  1. I don't know if it's intentional but the character of Brent describing his bros reminded me of Justice Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation testimony. Squee could be Squirtman. He is that big toothbrush at Bed, Bath, and Beyond that she's yearned for her entire life. Eleanor now thinks that Michael's meltdown was faked as his way of forcing her to step up the plate, but that's not really why he did that. Obviously, that Bad Place plan will come into play at some point. I know these episodes were mainly setting the stage for the rest of the season, and I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of it. Not too much forward though as I don't want it to end, but it's for the best that it's on their own terms.
  2. As if being voiced by the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) weren't enough, you could easily make the claim that Scrooge is a timelord as he is at least 150 years old at this point. Also, Magica De Spell is voiced by Donna Noble (Catherine Tate). There are plenty of Doctor Who references in the show.
  3. My high school freshman year Spanish teacher would often begin the class with ¡Cállense y siéntense! Shut up and sit down. Come to think of it, it was the first thing she said to us on the first day of school. I ran that Spanish category. 🙂 I agree. I liked the categories too.
  4. Exactly. For Helen to win, the other two contestants need to be wrong anyway and bet big so there's no reason for her to bet anything. Colin could have won too if he hadn't made such a big bet. The person in second doesn't have to go all in, but the person in first has to bet against that as no one wants to have lost by not betting enough. A smaller wager and he is the winner. When up against a giant like Jason, just try for the win as opposed to the big payday and hope for easier opponents the next game. Being of French-Canadian ancestry, I should have gotten "O Canada."
  5. That was the equivalent of the 80s PSA of "I learned it by watching you."
  6. I was sad when Della punted the Mickey Melon. I yelled out "I'm sorry, Wilson!" I was then upset with Gladstone eating him, but it all worked out for the best as Gladstone's tossing of the watermelon lead to the seagulls knocking Launchpad into the throttle. It's Gladstone, so of course it worked out. It was a great conclusion to the season. The ending made me think of "The Good Place" with the voice actors for Bradford Buzzard and Gandra Dee being Shawn and Tahani. I hadn't realized that Gandra had joined F.O.W.L. Poor Fenton is going to be devastated when he finds out.
  7. That should make that a before and after clue. I liked Emma. Oh well. At least she wasn't a one and done after beating James.
  8. Wow. Mad respect to someone who absolutely dominated the show for weeks. Congrats to Emma, the Giant Slayer. Long may she reign.
  9. Apparently, Sam healing Jorah of his Greyscale fast tracked him.
  10. I think he deserves some sort of wild card in the ToC. James winning so often is keeping the number of 5 day champions down. Dies anyone recall the policy for that during the Jennings run?
  11. Essentially, we got the equivalent with Chief Security Officer no longer on the show Halston Sage coming back and her sacrifice made it possible to restore the original timeline as she and her team stalled the Kaylons long enough to get the beta-secretase off the planet. John LeMarr was the MVP of the night. Ladies' man Geordi LaForge was just awesome.
  12. I'm glad to see a Community reference. :) I was thinking of Yesrterday's Enterprise too or any of the other dystopian ones that Worf encountered in "Parallels."
  13. This whole season has been about letting cases become personal (Rule 10). Between Ziva still being alive and now Gibbs' ex not dying in the Pentagon as was reported, it's been a whirlwind for him and he is not taking it well. I wanted to smack him for doing that. That is completely unacceptable. He's very lucky that Dr. Palmer managed to secure some tickets through his connections.
  14. While watching this, I was thinking of Locar and all the other Moclans like him who are attracted to females. That colony would seem like a great place for them to go.
  15. Fate, it protects fools, small children and ships called Enterprise. I mean, it's not like the fate of all sentient life hangs in the balance here. Oh wait... Fortunately, saving the galaxy is something ships named Enterprise specialize in. I did love seeing that version of the Enterprise. The bridge looked so much better and closer to the original than the Apple store one from the Abrams movies.
  16. Well, that Short Trek with Zora and Craft has to pop up at some point and 1000 years in the future is about right. We've already seen Saru and Kaminar and Po was in this episode. So, that's three of the four Short Treks, does Harry Mudd show up for the finale with his army of androids?
  17. I wasn't sure Roger Craig's record could be beaten, but James could break his own record tomorrow if he keeps playing like that. That was the work of a true master. It's only a matter of how many more games James is going to win. Will he beat Ken Jennings with 75 games?
  18. Spoiler alert from 1966? I'm not sure it's technically a spoiler as it's already part of the original series unless Discovery changes it. The irradiated and wheelchair bound Christopher Pike ends up back on Talos IV with Vina and the Talosians if the events of the TOS "The Menagerie" episodes still happen. Due to their power of illusion, he can walk again and his looks are restored much like Vina's. So, yes he does. Watch the old episodes to find out what Spock has to do to get him back there as travel to Talos IV is banned and punishable by death by the time Kirk is in command of the Enterprise.
  19. I'm presuming the time crystal was a way to avoid retconning "The Menagerie." At least he's got Vina waiting back on Talos IV for him.
  20. Thanks for that clarification. It makes a lot of sense to me. I had a rough day yesterday so I wasn't watching too closely.
  21. Now I'm no lawyer, but even though he was found not guilty of murder, the man is still responsible for his children no longer having a mother. He killed her at home with the kids present. I don't understand how this could even be a question. How is it possibly in the best interests of the children to be in the same house with the man who abused and killed their mother?
  22. I do appreciate the level of self-deprecation knowing that he had completely shot himself in the foot with those DDs. I can understand not knowing Peggy Sue, but anybody who thinks that JFK was still alive in 1964 has no business being a Jeopardy! champion.
  23. Airiam herself even told her to do it. She even outright stated she'll kill her and everyone on the ship and enable the destruction of all sentient life in the galaxy if Burnham didn't kill her first. Troi failed her command test because she wouldn't send Geordi to his death in a simulation to save the ship. It's a decision that comes with the StarFleet uniform particularly for those in command positions. Burnham should be looking at another court martial for insubordination at the minimum, but you're probably right that it won't happen. It sucks as she's your friend, but the fate of the galaxy hangs in the balance.
  24. El Capitan would certainly have one. My gold! Hic! That was an amazing episode. I'm sad we have to wait another two months for more. Della is awesome!
  25. This reminded me of the TNG episode "The Wounded" Captain Maxwell played by Bob Gunton (known best for his role as the warden in the Shawshank Redemption) didn't recognize the cease fire between the Federation and the Cardassians. They had massacred his family and he was convinced that they were planning an invasion. He had destroyed two vessels and nearly restarted the war before Chief O'Brien was able to talk him into surrendering. Gordon wasn't able to do that for Orrin though.
