I wonder why they went this route. I was reading something about Peter Pan last night and it said So if that's the case I don't understand why they used real kids for John and Michael.

I'm just glad the episode didn't go where I thought it was going - Sheldon going from feeling like he was being pressured into sex into deciding he actually wants sex. I was actually happy with how they handled it. I mean, I'm still expecting for it to (unfortunately) come up in the future, because heaven forbid someone not want sex in TV land without being "fixed" in the end... but for now I'm glad. Still don't like Amy and Sheldon as a couple though. The rest of the episode was pretty cute. Penny looked gorgeous.

I'm not so sure if Derrick would do an all star show. Would he really want to be separated from his young daughter for another 3 months? Especially if he wins this time around? I don't think he would go for it.

I agree with this so much. It's not their job to be representatives of their sexuality, no more so than it's a straight individual's job to represent all straight people. I have a big issue with this line of thinking too.

I keep thinking of Beast Wars. It was an animal based Transformers series and whenever they transformed into their animal forms, they'd say "beast mode, activate!"

Haha, I could actually see it making it as an anime series though. I wish Me TV didn't switch their schedule so much. I was really enjoying Jeanie and then they switched it to Gilligan. And then they switched Gilligan for Happy Days.

Shamy is ruining the show for me. As someone who is asexual, the way Amy pressures Sheldon and the way we're supposed to sympathize with her is very off-putting to me. I realize the creators of the show haven't actually committed to making Sheldon asexual (unfortunately) but considering that he fits the bill in pretty much everything but title only, the way his relationship with Amy is portrayed is enough to make me extremely uncomfortable.

I would prefer Sheldon to be alone (I don't think he's suited for relatinships), but if he had to be in a relationship, I would definitely prefer him with Penny. Because I think they do have chemistry, but I also think that Penny knows how to deal with him and wouldn't put up with his crap. The Shamy dynamics are gross to me - she is so desperate to be with Sheldon that for the most part she just caves to his whims. She doesn't seem genuinely happy with him, but she clings on because she loves him and doesn't want to let go. Penny and Sheldon imo would be a more balanced relationship, though it probably wouldn't work out either. That being said, I think I would find Sheldon kissing or playing a sexual version of D&D with anyone awkward.

I hope that if they're going to keep showing Shamy kisses I get used to it soon. As it currently stands my response is to groan "uggh" and look away from the screen. Much like how I feel about their entire relationship, actually.

Another thing that bothered me about the finale is Barney's "redemption." Now that he has a daughter he can view women who aren't his friends as human beings, yay! And how does he demonstrate that? By patronizingly telling two women to go home and "put on some clothes." Are you serious? Ugh, gross.

I think what annoys me most about the ending is that they HAD the perfect ending right there. If they had just ended with Ted and Tracy comparing notes under the umbrella that would have been an adorable way to end the series. But then they screwed it up.
