The LPN program I graduated from had very stringent entrance requirements and also required more clinical hours than the RN program. I work in a hospital and do the same hands on care as the RN, I just don't do charge on the floor like I did in a nursing home, I do blood transfusions but an RN has to sign off on it and I don't give chemo but I start iv's, push iv drugs and give iv antibiotics. I'm in Georgia and I know all states aren't the same.
