Perfect description of Nick - his father's son after all. Why anyone would want this man is beyond me. Yet, he is written, along with Dylan, as the star of the show..........what a joke. .

I have only been watching since June, so I never knew the character of A.J., but I do love Sean Kenan. I feel obligated to like A.J. simply because Sonny and Carly hated him, and I have never seen either of them do anything that wasn't disgusting.. No matter what he did when he was alive he couldn't have been one tenth as bad as those two characters. I do wish there was a way for him to come back, not only for Michael, but for some of us who love Sean Kenan.

Not sure why this struck me so funny - I'm still snickering. All three crazy men in the living room, arguing about talking to Phyllis, while she's supposed to be sleeping with all that noise. From what I've seen so far, this Phyllis never sleeps - guess she's all caught up after that year in the coma.

I edited my previous comment to make it clear that the popular character being destroyed was on Y&R, not on GH. Sorry I didn't make that clear. I don't consider Sonny a popular character, based on what I read on the board. I would never compare the tiny orange man to Victor Newman, who is a force to be reckoned with, but I hate them equally. I have had 30 years to nurture my hatred for Victor and his smug, pompous attitude, but it has taken me less than six months to find Sonny even more repulsive. At least Victor is somewhat attractive old man, but I am sure you are correct.....they will both be there for the final curtain.

I'll take this, if he can't die or go to prison. Problem is, we would still have to look at him occasionally - good thing the show is after lunch.

I understand what you are saying and it's just the nature of the show we are watching. I remember when GH was about a hospital and the people were sane and intelligent, and I miss that, too. This is very interesting for those of us who are also watching Y&R, along with GH. On Y&R, at this very moment, a popular character is being destroyed, lives are being turned upside down, and a man's supposed daughter is being taken away. In spite of the fact that nutty JFP is in charge, this story is being played out as more explosive, and no guns or violence are present. It is being done with emotions and words, and it is more riveting than the mob shit, no matter whose side you are on. In my dream world, I would like Michael to shoot Sonny's penis off, but in reality, Michael would go to prison again. I think most people who watch regularly just hate Sonny so much, myself included, that there is nothing bad enough to punish him, and we are enjoying his downfall. I am a bit ashamed of my total enjoyment, but that little orange man and everyone connected to him compose a smelly pile of manure, in my opinion.

ABSOLUTELY.......and equally disgusted by anyone else that has any connection to Sonny, except Michael. Unfortunately that includes Morgan right now, even though I really like the character. I am disgusted by the violence displayed on this show daily, and my Sonny hate is completely off the charts. My disgust spreads equally to Carly, Shawn, Duke, Max, etc. etc.

I sure hope you're right - He has been a part of Y&R for so long and they just keep losing good people. I like watching Michael and Kevin together - very believable to me as brothers.

I'm afraid we all know this isn't going to happen, but in a perfect world, this is my dream. I would prefer that Michael not go to prison, however, so it would be better if Shawn killed Sonny while trying to shoot Michael. That would really be killing two birds with one stone.

Michelle Stafford and Sean Kanan had terrific chemistry on Y&R - That's where those nasty comments about dumpster sex come from. lol

THIS - Oh yes, This!!! I want this more than life itself. I can't think of a better place to shoot him because it's the most important thing in the world to him. Let's face it - he's not going to die, anyhow, and this is a perfect solution. Just think of the little orange man, strutting around without his nuts and his stupid little dick. The everlasting joy of it would keep me watching the show forever.

I have only been here since June but this is the best thing I have seen since I tuned in. I am saving it on my DVR so I can replay it when I am depressed - like when they are all having Christmas dinner together. Good things never last long, so we have to enjoy them while they are happening. This is better than anything I could have imagined. Thanks, writers, for once.

The voice of reason - it's good to hear someone giving the actors the benefit of the doubt. I left Y&R because the writing was destroying every single character on the screen, and find myself in a similar position here. I know from years of watching that Michelle Stafford and Billy Miller are capable of great acting, if the writing is there, and I am sure that's true of all these other actors that I don't know so well. I did watch Sean Kenan for years and he is excellent,- I would love to see him here, but I think he's tied up. I wish all the actors the best and better writing - well, except Sonny and Fluke. lol

I would never have thought of this as a possibility, but it is so interesting. I know what you are saying - if only before Mariah, when there was just Faith and Summer (about 5 and 8), this could have been a great story. Sharon can play really young, Noah is adorable, but I don't know if he could have played old enough to pair with Sharon or not. That said, the actor himself has amazing chemistry with Sharon Case, but it's impossible now, anyhow. I agree that this actor is being wasted with no story line and I've never liked him with Courtney. I can see him with someone who looks like Jana, but without the crazy. Maybe someday, he and Mariah can take Grampire down a peg or two.

I imagine he will have a few more scenes before he goes completely, but I miss Ian - every minute of the show. I so wanted him to do something vile to Victor before they wrote him off, but that very possibility is probably the reason he's gone. I hope the new writer will have enough skill to find something for him to do occasionally, just so I can be entertained once in a while. We have no one on the canvas (including my favorites) that even come close to this man's acting abilities. Just my opinion.

You are so right. This was part of the reason she isn't there anymore, IMO, because she was saying stuff while she was still there. I don't think the show needs any more behind the scene drama than it already has. If the show had half the drama that the backstage does, the ratings would increase like crazy..

Thanks, Peach, for a really detailed recap. As usual, there are at least 10 things that crack me up, but I just wanted to say that I love Mariah with that old fart. She can really hold her own with him, and I only see that getting better all the time. She is actually the best actress on the show right now (IMO) - I love her with Kevin and love her messing with Summer and Austin. Maybe she's just such a refreshing change from the type they usually hire, but Phyllis is very different too, and I'm not finding this one refreshing. Can't explain what's so captivating about Mariah, but I constantly look forward to seeing her with Victor - it's the only time I can tolerate him. Can't wait till SHE tells him "Ya got that?"

I hate to sound so stupid, but if the hairbrush belongs to Summer, why the hell would Faith be carrying it around and calling it hers? She is just a child, but she has to know if it's her hairbrush or not. Whatever happened to mouth swabs or blood tests to determine DNA, and why would anyone depend on a silly hairbrush? These writers are just putting crap on paper and we are supposed to try watch this show and enjoy it? Like someone above said, line up everyone in the entire city and force them all to take DNA tests, if necessary. I could write a better show than this and so could anyone on this board.

THIS - in a nutshell. That line cannot have been written by a member of the human race, but it came out of Victoria's mouth. She is obnoxious as hell these days, but she can't be blamed for the crap that is being written for her. I don't know how many languages we have to say it in - THE WRITING SUCKS - BIG, HAIRY, MONKEY BALLS.

This cracks me up, Peach, but there are so many to pick from in this recap. My comment on this is something about the acorn falling not too far from the tree, or some such shit. Thank you for doing these - they always make my day.

We have to think positive - maybe they are trying to make the show educational - God knows, it's not entertaining.

I know this is ridiculous but this just cracks me up. The show is so utterly boring - why can't they use something like this? I will admit there was a little comment from Kevin (the I'm no snitch, Stitch remark) that was kinda smirk worthy, but it's just so not worth it. I would have missed that one, except I do watch Kevin - that's how far the show has gone downhill - I watch Kevin. Please, please keep doing the recaps for as long as I live, or I will have nothing.

Peach - Thanks for the marathon re-caps - they really help. I'm still FFing almost everything. I had high hopes for some real drama when Victor came back, since Phyllis is bringing nothing dramatic right now. The only thing I am enjoying is Nikki getting in Victor's face - over and over again. Maybe I'm more done with the show that I thought I was. I just wait for your recaps - they're so much better than the show.
