This episode felt way better to me then the first one. Maybe because i accepted over the top, unrealistic nature of it. It really help i finally found someone to root for - Wes and Rebecca. Wes crush on her is pretty much only thing i can relate. It is also good if his crush is his motivation to do all that ilegal stuff he is doing. I can accept and like a character who is doing questionable things for love (or even lust). I could not stand characters who would do same thing because of sycophantish desire to please Annalise and help own career. One thing i strongly dislike is ridiculous case of week stuff. Enough of that. The show is losing any credibility with such cases and we already know what sort of lawyer Annalise is, we do not need be bashed over head with it every week. Other students also need to be developed better. Black girl have no character so far, Gay guy have very cliched unrealistic personality, and Lauren is so far not developed either outside of her unsecurity around that bearded sleazebag. You can say there is time to do that, it is just second episode, but i disagree. There is really no excuse for the new show to wait many episodes to give its main characters a personality.

Ha, funny to see all those reactions. I mean writers did just exactly what they are always doing. From the start of the show Bay is the Good sister, but she is underappreciated and overlooked. Daphne is the Bad sister, yet she is everyone´s favorite deaf little princess. I think they are very consistent with this characterization. I think people overact to the twist because they think the show want us to see Daphne as someone we should root for to get away with everything, but i do not think this is what the show is trying to do. I think it is brave to portray deaf sister from poor background as bad one, and latina sister raised by two rich snobs as good one. It would be so much more easy to portray Daphne as deaf good girl and Bay as rebelious and wild latina spoiled by rich parents, 90% of other shows would choose to do that. Oh well, maybe i am just biased because i like bad Daphne, she is entertaining. I can not wait how far she will go before the parents will realize, that Daphne have some serious flaws. Bay already know, and she is still very good to her unperfect sister, instead of being predictably resentful and jealous. I find it very sweet. And that twist is pretty good in my opinion. It was suprising, i doubt many viewers expected THAT. It also offer good possibilities for the future storylines, for possible tension between family members, which i think is good for the show. Much better then supremely boring separate stories of their parents. It would not be good for the show to send Bay alone with Emmett on other side of US. Sisters and their relationship to each other and to their parents are the best part of the show.

I just binge watched this show, so i will write about my general impression first. Overall i like it, but i wish they did not rushed everything. They lost lot of potencial from kidnapping/readjusting premise of the show. It barely started and we are already many months into the story. Love and friendship relations part of the show suffer even more from this then the family part. It is hard to believe Carter have already strong feeling towards Crash and her new friends, since from viewers perspective it look like they barely know each other. About characters: Carter - I love her, I instantly thought wow, where MTV show get such good new teen actress, than read about her and it was suddenly clear. Not only did I like actress, I liked a character too. Always liked this sort of of troublemakers female teen characters with lot of flaws and also a lot of personality over bland daddy girls with typical teen problems other shows so often using. I like Jill on Leftovers and I liked Dana Brody on Homeland too, so that explain my position towards Carter enough I guess. Parents - well, both moms and her father have some flaws....I hope they will not make Lori too evil. It work better if Carter´s feeling towards her mother does not come across as total foolishness. What Lori did to the family is bad enough, there is no need to make her even worse through display of creepiness. Dad seems to be the big asshole, that also should be toned down I think. Bio mom is only parent who seems like a good person and of course she is the worst in Carter opinion and will be blamed for everything bad what will happen in the family or to Lori. Siblings and friends: Taylor - I like her, she has good chemistry with Carter Grant and Max - I do not like them that much like others despite them being likeable. My problem with them - Grant is too smart for his age and Max is too stupid. Well stupid might not be right word, but Max really seems to be bit slow....His hearth is on the right place, he has common sense, which is rare by other teen characters, but for some reason he talks like he is mentally handicapped. Maybe it is the writers idea of how pot smokers talk, I do not know, but for me his delivery sound unnecessary stupid. I wish Alex Saxon could use same voice tone as he is using on The Fosters. Friends - I sort of like them, they have plenty of flaws, but that is OK. Only I do not like Crash. Not because he is drug dealer and criminal, but I could really live without his sob story and without him being portrayed as some great love for Carter.

Agree in both cases. I hope they are not serious about return of Brallie, not even mention to plan for them as the endgame romance. This storyline is dragging the show down. Hayley/Jesus is horrible, but i am really looking forward to fallout from it. Can not wait for mums, Mariana and Emma reactions to that tattoo. I find Mat/Mariana and Lou/Brandom interesting. Not as true love or anything like that, but is nice for sheltered Fosters to interact with characters, who bring them out of theirs comfort zone.

I have to admit from all Sunday shows, i like Leftovers most now when GoT and Shameless are on break. Why it so is true mystery of the show, because objectively it is not so good. It have many flaws, some characters (mysterious dogs killer is worst offender) and all cults are completely unbelievable. Why keep characters motivation all mysterious, dialogues all cryptic when it should be a drama about human reaction on supernatural event i do not understand. Yet i am still looking forward to it. So i tried to find reasons why i like watching it. I think it have certain unpredictability that is refreshing. You really can not guess what will happen next. It is not because of some excellent writing, but it is still refreshing compared to other shows, whose bad writing lead to boring predictability. And some characters are pretty good (even if they not very likable) and so are actors playing them. To this episode. Those bitemarks did not look like they are from a dog, they look human. Ofcourse if they are from a human, it does not make Kevin a very bright cop. What are odds Kevin and Aimee had sex? My little theory is it was not first time. Aimee is eyefucking Kevin all the time, she never wear a bra in his presence and i am not sure that Kevin dream about her in his bed from some previous episode was really a dream and not a recollection from one of his blackouts. I think she seduced him, than realized he does not remember it and since then she is using his blackouts to get what she want.

I think major problem of Tyrant is that what should be most compeling part is the most boring part by far. Bassam and his family should be an emotional centerpiece of the show, because it is about him becoming the tyrant and also about his family how they will adapt. But he and his family are terribly written and acted. Other characters are far better, mostly because of actors, because i think the writing for them suck too. Too bad, i really like the premise, but the execution is very bad.

This issue seems to be too much sensitive for some, i am not native English speaker to really explain it all why i dislike statutory rape storylines. One reason is it would not be ilegal in my country and i do not like preachy black and white way which would portrait several people i know as deviant sexual predators or rape victims even though it could not be more far from truth. (i am from European country where age of consent is 15 before anyone get wrong idea about me being a salafist or sexual deviant). But i will react once more about forcing Brandon to feel raped issue. Brandon does not feel violated for sleeping with older woman at all. He is indeed ashamed and afraid, but that is not because he slept with older woman and feel "raped". It is because he slept with with his father girlfriend and that is obviously good reason to feel that way. When he talk to his mothers and Mike about it, he does not use any excuses about his behaviour as he should. But than his mothers convince him he is just a victim and convince him to feel raped. That feel very wrong to me. For one he get free pass for his behaviour. For two and that is much worse: why would you want your son to feel raped if he does not feel that way before. This my last post on this issue, i hope i did not offend anyone too much, a different cultural background sometime lead to different perception of issues.

I just hope it is the end of obligatory statutory rape storyline, because there is nothing on US shows what irritate me more. The Idea of nice lovely relationship between a 21 year old person and 17 year of person being called rape is so disgusting for me, I have no words for it, I just hate those storylines. Sure age difference was higher here, it was not lovely relationship and Dani was portrayed as unsympathetic as possible, but a principle is the same. And it is not just older one who is the victim of the system, it is equally horrible to force in this case 16-17 years old boy to feel raped. I guess i should accept in USA is age of consent is higher then 15 years, though for some for me weird reason it is ok to have sex bellow age of consent as long age difference is not too high. I do not understand how it can be ok for Callie to have sex with Brandon, but if she would have sex with some nice 21 years old guy, it would be "rape".

I jumped from my chair when i went on winteriscoming and first thing i saw was Siddig being cast as Doran. After Ellaria it is my second fancasting to become true. I am also very pleased with Sand snakes. In this case i am very glad Nina Gold had her own mind about them, because most fancasting for them was horrible - usually actresses barely younger then Pedro Pascal and also Bollywood stars...They look very different from the book description, but that is not much problem for me. Most important for me is Dorne to get enough attention in the show, which seems to be a case. Fans of Greyjoys and Northern lords will probably not be that fortunate. I disagree about idea Sand snakes are just one note "kickass" character. For me they symbolise Dornish culture better then Arianne (who i like very much too, she is my favorite POV character). Arianne as princess is not so much different from Margaery. Snakes characters offer more freedom to explore how it is to live in very patriarchal, bastards despising world while being raised in very progressive way. Also their storyline - revenge is more related to Dorne plot then Arianne storyline, which revolve around her rights of being heir of Dorne. Which could come across very badly in the show without us being able to read her mind, she could easily be percieved as spoiled selfish little princess who just use her body instead of a brain. Anyway i do not believe Arianne was cut because D+D are hardcore mysogynists. I am pretty sure it is because if they plan to finish GoT in 7 seasons, they have to cut a lot. Some might say why cut Arianne and not 3 Sand snakes, but it is not that simple. Snakes cost only what those actresses are paid. They are present in Dorne and later in KL. If you include Arianne, you also include whole Aegon storyline with his own supporting cast, screentime, battles etc. If D+D decided to cut Aegon, there is no story for Arianne, her part in Qeenmaker plot can be easily transfered to Sand snakes (it was originally Tyene´s idea in the books) and Trystane, who have his own motivation to crown Myrcella.

I also wish they would speed up Bassam becoming the Tyrant. We all know his "wise" advices to his brother will not transform Abuddin into a democratic country. While it is necessary to set up him as being naive for now, it does not make for very interesting television. It is not something that can be dragged out for multiple seasons. I hope towards end of the season something drastic will happen as indirect results of his advices, which make him to reconsider his approach. Jamal being assasinated by Ihab movement would be a logical story progression, although it would be very predictable and i would miss Jamal actor. Maybe Ihab could kidnap and publicly execute Barry´s son for being a deviant infidel instead. Or his clueless wife, that would be even better. But for the story purpose Jamal have to die at some point, so i guess it will be him.

I am nervous everyone is being convinced Brallie is the endgame. I surely hope that is not true. I do not mind "controversial" relationships, afterall i find Cersei/Jaime to be very romantic in the World of forced marriages and i shipped Starbuck/Leoben in BSG, but in this show Brallie feel so wrong to me. Maybe it is because Fosters is more grounded show then BSG and GoT, but also i just do not feel there is enough chemistry between Brandom and Callie to justify it.

I knew i am not going to watch a second episode after exactly 17 minutes. That was enough time for the show to deliver three atrocious monologues/dialogues no real person would ever give. Nothing in rest of the episode changed my mind. It was prime example of bad sci-fi writing. Good writing would be to use a fictional setting to create original characters and stories that can not be created in the realistic setting. The Strain writers are typical bad sci-fi writers who think their basic idea is so cool, they can get away with cliche characters and horrible dialogues.

I wish this show would be better written. The premise is interesting, to have Bashar Al Assad as your protagonist, Udaj Hussain as his brother, Abuddin as mix of Irak, Syria and Jordan. But there are so many things they are inplausible. Everyone speaking english si problematic, because it took away any realism. Than US diplomat being present at the inner circle meeting or Jamal raping his son´s wife is also unbeliavable. Than Barry and his family is stupid all the time for plot reasons presumably. I also find his way to solve problems in this episode bit off. He felt bad for what his brother did. His solution? He made sure the victim of his brother rape adventures is executed instead of captured islamic terrorist. Way to go Barry. I am sure it will not bite you into your ass, the released terrorist will not kill any member of your family....And really you do not have to be genius or to know the name of the show to know that. His naivety felt so forced.

After 2 episodes, i have mixed and more negative feeling about this. I am sure somebody else already said it, it feel like network show. Lack of nudity reinforce that feeling even more, but main problem is that writing is nowhere near of quality of other HBO shows. It would be ok on ABC as better replacement for Lost then Flashforward or Event was. But it is disappointment as HBO show. It is such weird combination of typical European slow and depressing storytelling mixed with pure American characters, setting and religious overtones. I do not think it really work. It all look somewhat preposterous not real. Behaviour of people seems not believable, both cults are very badly made. I have no idea what is their agenda, why they are doing what they are doing, what motivate their members etc. Than the show is inserting another otherwordly stuff like teen party in pilot or raid in this episode. Overall Leftovers fail in its most important part, to show us believable reactions from individuals and society. Also where is HBO Ceo of Tits? Somebody should move his ass from King´s Landing brothel, if we not get hot sex between Kevin and Aimee, i will be disappointed. Not so much for missing nudity, but i hate when writers are teasing us with something and than they are too cowardly to follow.

Angie being killed was as much blessing for me as was when Emma was killed on The Following. Now i have no reason to continue watching both of those absolutely crappy shows. Good luck for Britt Robertson to find better show, it should not be that hard.
