonrey was talking about the order they leave in, they were talking about the vagaries of booking flights, how many times have we seen that one travel agent will find a faster flight, or teams decide to risk a close connection. It's the DRAMA! they want. They want teams fighting over flights, want them to try to keep what they are doing from other teams, want the team that gets there last to luck into an earlier flight because someone canceled etc. Each team booking with an iPad in 'correct order' is boring. Even the farce of them going to the same travel agent is better in my opinion, especially if the first teams out get lost along the way. (only my opinion, of course)
  23. It's easiest to see on the women when they are wearing a tank top or if they get wet. Usually the guys shirts cover it pretty well.
  24. Eddie Timanus wrote on Twitter: It pretty much goes without saying that this was a #Layup for me.
  25. ? am I missing something? All the amendment clues were answered, 2 by Josh, 2 by Bryce, 1 by Allison.
