  1. Book 5 is slow in the beginning but gets better. Book 6 is better but too much WTFery at times, but I liked it. Book 7 has a lot that happens and Book 8 is wonderful.
  2. I can listen to the two of them anytime, but that interviewer...Oof.
  3. If you are having problems getting into Black Sails, I totally understand. I absolutely LOVED some episodes and some episodes seemed interminably long. Personally, I couldn't get into Elenore's story at all. I really don't care all that much about Max either.
  4. I don't have any TV shows that I watch regularly. I wish I did but I just can't get into a lot of the more popular shows. I will watch Black Sails. As far as books, I think I'm going to start The Lymond Chronicles.
  5. I just finished my re-read of this. There is so much that happens in this book that it is hard to keep track.
  6. Out of the 4, I like Bella Dayne the best so far. :-)
  7. They need to keep looking for Brianna. I wasn't feeling it in either of the two videos.
  8. I'm ok with all the deaths really, especially because of the historical settings. But for Rupert, it's just because I really liked the character and his interactions with Claire. Even the scene with his death, he's still making ribald comments to Claire.
  9. I love Grant O'rourke and his potrayal of Rupert. That scene in DiA is one I think of that will break my heart to watch. I love that they expanded Angus and Rupert in the show.
  10. No! I did not see that. How funny!
  11. I watched the first season of Black Sails. For the most part I enjoyed it. I did not care about Elenore or her plot line at all. The character that intrigued me the most is Anne Bonney.
  12. I keep Starz all year thru, but I have to. I like some of the other shows on Starz.
  13. The Fiery Cross is the one I don't reread a bunch out of. I just re-read it in its entirety again and I realized why I don't reread it as much as the others. It is too much of everyday life and very few scenes just stand out and grab me. Although, Ian's return gets me every time. There's much to love in the little things about this book, but there is so much that it's easy to get bogged down in the miniutae. I loved Jamie's worry over his swimmers. ETA: Oh and I never caught this on the original read, but I loved how Jamie thought germs would have wee teeth. The mental imagery I had made me laugh out loud. AND how Jamie thought his sperm looked "Verra Fierce" once he got over the shock of Claire using his. AND wanting them to have a decent burial and Claire responding, "I'll take good care of them, I always do, don't I?"
  14. I was seriously questioning my reading comprehension. Hahaha!
  15. I'm not at all being facetious when asking this, but What? When was this?
  16. Well, I when I read your comment, I said, "WHAT?!?!?! It was there???" So I went back and re-read and sure enough, Claire is thinking to herself, "I was going to ask whether the deep lines across the base of my wrist meant anything (a potential for suicide?), but we were interrupted..." How on earth have I missed that little nugget in all the times I've read this book? It's vague enough that it could just be lines or Culloden IS all Claire's fault! ;)
  17. Your last sentence made me snork my water.
  18. Well considering actual events occurring, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Claire and Jamie did not condemn the Scots. Unless, Diana is revising history. However, all kidding aside, I've often wondered about things like that. How something seemingly small might affect it.

    Book 3: Voyager

I never realized that, but as soon as I read your comment, I thought "Yeah, I feel the same way!" This really isn't a spoiler but I'll tag it anyways, but I just read Book 8 (again) and
  20. My son checked "The Hobbit" out from the library today. He was reading it and wanted me to look up characters from the movie as he was reading so he could picture them. He asked me to look up Dwalin, so I did. His first words were, "Oh heeey, Mommy, that's the guy that is Dougal." I shed a tear. Lol
  21. I'm watching this AGAIN and I'm telling you the facial expressions from these actors are flipping fantastic. Rupert and Angus say more with their faces and hands than words. I laugh out loud every time I watch them arranging for the ring. Willie and Dougal with the priest. Yes, I'm a fan of the nekkid times but there's so much more in this episode.
  22. I'm a Middlelander as well. Lol I like second breakfast as much as the next Hobbit, but i draw the line at hairy feet.
  23. Sure it would've been healthier, but divorce just really wasn't that common in the late 40's/early 50's. It was a big deal. Plus, Frank was all about lineage and although he knew Brianna wasn't his biologically, the historian in him wanted something of him passed on.
