Regarding Emily: she had such a sweet personality, so I think she might have a good shot if her dancing has improved. I believe Kelli dubbed her "Snake Eyes" on the first night of TC when they were doing across-the-floor lines/kicks. I'll be interested to see how it goes for her. I always root a little more for the ones who have a 2nd chance at it. If the memory mistakes are gone and her facials are fixed, she should make it in with no issue this season.

I'm hoping they take a big team this year! I'm really hoping my favs make the team. Can't wait to hear some more spoilers now that week 1 is done :)

Regarding "Thunderstruck": they probably have licensing in place for that song. Unfortunately, you can't just use any song in public without paying for its use. More than likely, they got a deal on it and they're getting every penny out of it. Well, first week of training camp is over. I wonder who had a great week and who is nervous going in to next week?

I think if I was a TCC, I wouldn't be able to sleep a wink tonight with TC starting tomorrow! Wishing all the TCCs good luck this week :)

I've been watching MTT since the first 2 hour special, but this is my first year getting "spoiled" for TC. I have to say, I'm so happy for all the TCCs. I can't imagine how excited, yet nervous they must feel right now. 2 more days until they have their first meeting at VR. If CMT was smart, they could post some talking heads from the TCCs/Vets each week leading up to the season premier (just a quick snippet). I think it's safe to say, we'd all watch :) After seeing the pics/vids of improved technique in a few of the TCCs, I'm really looking forward to watching their progress in TC. Losing 11 girls is going to be tough. I'm hoping they decide to take 38-40. Then they'd only have to cut 7-9. Another poster said above that they "live vicariously" through MTT. I have to agree. When I was a little girl, I used to wish I was a DCC. In fact, I was a DCC for Halloween 2 years in a row in the late 70s/early 80s. Of course, the shorts weren't so tiny way back then :)

Just speculation, but sometimes, people like Shelbi, who come from privilege, think if they invest time & money into something then it should automatically be handed to them. Remember when she was crying in TC that it was "so hard on her" to see her friends make it on the team and not her? It was all about her. When you've grown up getting what you want, you don't handle rejection well. That's obvious by the BF comments and her backing his actions. Well, you reap what you sow, and that's probably going to blackball her in a few circles around there. Not a smart move.

Yeah, looking forward to getting to "meet" the new girls on the show. I hate that we have to wait until August! Hopefully, some of the TCCs will post a few pics for us :)

Cristi is from here in Michigan. Went to MSU & danced on the Pistons (NBA team). I'm really surprised she didn't make it in to TC. They did a little snippet on the news about her auditioning. Hope she tries out again. When we lived in Illinois, my son went to school with Justine, who also auditioned this year. She was always a good dancer, even when she was young. She's only 18, so she should definitely try again.

Wow, the clip they show of the DCC practicing at around the 14 minute mark in the video is from like 1991 or so. The girls are MUCH bigger in the midsection than they are today. I don't think half of them would make the squad with today's standards. The heartfelt expressions by Kelli at the 19 minute mark about leaving Valley Ranch were really sweet. You can see how hard it's going to be for them to move. Will they hold DCC TC at Valley Ranch one last time this summer? Or will this year's TC be the first group in the new facility at Frisco?

I'm glad to see she had such a big improvement. I know some give her a bad rap for wanting to make the team so badly, but I admire her determination. Good for her for making TC. She might actually have a good shot at the team if she can pick up choreography quick enough. I guess I'll be rooting for both Kelsey & Amy now :)

Yeah, I just took a look. What a difference! I can see why they took her in to training camp. She really improved her appearance and put in a lot of work to get those kicks in shape. Good for her :)

Anyone else notice Jinelle *always* does the same hip shake/arm flail move EVERY solo each season? It's like the same dance, different costume.

They don't give out the Barbies until the first night of Training Camp. That hasn't started yet. They just announced who made it in to TC last night.

Yes! My favorite part of each season is rooting on my favorites. I love it when they finally announce the squad and see how thrilled they are that they made it. I was thinking the same thing. There are quite a few repeat auditioners who have never gone to TC and there are a few who have already been TCCs. I'm wondering if it's going to be one big fell swoop cut so they can say "see internet? This is why we didn't pick them before". But I'm hoping I'm wrong about a few of them. Redemption arcs make for good story lines. I'd love to see Kelsey go from being pegged as the "dumb girl/50 yards on a football field" person to someone who worked really hard to improve her interviewing skills. I don't think she was as "ditzy" as they tried to portray her last season. Especially given they took others in to TC with very stupid or "blank" answers (remember the girl who quit for anatomy class? Her interview was awful). I'm hoping Kelsey goes in to TC and knocks it out of the park! Yes, please!!! Keep us updated :)

Are the new TCCs not allowed to post anything about making it in to training camp on their Instagram accounts? I would think Kelsey, Amy, Madeline and the others would have posted something by now.

She struggled so much to pick up the choreography last season. I can't imagine that she'd have improved enough in a year to make it worthwhile to take her back in to TC.

I'm hoping they decide to have a big squad again. They had 40 girls once, why not again? That allows them to have 10 girls in each group. Plenty of buffer for injuries & weight issues, too :)
