  1. I definitely thought it might have been a dream as well since we flash right back to the plane and Ted getting home. But someone on Tumblr pointed out that Ted can't dream about people he never met (like Rebecca's Dutch guy, etc), so perhaps it is a flashforward in the midst of Ted's present?
  2. San Diego! You’re next on the Brett tour on June 10th https://linktr.ee/mrbrettgoldstein Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am and if the last two cities are any indication, they will sell out in about 10-20 minutes. If you’re in the area, it’s totally worth it!
  3. Isaac goes to touch it before playing West Ham and it falls in two (then he touches Jamie to see if he has powers 😂). Trent finds the surveillance footage to see that it was Nate. Beard and Roy show the footage to the team during halftime and they lose their minds in a flurry of red cards. When they get back to Nelson Road, Ted gives a speech that Believe is more than a sign and rips it up. Apparently, after that, the boys each took a piece instead of it being thrown away. I never paid attention to that spot above the door to notice it was missing until last night but I assume it was.
  4. "Chris, do you mind if I cry?" This episode felt a bit like a Stefan sketch - it really had everything and I didn't hate it even a little. After such an uneven season, I was on the edge of my seat till nearly the last and I'm happy I was along for the journey. Nate coming back as a kitman was NOT what I was expecting, but I'm happy to have him reprise that role for one game before becoming a coach. So many callbacks in the Judge McAdoo scene that I can't list them all, but trust me, I was squealing! And special shoutout to my love, Jamie Tartt for his 180 by putting EXTRA money in the box instead of being too good for the collection box when we met him. Though I'm sure some people will be upset, THANK YOU for not having Rebecca and Ted end up together in the last episode. There was enough bait to keep the shippers happy for a long while for sure, but it wouldn't have been organic IMO and I'm happy to have them just be besties. (Though I really hope Ted doesn't get back together with his wife - and I'm happy to see that she did manage to dump the shady marriage counselor.) Didn't necessarily need Rebecca's re-meet cute with her Dutch fella, but very excited for her future nonetheless. I will need to re-watch the Sound of Music flashmob performance again because I was screaming during all of it because it was SO PERFECT! Having Dani be Gretl was inspired and I absolutely died when the whole crowd of fans and players lost their minds after Ted loved it. Was that Will who ripped his shirt off and ran?? I did NOT love Roy and Jamie being dicks to each other at the bar, but I did love Keeley serving it back to them that she's not a prize to be won. Excellent deployment of a Kelly Taylor, "I choose me." Of course, as an OT3 fan, there's an easy solution to the problem and they should just all make out. I still say that's what's happening in Ted's dream flash-forward. (Also shoutout to ROY IN THERAPY with Dr. Sharon!) Plus Roy is now an official Diamond Dog! I hope Trent gets to keep attending meetings even with the book out! Has Rupert (or Anthony Head) always limped and I never noticed or was that telegraphing something? (Apologies if so as I don't mean to pick on the actor, but it just was very noticeable to me in this episode.) Incredible callback to a man in black striding on the field, but this time, he's a villain. Can't believe GEORGE is the better person here, but glad to have one person remain unredeemed in this universe! The game was INCREDIBLE! Normally, I'm like the Marriage Counselor Fuckhead because I find soccer incredibly boring, but I really was on the edge of my seat for this match. Dr. Sharon and I were much alike in our watching, actually. Adore Isaac getting his first penalty ever and sending it through the net! COLIN GOT TO KISS HIS FELLA! Lasso did his dance in the middle of his team! And after all that, they didn't win the League, but it doesn't even matter because the boys kept pieces of the Believe sign to put back together before the last game of the season and now I'M SOBBING! Love this himbos always and forever! So excited Mae's got team shares and the Pub Trio have got one too! Ted's dream was lovely and reminded me of the end of Enchanted or any 80s movie worth its salt. Beard's wild wedding with his toxic, pregnant girlfriend is so on brand - with Roy as Best Man (where is TED in that little flashforward!). Keeley and Rebecca start a women's side! It's now KBPR! Roy's the gaffer! Sam does get to be in the Nigerian team! OMG - just everything! Everyone's okay and lovely! It wasn't the best series finale I've ever seen, but it was very good. Everyone's okay and lovely and we're leaving them better than we found them, which is really all we can ask for in life. I’m sure I’ll have more thoughts in the days and weeks to come, but I can go to bed happy with a heart full of AFC Richmond. There really is no place like it.
  5. Apple TV+ still has it listed as "So Long, Farewell" in the app 🤷‍♀️
  6. Part of the strike is not promoting content of the struck company of which Apple TV+ is one. Add to that the fact that late talk shows aren't happening, there's not a lot of venues for promotion if they wanted, though the cast does seem to be posting on their Instagrams. Phil shared some BTS photos from season 1 today: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs4bLrFyM53/ Toheeb has this on his Insta: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs25OIpogJG/ Cristo has the same reel on his: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs20VwItEdu/ David Elsendoorn shared the same reel: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs33nq4IgMz/ Billy Harris has this photo 😭 https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs32vO9N964/ Charlie Hiscock has some BTS photos: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs4Eq1hNZAL/ Other cast members may have more, but this is my cursory glance at Instas.
  7. In case you were wondering what the cast is doing today: 🥰
  8. Now that could just be about the finale, but I doubt it.
  9. For next season, maybe? But also they've won like 10-15 games in a row now, so what exactly do they need Nate for? This isn't even my "this Nate storyline makes no sense lens" - I can't believe that professional footballers, who are likely superstitious as fuck, would want to even change their socks, much less their coach and/or strategy at this point in the season. I know fuckall about soccer, but that seems like it would be a story beat for a team that needs help and Richmond (from what we're told) just keeps winning.
  10. Yes, it's been dropping at 6pm PT / 9 pm ET all season. So it's very strange that the Apple TV app still says that it's out on Wednesday, when it's always out on Tuesdays this season.
  11. I laughed, I cried, I got really annoyed at shortcuts being taken to get us to the place we're meant to end up next week. So it goes with Ted Lasso season 3! Starting with annoyances - Nate. Agreeing with a lot of folx from last week's episode thread, where it was articulated the problems with the Nate arc this season. All the "work" is happening off screen and things are just happening without a reason other than it’s how we get Nate standing in line on the Lego board. I still have no idea how or why Nate got to the place where he is now. We see him treating his team like crap, ignoring his coworkers, and accepting large gifts from the Emperor, I mean, Rupert. Then somehow, even though his team is winning and Rupert is happy, Nate becomes unhappy again. He "finally" gets the girl (never introduces her by her name to anyone, so you know he's still the same spitting prick who kissed Keeley because she was nice to him once), his boss finds her wanting, and tries to set up him with another woman. Somehow this triggers something in Nate makes him quit (lets Rupert say in public that he was fired) and then his dad apologizes because he didn't know how to "parent a genius." (I'm sorry what?! Nate's a genius? Okay?) Somehow that apology triggers Nate to apologize to Will by setting up the kit and writing a four word note. Between that incident and the first five minutes of this episode, the team that nearly got all sent off with Red Cards after watching Nate destroy the Believe sign somehow took a vote to ask Nate back as a coach? What? Even if Nate has changed (which I guess we have to believe he has, though there's no reason we've seen), how or why would the AFC Richmond Himbos know that? Because he gave Will lavender? And having Colin of all people be part of that crew is just...what? I know last week I said I was letting it go, but every week, they just baffle me more. Ted's mom is here. Ted spends the episode like a sulky teenager and finally lets loose on his mom the way he should have as a teen. And it turns out his big fear...is loving his kid too much? I'm not a parent and have no desire to be one, so obviously, I have no point of reference or understanding of Ted being away. But this landed short for me. I'm happy Ted was able to be angry for 45 seconds. Hopefully, he'll learn how to let that go more frequently. And obviously, this sets up what everyone has predicted - Ted's going home after the game next week. (If not before) They are truly messing with me with the Roy / Jamie / Keeley stuff, but I'm happy to be baited as long as they keep up the good storylines too. Absolutely love meeting Jamie's mom (so happy she's still alive!) and stepdad, seeing the Jamie shrine, and Jamie's childhood bedroom with posters of Roy AND Keeley. Looks like Jamie had a teen mum? Which of course, makes a lot of sense in how he is now as well as his shitstain, much older father and all of that. Poor Jamie hates his dad, but hates it more that it seems like his dad doesn't even care anymore. (I assume that was his dad in some kind of rehab place at the end of the game? Explains why he's not been blowing up Jamie's phone?) Great game for Jamie, even with so much greenscreen with Pep and all. I was definitely on the edge of my seat, especially when we didn't get a break for halftime. Shout out to Higgins for not moving an inch, just in case! Phil Dunster was excellent in his weird crying in the boot room to Roy. Like we've seen Jamie cry, so it doesn't look like that, but him losing his mind about his Red Bull wings and Will just coming in made me laugh so hard. Again, if there's a spinoff, I need it to be Will just overhearing weird things all the time. Brendan Hunt was excellent in his final Beard speech to Nate and I'm happy we got some backstory on the Ted / Beard friendship. It would have landed better for me if the stuff at the top wasn't true, but I appreciate the message, I guess. It looks like we're ending in a very predictable place (unless this is all Ted's dream from a mental hospital or something) and I'm trying to be okay with it. I've enjoyed my three years with these characters and this show (at least the first two seasons) was very much what I needed in these last three years. Found new actors / writers / creators that I love and a new neighborhood to visit in London next year. Can't be mad at that.
  12. Yeah, he was delightful! I mean, all 2200 of us were primed to find him hilarious (lots of AFC Richmond gear on folx as they walked in), but he really delivered. It definitely felt like a club show, not a theater performance/show which I’ve found rare for comics. He only interacted with the audience a little (even the Q&A was from a box and not a mic), but it felt authentic. There was even a thing at the end where he was like embarrassed to do his final bit for us, but we screamed and he killed it. Photo from Brett’s InstaStory, clearly from question time.
  13. Bringing this over here as it probably doesn't belong in the episode thread, but we don't have a Brett/Roy thread. Sorry - didn't mean to be vague about this! So for those who don't stalk Brett's Instagram, last month, he did his first theatre show in Seattle, which sold out in about 10 minutes. Which led him to announce a show in San Francisco at a local 2200-seat theatre for yesterday - which sold out in about 5 minutes. So he added another show today (which sold out quickly) and led him to add ANOTHER show on Thursday (which may still have some tix). In a fit of Fangirl Madness, I bought front row tickets for me and three friends (which ended up being third row tix because they dropped in two rows in the orchestra pit) and we went to the show last night. There was an opener - Pat something - who was okay, but not really the same vibe as Brett's standup or really the room in general, so it was odd, but quick. Brett had 70 minutes of stand up - some bits he's honed, some he's working on, some he wrote VERY recently. I laughed till I cried for pretty much the whole time and he was delightful. His smile really does light up a fucking room! No photos or videos allowed and the people around us were pretty respectful (because there were at least three security guards in my eyeline since we were so close to the stage. I'm sure folx farther away could sneak pics since they didn't take our phones like I thought they might). After he finished his last bit, he brought a box of questions on stage (which apparently were real - given his response to a couple - but I didn't see the box folx were putting the Qs in when we came in) to answer for another half hour or so. There were a few drunk folx behind us that started screaming "Roy Kent" when he mentioned Ted Lasso, but he jokingly told them to SHADDUP and they did. (I did support them when they asked for proof after a question about how hairy his arse really is - he did not oblige LOL!) Didn’t leave the venue until after 10pm! Given how quickly the Seattle and SF shows sold out (and the price of the tickets), I would definitely be on the lookout for more gigs around the country as Ted Lasso press wraps up (especially as the writer's strike continues). Much of his material is about the differences between the UK and America (it's much funnier than I'm making it seem - there was a whole bit about what you call it when you touch a dog that still has me in stitches!), so I can definitely see him heading out on a standup tour as the year goes on.
  14. Quick thoughts because it's after 1am since I was at Brett Goldstein Live this evening and only got to watch now. So Roy and Keeley are just back together? I'm into it since the break up never made sense, but it feels a little too easy. I am happy that we've dealt with the Ms. Bowen situation; I never really felt any chemistry with them, but I'm happy that she's done. I don't get what's happening with Nate, but I guess with two episodes left, we're just rolling with it. So, Nate quit after Rupert invited him to cheat or dump Jade or whatever? Like, Rupert being a scumbag with women is super common knowledge given that Nate worked for him before (or at least the club - who knows how involved Rupert was at Richmond) and in the tabloids when we join the story in season one, but I guess inviting Nate to do the same was a bridge too far? But his dad apologized, so everything's good. And he wrote Will a four word note, so I guess that counts as well. I'm still puzzled by the entire Nate arc this season, but it's become very clear that this is where we are now, so there's no use handwringing anymore. In a shocking twist to literally only Keeley, Jack's VC firm pulled funding and left Barbara to deal with the fallout. And since it was obvious, Rebecca is clearly going to fund her. While I don't love that it took Roy apologizing to her for being shit for her to get her groove back, I'm just happy that Keeley Fucking Jones seems to be back in the building. Edwin Akufu is such a delightful weirdo, even as he causes problems for our fav, Sam. Luckily, Sam has learned to roll with it and here's hoping that Edwin finds something shiny to distract him the next time there's a call up. Rebecca's speech was nice, but ultimately completely unbelievable. I believe that she believes it, but there's no way she convinced those other rich men to ditch out in 10 minutes. Don't buy it, even if I love that for her. Fav parts of the episode: 1. Roy's Uncle's Day Party, featuring JAMIE TARTT! OMG! I was losing my mind the whole time, especially with Jamie bringing such a fabulous gift for Roy. AND we got to meet Roy's sister, even if she didn't get a name. Plus Roy walking around in that tie-dye shirt ALL DAY was absolutely wild! 2. Jamie checking on his actually BFF, Sam, after Sam didn't get the call up. Such a mature boy, that one! 3. Jamie using Sam's number and getting to play in the game. I'm sure there are things that I missed since it's late and the episode was over 70 minutes long (my god, the finale will probably be longer than a Marvel movie), but we're moving at a fast clip towards the end and I'm excited to see where it goes!
  15. I think he was just "class checking" Jade. When I was going to London a lot (about 5-10 years ago, pre-Brexit), most of my servers in restaurants were Eastern European and a lot were Polish. I figure Rupert talks to a lot of these women as part of his charm offensive, so he's picked up info about the different regions in Poland as a way to figure out which women may be easily impressed or easily identified as "other" for reasons. He's showing off a "party trick" but letting Jade know that he knows she's an "other" (not British) and not of his class. She's, of course, giving it right back to him, which is excellent. But that's why it annoys me more that Nate's sitting there, smiling like his boss bestie and his girlfriend are hitting off when that is NOT what is happening at all.
  16. Did anyone ever hear what happened with this? They were promoting it so hard in December and January and then it just...disappeared? Now it's May and I still have seen nothing about this season that they clearly have in the can. It's weird.
  17. Okay, I know I just posted my long screed, but two things I forgot. I ADORE Will just popping up in the background of serious scenes and giving his two cents. Like if we had more time, I'd watch a whole episode of that. Ted during the parent-teacher conference is exactly why he and Michelle got divorced. Like, we all love his folksy charm and his long stories about Denver Bronco fans, but you're a Zoom call with a six-hour time difference for 20 minutes with your kid's teacher and you can't stop cracking Isaac Newton jokes? Michelle has to do all the asking about bringing up Henry's failing science grade and Ted's just doing a bit. C'mon man, for all of your manpain about your kid when he's around or not, step up and ask an intelligent question about your kid's schooling! Stop making your ex-wife be the adult in the room all the time! (It's like Sally Field and Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire - that's so exhausting!)
  18. I'm pretty sure I have never laughed as hard at this show as I did when Roy chastised the team for not sticking up for him not having a hairy ass and Isaac agreeing with him. Even if this season isn't as even as the previous two, each episode has something like that brief moment that will absolutely break me open and I love it! So Rupert met Jade and found her wanting. Luckily, Jade very clearly had his number from the jump (which I'm sure he ALSO didn't like). I was annoyed that Nate still seems to have that Bambi look about him with Rupert - like yes, he gave you this job and a car, but in the last nine episodes (which covers months and months), you REALLY haven't noticed how he treats people (never mind he MUST have seen it as the lowly kit man when Rupert owned Richmond). While I definitely thought Rupert was certainly just going to stand him up, him trying to hook Nate up with a "better" girlfriend was also par for the course. I'm glad Nate didn't go for it (though the long hug with Jade left me cold), but c'mon my dude. Like this is reminiscent of season 1 Nate, which would be a nice change from the guy who puts his players on a Dumb-Dumb Line and won't say hello in the morning - but WHY is he changing? I feel like I skipped an episode or something because we're getting the redemption without anything backing it up. I still sigh when I see the West Ham stadium. I know there's 3 episodes left and this is happening whether I care about it or not, but damn, I hate how they mishandled the whole thing. Oh, Isaac! Every time he gave Colin the cold shoulder or wouldn't even give him a fist bump, I kept saying to myself - do NOT like him be as homophobic as he's acting. Now, would that be realistic? Absolutely - but I don't want this show for accurate depictions of professional football. I want everyone to be friends and playing FIFA at the end. So Isaac majorly dropped the ball in the midst of his own shit and while Colin had every right to be mad or upset it, I'm happy they made up in their own way. COLIN! I kinda hate that they robbed us of the actual moment, but I did enjoy the aftermath. Ted's story was just a touch too long and ridiculous, but I'm happy that Colin got the love and support from his fellow himbos that we knew he would. It was also great to watch Trent watch the whole thing. (Also absolutely LOVE everything looking at Jamie as another potential gay footballer and his beautiful reaction [which was NOT a denial LOL!]. Thinking about Jamie from season 1 and loving his growth in that moment!) The Roy and Rebecca showdown was a bit on the nose (and damn, that was some insubordination there, Roy! You USED to date her best friend which may have given you some privileges, but you do NOT any more at YOUR choice.), but needed to happen. We've got three episodes left and I really hope as Roy mentors Isaac and his anger that Roy will starting DOING THE WORK that needs to be done (which will also hopefully lead to a Roy and Keeley reunion). Roy's press conference was gold and also a complete product of Ted's tutelage. That long storytelling at the press table was such a Ted move with some Roy spice and I'm here for it! Also love that he doesn't know anyone's name and he likes "New Trent" better than "Old Trent" with whom he shares an office. Happy to have Keeley back at Nelson Road, even if she doesn't seem to be doing their PR (as it seems she would be busy with the Isaac vs fan situation if she was). So Jack has fucked off to Argentina instead of breaking up with Keeley - bye, bitch! I'm just sad that Keeley would even want her back after that all thing last week. C'mon Keeley Jones, Independent Woman - get your groove back already! Probably not one I'll watch again, but I really like where we're going in these final three episodes - prove me right, show!
  19. Exactly! And he's really not even "I miss my friends at Richmond" so much as "I never got to talk about girls with the Diamond Dogs, so I'll round up a few randos from my new job and talk about it with them." Like the accountant guy seemed nice, but we have no indication that Nate has been nice or even cordial with ANYONE at West Ham. So it's wild that he's like, okay, now I'm the Ted character in this office and everyone has to listen to me. Ted usually speaks the least in any conversation that the Diamond Dogs have (that we've seen) and it's rarely his issue that collects them together (until recently). Like, I'd love to see how he actually saw things happening at Richmond (like a Bad Blood episode from "the X-files") because he so wildly misrepresented everything that happened based on what we saw that it's shocking he's participating in the same reality. I would have rooted for season 1 Nate to ask out the hostess at his favorite restaurant (while not spitting - blech!), but not after she hadn't ever been nice to him. I just...the show folx seemed to be surprised that everyone turned on Nate after they made him so cruel, sullen, and against Ted, but I'm still not sure how we're supposed to feel about him now. At this point, I don't want bad things to happen to him (though I'd love for Richmond to beat West Ham on the pitch), but I simply don't care about him having an extra story in the last season of this show. He "lifts right out" (to use a phrase from "Friends") and I don't need him if they aren't going to show him doing the work (like Jamie) or interacting with the Richmond folx (like Keeley). My fav episode so far has been "Sunflowers" in which he appeared only in Ted's hallucination and that worked fine for me.
  20. I was really, really hoping that after Keeley finished reeling from the video being leaked that she would put on her Keeley Jones, Independent Woman pants on and actually do PR for herself and the other women affected by the leak. There should be lawyers involved - for the hackers, not for Keeley. I really hoped we'd see Keeley circle the wagons, start working together with the other celebs' flacks to put out a GOOD statement about what happened. When Jack offered to make it go away, I thought that Jack was rich enough to actually call in favors to get stuff taken down. With enough weight and cash, you can move the world. I mean, KJPR is a public relations firm, so Keely wouldn't need anyone else to tell her what to say, how to spin, what to do next - that's literally her entire job right now. I just kept waiting for Keeley to step up - after she read the BS statement from Jack, after Jack canceled their appearance at the polo match (and never told Keeley!), after Jack distanced herself from Keeley at mini golf. Obviously, I don't know what it's like to have a sex video released about me, but I just kept hoping we'd see the old Keeley in there. Maybe now that Jamie has taken accountability for what happened, she can start to get her groove back!
  21. "The city of alright" - kinda felt like this episode. We're transitioning out of the dark forest, but it's gonna be a bit twisty yet. Lots of good stuff in here, but most of the storylines were concentrated on areas that aren't my fav, so I had a lot of TSOP. So Nate and Jade are a thing. Good for him? Felt bad/weird that he's now trying to recreate his time at Richmond (which he could still be having if he hadn't thrown a tantrum and left) at West Ham, but of course, it isn't working. LOL at him inviting Rupert to the Lovehounds and love that his assistant was like, yeah, no. Any Henry-heavy episode is not my fav, but at least the kid wasn't the one annoying me this time. I get it, Ted's not over his ex. But the fishing for how much Jake is over at the house, the whole Paris shit, just all of it is my least favorite color on Ted. I was really hoping we'd get some Doctor Sharon time because damn, this man needs therapy. Glad Rebecca was there to give him a kick in the arse (love her outfit in that phone call) and I'm really, REALLY hoping we're done with this storyline now. So Keeley and Jack are done. Didn't predict this would be why, but it does fit perfectly. I do wish we had gotten to know Jack even a little, but I guess in the end, I only care that Keeley's upset. Love her spin on the Pretty Woman dress and sad that Jack didn't properly appreciate it. And why do I feel like Jack was just trying to stick it to the establishment by showing up with a lady to Uncle Bernie's event? Ugh. But LOVE LOVE LOVE Jamie and Keeley's scene. What a grown up boy with a stupid, stupid password! Do we think Roy knew it was for Jamie or was just sad it wasn't for him? Still hoping for Roy and Keeley to reunite, but that convo isn't going to help his case. Great scene of the himbos deleting all the pics and videos from their phones - the best bit of comedy we got in this episode tbh. Colin seems like he almost wants to get caught in a hacking scandal the way he was talking and maybe that would be an "easier" way to come out than making a grand statement, for him. It all seems awful though. But now Isaac knows about Colin. Isaac and Colin seemed to be team besties, so I'll be curious to see how this plays out. Colin seems resigned to lose Isaac, but it did seem like Isaac was accepting in his silent way. Mae was also fantastic with her treatment of "Prince Henry" and the coaches after finding out that they went to the West Ham game. LOVE HER!
  22. Not me thinking that the video was about flossing their kid's teeth 😂 I never remember going to any extremes when my teeth were falling out. I definitely was the play with it with my tongue until it just falls into my mouth. My dad was always wanting to pull them, but I wouldn't let him!
  23. Love these fools always and forever. Nothing will top last week's episode (prove me wrong, show!), but I like where we're going! Weak parts first - Nate on a date. This would have been a cute storyline in season 1, but I 100% don't care that the hostess girl is somehow into him now. The diorama (that got crushed) reminded me of the Dobbler/Dahmer thing from HIMYM (a romantic gesture is only romantic if it's wanted) - while it was cute (I guess) that Nate's dad made Nate's mom a map to ask her out, the pop up shoebox thing just would absolutely creep me out. But since Jade seemed to miss Nate when he wasn't creepily looking in the window at her, perhaps she would have found it charming? Regardless, I still don't care about Nate as he hasn't shown any remorse or understanding of what he did, even though it's clear, we're meant to sweep it all under the rug for some cute romcom storyline. Glad Rebecca called out Jack's lovebombing, but it was a little silly that it seems resolved after one short discussion. Though Jack did mention something of being jealous, so perhaps there is more coming to do with this. Barbara is DEFINITELY jealous which is certainly...something. Toheeb mentioned something in a interview about Juno hugging him while he was sick during filming even though she had to rush off to film something else (basically talking about how sweet she is). But given how many episodes her storyline is completely divorced from the rest of the show, I wonder if it was just about scheduling or something. As much as I complained in the first episode about Richmond seeming to be her only client, I'm ready for her to be back at Richmond with our himbos, talking about brand deals or whatever. The office romance, extravagant gifts, and office weirdos just aren't doing it for me. I love Sam so much, but it was very clear that he lives in another world. His first tweet was lovely and it was shit (but not unexpected) that the thin-skinned Home Secretary would fight back. Wish he would have mentioned it to the Club or had them put out an AFC Richmond statement, but vandalism at his restaurant was inevitable. And "shut up and dribble" was the tamest insult to receive, given the treatment of black football players in England (thinking about the World Cup) and general racism. But I'm happy we got to meet Mr. Obisanya (and Mr. Obisanya got to meet Rebecca - and make it weird LOL!). And of course, the boys cleaning up the restaurant (including Bumbercatch, who just happens to know how to fix neon!) was *chef's kiss* Love to be back at training, even if it was just a bunch of sight gags and literal dick jokes. Roy's absolutely evil laugh will haunt me forever. I was totally expecting the fans they invited to watch training to be videoing everything and posting on social for the public to ridicule once again. It was interesting that no one even mentioned Twitter in that context as they ran around with strings on their dicks. I would LOVE to know the logistics of making it look like they were all connected without injuring the actors. Jamie as the breakout football BRAIN of the group was completely unexpected, but I'm SO HERE for it! Everyone giving him the prick sign was just beautiful (including Trent!). Trent being such a fanboy dork at the end was EVERYTHING! Also, Will as Beard made me laugh out loud every time! I'm not exactly sure the purpose of the beautiful montage of shop openings each morning, but it did make me want to hop a plane to London, so I guess it worked?
