  1. I actually liked this episode also. I like it when Regina and Emma work together...as long as Regina is not crying...though the team up is missing its bickering element which I loved. No matter what Emma and Regina are going to see things differently and they are both the alpha females..(actually just alphas in dimbulb Storybrooke) and they should be bickering as they get sh*t done. I like this EQ..sneaky manipulative and not going around and just slaughtering people, though still bad. Though I am confused, when do the writers think the EQ stopped and Regina started being Regina again? I think when the show started that Regina was Regina..(still bad..) after 18 years of living as Mayor Mills, (maybe there are three..EQ, Mayor Mills and Regina) and I didn't think Mayor Mills would have wanted Henry evil. After the curse broke we saw her even see that she was acting like her mother and letting Henry go to Charming. The EQ still loves Henry, etc, but she wants him to kill someone? But she hesitates on killing Zelena? Its almost like this EQ is an entirely new character with some of the same motivations. Oh, and a good little scene with the EQ on the stairs transforming into Regina, and we all see it as a shadow. An easter egg to the silent Nosferatu? I wish the whole show was as creative as their easter eggs.
  2. While I hate Henry..I thought the reason he liked old movies was that he grew up in a town where time had stopped in the 80s..right? But then, they still got outside TV so..oh well. Zelena and the heart spell, how did she enchant that when she was in New York..right? The Mirror World was interesting..and yes, perfect time for Emma and Regina to hash things out, especially if all those mirrors reflected things that happened in the past..imagine Emma seeing the mirror that had Regina killing the Underwear Model Sheriff...(though does her crypt have a mirror?) And yes, I expected more comedy with the mirrors, like Emma..."Regina, what are you doing staring at that mirror we have to figure this out.." Regina..."Did you know that Little Miss Moffet was having an affair with Peter the Pumpkin Eater? It involves a lot of whip cream..."
  3. I hate that they reduced the Wicked Witch of the West, one of the biggest bads of them all, into a needy high school girl. Though I hate that they turned the slinky Evil Queen of the movie into a over the top cartoon and then a whiny mope hoping to be a hero and crying at the drop of a hat. Actually I hate that they turned sneaky bitch on wheels cool customer Mayor Mills into a whiner. Come to the think of it, the only female villain who was allowed to have power and not be a sad sack is Ingrid, who was all bad up to, "Ooops my bad!" and took care of business the way a powerful regretful villainous should.
  4. Very true, plus....plus, it would have been a camptastic scene of having Lana fight Lana...hand to hand..(THAT is where their CGI budget should to to) .also they paid the Blue actress..why doesnt she put in her fire power to help subdue the Queen? They get her powerless and just then, Rump or Zelena step in and foil them..THEN the dimbulb Charmings can make their sacrifice.
  5. Okay, I am liking this EQ...I would have preferred she took both of them out, but thank you, thank you, thank you...we now will only have one of those dullards on screen talking at a time..(at least for a while!) Other great things...Henry didn't open his maw and talk once, and we now have one or my new favorite scene...everyone grossing out on Rump and Regina....Regina.."We have always had..chemistry." (everyone makes a STANK face) "What's the matter did someone fart or something?" People, its stuff like this that keeps me coming back despite everything else! But before they are taken out of my misery....the Charmings EARNED their fate by once again, doing the dumbest thing possible. Emma and Regina had it covered you idiots..you know, the two super powerful magic users..against one pure embodiment of evil..the odds were in their favor. I just can't believe that no one else besides evil people call them out on their stupidity. Also, why did anyone take the EQ's threat seriously? If Regina died..she dies. Also, Henry would have gotten it to (well there is always a silver lining...) Good episode which focused on one thing....so writers..keep it simple stupid!
  6. Actually this time I think they are actually being realistic with human nature and kinda, in Once twisted logic, makes it understandable that she would split. The reason that Regina is considered...and I hate this word so much "heroic," (as opposed to Snow and Charming who are considered heroic and they are just blandly good and nice..) is that she does have these feelings still and she is actually managing to keep them under control not just because of Henry or trying to win over Storybrooke but because as she said in the finale, she knows they are wrong..but she still has them. Hence the splitting with her evil side. I think anyone can relate to feeling negative towards someone but knowing that it is wrong to do so.
  7. BWHAHAHA...quite the non answer Dragon..THIS is why nobody is watching anymore...it makes no sense at all, everything they put out there they later refute.
  8. Did they explain in the finale. I just remember Rump saying "yes and no" to magic in our world and then Henry's Gosh Darn Gotta Believe in Magic Speech got it all going. But as someone up thread mentioned ...nothing counts on this show, its like a particularly campy fever dream.
  9. Please let the EQ's real plan be that she wants to recast the Curse, this time with the savior part of it and the show is reset again..(She would make Emma the town biker lesbian, Hook the owner of a Gay Leather Bar and Regina her "Ugly Book Worm"Sister, the Jan to the EQ's Marcia..) Yawn, I know, Curse 801 but the plus of this is...she's going to have to kill Henry! YEA CURSE!
  10. What was with all those tropical fish...in Storybrooke????I could have bought it if a mermaid swam by..but..I know what they were going for but their easter eggs are getting so shoe horned in that they take you out of it all. I was SO wanting Belle to walk in on the disgusting make out session, that would have made that ridiculous scene..even more ridiculous and fun. Having Rump act like a nervous husband caught with the office hoochie would have been hilarious..."Belle, Belle..its not what it looks like!" EQ..."Oh it is, by the way, Rump, I want my gum back!" UGGGH...I love how they make their "super scary villains."..into idiots. What is with these writers in insisting on Rump as being sex god..at least to Mills family..(and I thought Zelena's make out session with him was gross, now this.) Was Regina watching too many soaps for 28 years so now she is imitating a bad soap vixen? What is next up her sleave...she is going to put a pillow under her gown a fake a pregnancy? And gasp..she wants Snow's heart... The HUMANITY!!! I don't even know what to make of this Aladdin stupidity and the "shear's" or doom. We lost Hyde for this crap? When is that queeny villain from the Aladdin world going to show up. Is there one coherent plot on this show?
  11. Like Rumple said to Regina in S1.."You brought us through time and space to be here.."then we find out in S2 that, no, the EF events that we have heard stories of, over at least 100 years, actually occurred in the 70s and 80s!!!Yes, even though it makes absolutely no sense. But here they had to of course inert Hook into Nemo's story..even though it was not needed, etc.
  12. I do too, but I fear that they will screw that up to, by making her mistake something Regina does and be jealous and cackle and go full on evil, or become a whiny "hero" This is why I wish Cruella could be alive and in town as a supporting character..to be friendly with Zelena in their annoyance with the Charmings and Regina and not give too hoots what the hell they think. Maleficent could do that but they have watered her down so much...what a waste of the best Disney villain ever!
  13. Not to mention the big moments, those moments where we should see a lightbulb go off in Regina's head and see Regina make steps to becoming a better person, (and give Parrilla a chance to really shine) those moments are glossed over so swiftly its almost like the writers resent them. When Whale brought Daniel back and Regina had to kill him to get him out of his pain should have been BIG...and a moment when Regina started to really change (not just for Henry) and David of all people to see the kind of person Regina could be...and start a bonding process where it would cause friction when Snow go back.(I would have had Daniel say something to her like..."Why are you like this? You brought all these people to this loud ugly world to hurt them? You have become like your mother!") but they show her crying and then next week its on to something else..(and no mention to Snow what happened..) Both Rump and Regina did not want Cora in SB, yet when they see her they are like "Hey wad's up?" Regina finds out Cora has manipulated things so that Daniel would die and that Regina would marry Snow's dad...Regina has a five second realization of this and then its..."Oh and Regina I need the dagger to be the dark one so...") and Regina still helps her...(we should have seen her very angry and conflicted and had her acting like she was working with Cora and then helping ( I would have had Regina being the one to manipulate Snow into killing Cora, since Regina couldnt do it herself and in her sicko mind would make them even steven on the killing of parents...I would always leave Regina a quirky edgy figure...not villain and not hero.) Magic is the writers excuse not to devolpe these characters and really relish the big moments the characters and the actors could do justice to. Its always off to the next "world" or guest or dumb magic threat and solution.
  14. God no...Emma should be in the "real" world being a bad ass, not flouncing around CGI land in a fairy gown. (can you tell I hate princess stuff) If they ever go back to the EF I want someone with a brain to overthrow the Charmings as those two dimbulbs lost every chance they had to get rid of Regina..how can those two run a kingdom?
  15. I think a very big mistake that they made was to give Emma magic. She should be the normal person in a land full of these people, she should be a fill in for the audience reacting to things as we might. They could have simply said that she was immune to magic, just like Hyde is...so that would tie the hands of Regina, Rumple and the rest of the villains who would have to use their brains to try to beat her. I also think that the first season really said magic was bad..there was price to pay and it bit you in the ass over the long term (this would be a good reason for the lack of Blue's interventions in fighting villains...she knows that even white magic can backfire if not used judiciously.) But now its all like "Magic is great.." and easy...(no one is ever spent after teleporting etc.) and even Henry as the author has a bit of it. But then, magic in our world, even Storybrooke should be screwy and not work right..for everyone.
  16. Yes, but isn't the Dark Curse..curse number 1? The other two curses (which should have been something else entirely....the pilot and S1 intimated that you need not only the heart of the one you love the most but do it out of anger and high emotions...not just because you want a trip through a realm..) The other two curses were really Curse Lite...(did they ever explain how magic came with both those curses but not the Big Dark Curse??? No of course not...)
  17. That is what I thought...though maybe she meant to push them past the townline but that was as far as the magic would go..(it seemed to be the same road but no "Welcome to.." sign. ) Plus, how do these people think their lives are stories? The fairytale characters are freaked out when they learn they are famous in our world. It should have had another name entirely and it was just a land where people went to escape their lives..(also, is time frozen there like during the curse? )How do peoples stories end if they go on living..their stories just take a different turn? The author and book thing was stupid and convoluted so they really shouldn't pursue that further. I think Snow mistook David for someone who had emotions. Most people would be kind of angry if something like that would happen to them but David needs to come out of the coma he has been in since the show started. I do like the thought of a murder mystery consuming SB...maybe a realm hopping killer was loose and is now hiding there. Oh no...is Sherlock Holmes in public domain???
  18. Yes...I find Hyde to be a "strangely erotic attraction," to me (as he would say..though creepier with a leer and you would still hit it...) The only thing stopping it all, and I think this is a great make up choice, is that red eye....Hey EQ that looks like pink eye to me! Also, I think any date with him would involve fine dining, great wine, intelligent but increasingly odd conversation ("No I am sorry, I am not up on the mating rituals of tarantulas..") ..but you would end up tied up in chains and a silk scarf blind fold while Chopin plays in the background, which wouldnt be my thing but I think the EQ would totally dig it. Like with Cruella I wish they would keep Hyde and the EQ as permanent residents..they could be the Gomez and Morticia of SB.."No Sheriff Swan, I had no idea in this odd world of yours that when a child appears on your porch loudly insisting that they get a Trick or a Treat...that the trick didn't involve electro shock therapy!!"
  19. Wow a good episode and it did seem S1ish. I think the main thing is that while it was Cinderella's story it added to the movement of the plot (so now we kinda sorta know what the EQ wants, Emma to fail so that all the Happy Endings vanish..and they are essentially back to Cursed Storybrooke) and EVERYBODY had something to do instead of one character getting all the action while everyone else was a walk on. I don't know who wrote it but Snow and Charming didn't annoy me, Emma and Hook didn't annoy with their overly cutesy selves or more angst, Rumple and Regina and the EQ were sprinkled throughout without going overboard, and we got a flicker that SB is a "real" town with people living their lives there absurd as they are. The only weak point is Henry but he was used lightly (come on, his function as a plot device is over...send him to the Inter Realm School or something) and Zelena, who I like when being snarky, reverted to her "Oh everyone is mean to me," act..(hey witch, you helped Auntie Em go to purgatory so I can' t really feel sorry that your bossy bitchy sister is being just that to you...) Though this show being this show you have to overlook things, like why didn't Rumple just zap the tape onto the ship, why doesn't Zelena zap an upgrade on that dump she is living in and why did Emma' s magic work all of a sudden and then not. and why didn't Regina free Hyde earlier? I also would like a throw off like about Nurse Ratched and the janitor (Snow, "Why are they still here?" Regina, "I don't know, they really LIKE it down here,,,its weird even for me!") My favorite scene was the end one...EQ and Hyde waltzing out of the jail/crazy house in full Victorian OT finery, cocky crazy looks on their faces as the janitor looks on. It all makes crazy sense for this crazy a** show.
  20. She seems to also be the only one having any fun..the only Rumple I like is SolidGoldRumple as at least he has a sense of humor and enjoys playing with people. Snow and Charms have always been boring blocks of seriousness, Emma and Hook use to have a bit of spark, back when Hook was "bad," and Emma was giving it back to him..now they are in LURVE..and lost all their fun as the next angst comes there way, Henry opens his mouth and big yawning hole of dull, sanctimonious stupidity opens up, Zelena is fun when she gets a zinger or funny line "I was all for running..." but now she is sad and moping around with that baby...Belle....is Belle. I like Regina but I am tired of her sliding back and forth and whining...just let her be a gray character that the others don't totally trust and she doesnt give a damn and just likes to look great and toss of bitchy one liners. I just hope she continues to mess with people's heads as she struts down main street with a martini in hand like Karen Walker in full drag get up. If only she could diss Henry ("Fairy tales and HEROES how the hell old are you anyway?" )I would be hers completely!
  21. Agreed..and if they were clever...(hahahaha) they would do two things..first of all, explain that the EQ is not flesh and blood...she is more of a projection of Regina or a Freddy Krueger type character that can only hurt you if you give them the power. Her magic should be limited..and they had a good start when they had her mention that she used up all the Dragon's magic things to get to SB (but I suppose that was because she was in the LWOM) and then having to go raid Regina's crypt to get enough magic to put up the barrier. So she needs to play mind games and this time wait and plot you know, like a good villain and not a cartoon like she usually is. This would also explain how Hyde is not effected by magic...he's not real, just a projection of the other's evil desires and wishes. Because, really why not pull David's heart out right there and if not kill him, make him kill Snow??? Second...EQ only has a limited life span and she NEEDS to reignite the Evil in Regina to actually live. Again, this gives her a reason to turn Regina evil, not just cause she is a villain and you know, they do bad things. Actually, at this point I would have magic dying in SB..little by little. Magic doens't belong here as they have said and Rump's original spell to bring it back is no match for our world which quaranteed the magic before, and is actually destroying it like as if it was a cancer cell. This would be a good lead into the end of the show.
  22. I want a scene where the EQ appears to Henry and tells him...."You do know your mother named you after the father she killed? Ripped his heart out right there,..and he was trying to help her.....You do know that she was trying to gaslight you after you found the book, and oh...this might be something to share with your other mother....Regina killed Graham...did you know that? And the reason?? Because he kissed Emma! So, they were like high school girls fighting over the cute guy, and that makes Regina the meanest mean girl of them all!...And here's the thing, since we are the same person, I know she is not that regretful about any of those things. So you Mr. Man, better just stay on her good side. Oh, and Regina has a sling in her bedroom which she liked to use to flog both Graham and Boring Hood...oh look the school bus is here gotta fly! Love you to pieces!!!!BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" I like the idea of a sneaky EQ sitting back and watching the Sh*t Show happen, but why even bother to exchange the revenge list with the Count if she can just pull his heart out and control him? And why not a trained assasin???
  23. I thought they did a good job with her in 2A so yes.. and then they screwed it up..(surprise right???) But in 2A she wasnt actively trying to kill anyone, but she wasn't the Charmings best friend at all, and her bad deeds were done for what she thought was "right" making sure no one took her son away...villains doing what they feel is right, in all the wrong ways are more interesting then just evil for evil's sake. I kind of liked Charming and her uneasy alliance for Henry. That kind of stuff was interesting but they blew it when Cora returned and Regina started like she had no brains and was just going kill everyone in SB with that dumb diamond thing and take Henry back to their hell hole world and...it just didn't work.
  24. Agreed she is, and that is what Regina should have been all along...kinda bad, kinda good, helping the heroes when it suits her interests and when the inevitably screw everything up and she HAS to..("If they die that kid of mine will never stop whining...plus its nice to have someone to watch him when I am too busy or tired to deal with him") and actually having to decide on the path. Instead of this flip flopping EQ and the BIGGEST... HERO..EVER! They could have done it with the return of Marion when she tries to do the right thing but is tempted to do bad things..("Sydney, what if instead of killing her I a drunk spell and she wakes up in one of those disgusting Drawfs' beds...lets do Grumpy, he drinks and he smells to high heaven... and your there to take the pictures!") Instead she is automatically looking for ways to kill her and then all of a sudden isnt. They just don't do gray well, which is more interesting then HERO or VILLAIN. And you bring up a good question....is the EQ flesh and blood as Regina is? What does she eat, where does she sleep, how does the go to the bathroom with that get up?
  25. Yes,...it would be interesting to see Regina FINALLY deal with the remorse of killing all those people...(and I LIKE Regina but that is a ridiculous thing to forget and Parrilla would act the hell out of it,) I also wish she had no magic..which would make sense, she wasn't really using magic until she became the EQ...plus it would be nice for Regina to remember she has a brain and can fight with that. Are we sure that was Regina having the issue with Zelena in the house, and not the EQ setting it all up? The scene of her approaching the house was shot ominously (as a matter of fact they used that shot in the promos when talking about the EQ..) as she aggressively walked up to the house and how would the EQ know that Regina and Zelena had a fight...(unless she put Sydney back in the mirror and is spying on people that way....) Zelena went from being a big bad to acting like a pouty annoying high school girl. Your hot your powerful, you can pull off hats and you can roll your eyes with the best of them, move on! The scene did make me laugh, my nephew is living with us for a while and I give him that look every time I walk into his bedroom. The rest of the episode was entertaining...though they always bite off more then they can chew...and I really could care less about the Aladin stuff. How are is Jekel and Hyde an untold story as is the Three Muskateers, etc? I like Hyde and wish he and EQ would have a kind of S/M thing going..(though the way the guy is playing it I am not so sure if it would be a woman he would be into...how interesting, Storybrooke gets its first omnisexual Big Bad...) its interesting to see a villain without magic that is happily unaffected anyone else's ..though really...what is so great about Storybrooke that everyone wants it?If they found out that Storybrooke is now somehowthe nexus of all the rest of GGI-villes then that might explain it but.. As usual Snow and Charming are useless and boring and have to be squeezed into scenes to give them something to do. I would have liked for Granny to have that scene with Regina..("Everytime you start whining I want to get my crossbow out!!!!") As usual Rumple and Belle are boring but I like that his son already knows he is an asshole. One question. Is there magic now in the real world and if so why doesnt Rump leave like he wanted to do in the season ender?
