  1. Again, Liris didn't sell anything but herself. Nothing about the designer or clothes but just about plus size models. A sympathy ploy but she didn't have much to talk about with what she had on.
  2. Kenya calls it a scarf. "Her scarf was like her security blanket: “People on social media wondered if my scarf was hygienic. I washed it every other day. I’ve had it for seven y ears. As careless as I am, I cannot lose it. It seems to find me. I get cold really easily. It’s an easy thing to have. It gives me comfort. I know that’s weird.” I thought it was something she was using to cover her breasts. http://radiotvtalk.blog.ajc.com/2017/11/11/atlantas-kenya-freeman-heartened-by-fans-irate-over-her-project-runway-ouster/
  3. If you saw Dina on Finale Part 1, she seems very articulate about fashion, her likes and dislikes about Brandon. She even said she didn't care for the fabric he chose, which is somewhat surprising. I also think Tim put a lot of weight into her opinion because he said he was worried that it would be a skin show and then Brandon said she doesn't like skin showing, perhaps like Ayana. A good line was when Tim asked if Brandon was pushing the boundaries of taste to which she responded he's pushing the boundaries of silhouette. I think she'd be a very nice contestant on PR.
  4. Two new interviews with Brandon. Interesting that he met Ayana at Utah fashion week and then he shows up at PR and there she is as well. http://www.sltrib.com/artsliving/tv/2017/11/09/will-a-former-murray-high-hockey-player-win-project-runway-hes-the-favorite/ http://www.lifeandstylemag.com/posts/project-runway-brandon-kee-celebrities-146464
  5. Reading through the posts of this season, this has been the most provocative, divisive and interesting season in years. Ratings wise, Part 1 of the Finale had a .4, which broke the .5 PR achieved for the three prior weeks. Looking at the demos, PR also skews older as it has a larger than average number of viewers who are 50 or older.
  6. Kentaro unfortunately has a very similar vibe to a contestant on Bravo's old show "Top Design". He was also an Asian, Wisit, and he said he was a fashion designer and singer. After he was dismissed from the competition, he sang a song. There's a clip on Bravo but I didn't include it. Seek it out at our own risk. I agree that Kentaro has a problem with the concept of "cohesiveness". When Tim tells you that your collection looks like three different collections, that's your clue to make some changes but he did nothing to unify everything except that grotesque styling.
  7. And might we see Brandon's girlfriend on an upcoming season or PR? I thought she was quite articulate and very perceptive about his work.
  8. Uh, oh. Margarita is tied in with the hurricane. Sympathy vote?
  9. Interesting finish. It informed what happened last week. Good job by the producers.
  10. This was no drama, all work and you can see why it doesn't work. The second Kentaro showed he wasn't going to listen to Tim was when you knew he was in serious trouble. Those looks were hilariously bad.
  11. PR fans have been touting Meisha for a while and she's even started showing up a bit in mainstream media. The difference in approach is Liris shows herself off, Meisha shows off the clothess. Liris is about Liris and Meisha is about the designer. It's obvious why people gravitated towards her because she does have a magnetic TV personality.
  12. "What's-her-name" is Meisha and she's won 6 out of 10 challenges, something PR fans have noted. And she won with five different designers, so there's that as well.
  13. I agree Brandon's black dress with white jacket was remarkable. As for Kentaro, I'd put his winter ensemble last week right up there as well. Kentaro's biggest missteps came, interestingly, with the plus size models. As such, he will never win this season PR. But I would agree with Zac's assertion that he's been really hit and miss but when he's on, he's great. I'm still not sold on the idea that Margarita won't sneak in for the win or Kenya might not gain a place in the finals.
  14. Meisha won six challenges and has a mutual love relationship with Kentaro so something happened there. Similarly, Christina has won once with Brandon and probably would have won in the last episode as well. He worked with Liris in the first challenge but did not win with her. And she clearly would been the Kenya selection. I think Kentaro/Meisha, Kenya/Liris, Brandon/Christina pairings were designer/muse and I would have liked to see them continue in the finale. Ayana got Meisha, Brandon got Liris and Kenya got Christina which makes me uncomfortable for Kentaro. Interesting fact: Of the remaining five models, only Meisha and Christina have been the winning models of challenges.
  15. The no fur rule was in place since 2011, Season 9. As we learned with the Claire situation, rules are set out with the contestants and if Margarita didn't know, that was her problem. She did not deserve any special consideration, although I felt it was fair to give her more time to shop. On the other hand, she deserved no extra time to sketch since it was her oversight.
  16. Tim feels very strongly about the cause as evidenced by this video. If Margarita used Kenya's leopard scarf as inspiration, she could have replicated Fred Flintstone.
  17. After watching the rerun, I was even more impressed with Kentaro's work. When Meisha took the coat off, the top and pants were so chic and completely adorable together and when it was on, it was a superb editorial look. Ironic that Nina correctly noted that his design last week was a black blob that was uninteresting from ever angle, this week, he made something was interesting from every angle. I believe him when he said his inspiration was Meisha and he wanted to make something she'd like because he grew so close to her. If she were his model for the entire season, we might have seen more consistency from him because she was clearly his muse. However, I still have to give the victory to Brandon for a completely spectacular look. Nina had to search for something negative to say so she picked on the purse he made, but when Tim says your option is the JC Penney accessory wall, if you have the time, hey, make a matching purse. And since this was a two day challenge, both Kentaro and Brandon stepped up their work. For Margarita to send something that unfinished down the runway was not acceptable, but again, burnout has started taking its toll. Even though Brandon is accused of sending the same thing down the runway each challenge, she appeared to not even have their vision to do that. You could easily identify the other designers' work but not Margarita.
  18. Here is Josh Christensen and I still have no clue who he is.
  19. Fur free PR has been in effect since 2011. Tim made it clear to Josh Christensen in S9. Don't worry if you don't remember him because I had to look it up and still don't remember him. Very ironic for Margarita to be the culprit.
  20. Kentaro cannot design for plus size models, something he as much admitted when he said he likes Meisha because her build is like his. He has to get over that if he wants to have a successful career because many of his things are wonderful and can translate well, such as the top he made for the JC Penney challenge, which he correctly said was "for everyone". If you compare the street look to last night's winter look, they are clearly from the same collection, which I think is great. Again, Meisha rocked it. BTW, I don't think anyone else has mentioned it but I really liked the snow effect on the runway. Actually, the entire set sort of made me smile
  21. Although the look would have been bad on anyone, Margarita's dress made Liris look gigantic. It was tragic, a Halloween Sasquatch design a few days too late. She said that because Liris was plus sized, it needed to be fitted correctly but it was so unflattering because of the fullness.
  22. I thought Kentaro and Brandon were amazing. Very disappointed in the others. They look like they're setting up a Margarita win.
  23. Brandon is currently designing stage wear for Image Dragons.
