  1. The whole Brenda-Kat incident reminded me of Charlotte vs. Ann Lux. Was there something pre-existing that caused Brenda to be so harsh with her? It couldn't really be all about the outift? I could really sense her dislike for the girl during deliberations. Back to the outfit---I'm glad the one poster put up that particular picture of Kat in the dress because while I was watching the episode, it was that exact moment I thought she wasn't wearing a bra if you can see what I mean. I agree with others about liking Yuko better this episode. I got to see more of what she is like, but with the editing, I don't think she has lived up to Kelli's hype so far. (And I think it's weird how she makes a big deal about her because I don't ever recall her speaking about anyone else like that before). I want to see more of her dancing instead of snippets and slow motion. Otherwise I loved when she yelled, "I did it!" I thought it was really cute. I was so disappointed not to see any of Simone's solo. She also looked like one of the last ones to be called into TC. At least with the editing, it looked like she was still sitting there when Kelli announced there were 5 names left. Kelsey---wow! She looked great on the big screen during the dance portion. Jackie, the fan vote winner, looks just like DCC Jessica. I love Candice Romo too! I'll just put this aside in here: I definitely like her and Tony as a couple ever since I read about them being criticized for having a "cheap" gift registry at Crate & Barrel and Macy's for their wedding when they are millionaires. It shows they are down to earth people.
  2. Since speculation is that the team will be announced soon, I'm going to ask this dumb question. What is the real life timing of announcing the team and getting the locker room ready? With the show edit, it seems like the final team is announced after final cuts from the same night and then they are released right away to check out the locker room with their names and photos up. Otherwise are they keeping girls they don't want on until final cuts just for drama when the team has been set and the locker room has been prepped in advanced? I hope this makes sense.
  3. Thanks @sleepyjean for sharing your experience. My family and I are a bunch of lightweights when it comes to anything over 70 degrees. We're used to foggy and overcast summers (natural air condition). Alas! We will have to research some more to make a decision about what to do.
  4. Hello! I'm hoping I can get some help from any Austin residents! My husband and kids (7 and 14 yr old) will be traveling to Austin in a couple of weeks, and I'm hoping to get some tips about getting around the city. We're going for a competition and will be at the convention center, but staying at a hotel off of NI 35. Would we be able to travel around Austin without renting a car? I did see there is a transit system, and am hoping we can rely on that to save on car rental. We haven't planned any site seeing visits yet. Thank you in advance! Any other tips and suggestions for our visit are greatly welcomed.
  5. I am curious---has anyone ever written to a cheerleader to get get an autographed picture from her?
  6. From the pictures, it looks like they announced Holly's pro bowl appointment during the game. I hope they post a video! http://www.sfgate.com/sports/texans/article/NFL-cheerleaders-from-Week-17-6735170.php
  7. I saw this today about Rachel. I thought her story was really cute. https://www.facebook.com/DallasCowboysCheerleaders/photos/a.413047096034.200984.181648811034/10153076358731035/?type=3&theater
  8. It looks like Holly P also had cut her hair again? It looks shorter than her cameo photo. It definitely looks better longer.
  9. Regarding Angela--I don't know anything about dancing so I don't know if this holds any water, especially because she has been a vet for awhile--Kitty blasted her during her rookie try out about her solo looking as if she was dancing unprepared or her routine looked thrown together last minute. When the judges were deliberating, they also were not impressed with her solo, but Jay stepped in and said something about her probably being better with choreographed dancing. I wonder if this played a factor in SG auditions. Maybe she would do well in SG, but she is bad with auditioning.
  10. I don't think Sarah Shahi's DCC picture does her justice. It's so dated, and that cookie cutter DCC hairstyle! Hope the link works for her post-DCC pics. http://m.imdb.com/name/nm1083404/mediaindex
  11. I think Holly Arielle is beautiful and comes close to Abigail for me. Katy is also a beauty and is one of my favorites. I didn't find out until a couple of years ago that actress Sarah Shahi was a DCC. I don't think she finished a full season. She is gorgeous.
  12. I haven't been much of a fan of short hair on a DCC. I don't care for rookie Holly's hair nor did I care for it on Teri Lynn and Jordan Baum. However, when Jordan grew her hair long, her look changed entirely for me. She looked great with long hair! I wonder how much long hair would change Holly's look. I agree that "glam girl" is in the eye of the beholder. I must say, though, that when you see the girls' social media pictures with their non-DCC friends, you do see a difference between how "well put together" they are compared to their friends. With that, I mean hair and make up. I'm so sorry if I came off mean!
  13. This interaction would be when the team was rehearsing before the game, and then Charlotte showed up on the field asking them how it was going. Judy told her there was an injury so Emma was filling in. She sounded as if she was choosing her words very carefully. I don't know if Charlotte was more upset about the disruption or more concerned for Ashley. I definitely could be reading into things. The reason why I felt Ashley N would end up on Charlotte's bad list because of the hard time she had given Ann Lux during her interview regarding her previous season. I really thought she had it out for Ann back then. If Ashley did re-audition, would Charlotte point out to her how often she was injured and it caused such inconvenience for them in Oxnard and then the preseason game.
  14. The interaction with Charlotte, Judy, and Kelli was very uncomfortable. K and J seemed pretty tense. "They have this one moment to make a good impression." Yikes! I wonder how much pressure Charlotte puts on them about the girls. After she walked away, all I could think of was poor Ashley N. She better not re-audition next year because she's probably on Charlotte's bad list now. Althought this last episode was choppy, I liked they spent a good amount of time with some of the events like training camp and preseason game rehearsal.
  15. She rubbed me the wrong way when she was working with Courtney and said, "Now did your shoulders move?" That is how I would talk to my 6 year old. When it came to Simone, I thought she could've approached it better than saying, "You caught my attention---but not in a good way." From other episodes in which we've seen veterans working with rookies, I could see those veterans approaching them differently. I really took Loren's style as condescending. Yes, her approach reminded me of Kitty or at least going towards that direction one day.
  16. I haven't finished watching this episode. I only saw Taylor's cut so I don't know how the others went down. Kelli's method of telling the girls they are getting cut is really irritating me. They come in and she asks them how they are feeling. She then she critiques them and gives the girl a say. It never fails that the girl ends up begging and groveling. Taylor was my breaking point. Sitting on the other side of the table, I wouldn't be able to tell what she's getting at. Are you saying you're keeping or cutting me? I don't know what she is expecting the poor girl to say. Is she waiting to make a decision based on the sob story? It's just cruel and confusing for the girls. Why is she even starting a dialogue if she has no intention of keeping her for another night? I want so badly for a TCC to come in, plop herself down on the chair, and straight out ask, "Are you cutting me tonight?" Kelli's technique hasn't been very smooth this season at all. That was too funny! I have not heard her name in a long time. I used to love her!I did not like Loren's personality at all when she was helping Courtney and Simone. I think she's going to be a future Kitty Carter.
  17. There was that one season they took in one more girl than they had lockers. Now was that for real? If that was true, what did they do about getting her a locker? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I always wondered since it was the old stadium, and that locker room was small.
  18. I didn't mind the choreographer either. I liked her style better than Kitty's. I thought she was more encouraging. She didn't berate them the way Kitty does. It gets on my nerves how Kitty ends all her sentences with "Yeah?", and the choreographer did the same thing. That bugged me. Did they make Kitty tone it down this season? I was expecting her to say very harsh things during show group auditions. I was surprised how mellow and soft her voice was.
  19. You reminded me of the season Alyssa Sarasani and Jordan Chanley tried out their first time (Alyssa was cut). There was a scene of either just Alyssa or both girls were practicing with a video. I wondered if they are given that to help them learn the dances during tryouts or what.
  20. I haven't gotten a good feeling these past two episodes. I don't know how else to explain it. I didn't finish watching the last episode until yesterday morning so I felt it was too late to post anything for that thread. I thought emotions were a little more raw and exposed than previously such as the one girl who shook her head when Kitty entered the room. I liked when KaShara was honest about weighing in when she was concerned about body image, and then Holly M was upset for being called out about her weight too. And then with this episode, the whole debacle with Angela, I could see how some of these ladies eventually are "over it". If KaShara and Holly make the team, I wonder by their 2nd year, would they call it quits. (Would Holly even make the team if she continues to struggle with weight?) Although we don't know the reason why Hannah acted the way she did, maybe some posters were correct in saying she was "over it" too because of the weight issues. I am a Chelsea-apologist so I do believe that she was tired of the whole weight thing. I also think the favoritism is very blatant this time around. Who did Judy roll her eyes at the other week? Was it Shelbi? I think that's the first time I ever seen her do that before. Usually she just yells. I wanted to see more of Karen, but they always skipped over her. Even though she got called into the office the previous week, they cut away after she left the office. Usually they follow the girl entirely out into the lot. They didn't follow her entirely to meet the girls outside after she was cut either. Even though they did give her background, they were abrupt with her editing. I wonder if they didn't like her in general. When they complained how thick Vivian's thighs were and her boots were high up on her legs, I thought Mackenzie Lee fit that category, too, with the thicker thighs, and higher boots, but they never said anything. Karen did look a little strange in the uniform, and at first it looked like her shorts were higher up on her hips than the other girls. They were like briefs. Maybe I'm wrong? Otherwise, even though she was who I would've voted for the fan favorite, I was skeptical about her after the tweet she sent to Kelli before TC. I hoped she wouldn't embarrass herself. I was glad to see she was really sweet and handled herself well after cut.
  21. RazzberryPie, I thought the same thing about Emily looking like Christine Taylor! I always thought there were moments Kelli and Judy, and especially Charlotte, would make mean comments about the girls. What turned me off the most this season was at audition when Amy (forgot the nickname posters was giving her) was ready to pop out of her top during her solo. I completely lost respect for the judges when I saw them laughing at her.
  22. I had to rewind that scene because I was confused. When someone says she's intimidated, it's usually upon the first time meeting someone, but then she had already been working with the Kelli and Judy on a regular basis.
  23. I like Madeline and loved how she carried herself when she was leaving the office. There are times she is really cute, and I do see her fitting in as a DCC, even with her looks. I know some of you will call me crazy, but in previous episodes she would remind me a little of Ashton Torres. I don't know, maybe it's her mouth. Sorry, I really did not like Colby. She seemed like she thought she could talk her way into staying another night saying she is well prepared and willing to dance for them. I still could not shake the feeling of not trusting her. She could turn on the charm when she wanted to. Maybe she can't help her expressions. She scared me with a brief look she gave when she was cut. It was a look of "I"m going to kill you". I didn't get a good feeling from her. I wondered the scene of bringing in the choreographer and addressing the "too thin for the uniform" was to appease us critics who say the dances look the same and that the DCC's are expected to starve themselves thin. Judy said she was bringing her in so they wouldn't be "cookie cutter", but her dance still looked exactly the same. I didn't participate in the fan vote, but if I did, I would've voted for Karen even if she ended off to the side. It was her expression that caught my attention. They haven't shown much of her at all so I'm disapppointed. When her group was dancing, Kelli went down the line critiquing most of them, but the film was cut off before they got to her. I liked seeing Kelli interact with some of the girls during the uniform fittings (enjoyed the scene with Simone) and wished we could see more of things like that.
  24. Kelli had also told Carissa to give her a resume when she turned down show group for financial reasons. She told her because she teaches dance, she could get her a job. I'm not sure, though, was she also waitressing or was it someone else who was and Kelli told her it was not the best job to have as a DCC and she would help her get another?
  25. I don't like the fashion do's and don'ts portion of the show they have done these past 2 seasons. Last year the "don'ts" were so exaggerated. I can see how they push the DCC's to have the same look based on those segments. What I miss seeing is the etiquette lesson. Someone mentioned the maturity level difference between Abigail Klein and Madeline. Abigail was called out a couple of times during the lessons. Her reactions were really cute. There aren't too many of those unguarded moments to see what the girls are really like such as Britney Schramm's "pee in my pants" while waiting in the tunnel moments. I do enjoy watching the self-intro's during the first meeting. I wish they showed more.
