  1. Tyrion's thinking long term. I doubt he gives a shit about Tarly it was how Dany would be viewed for killing off families in the way she did. Casterly rock was a admittedly a weakness of tyrion. Torching the red keep would've given dany the same problems she had in mereen. Sure she'd have the throne sooner, but then another terrorist organization would've likely arisen. Problem wasn't his plans it was that Dany didn't have a war time general to better implement them. She relied too heavily on Tyrion in that instance and since he's a scholar, he has no idea about the nuances of war strategy.
  2. Difference being that Dany Drogon or Rhaegal should have seen that from up high. Writers are now doing things for shock value and not for what makes sense in the story they're providing
  3. There's gonna be causualty's regardless only difference is the nobles wouldn't be affected by Tyrions method, and if you think Cersei's going to go away quietly cuz others demand it without doing something catastrophic, you don't know Cersei. Best bet is to go in there hard and fast and apologize later for the aftermath Lolol Not surprising Dany fans love that latest leak. Jesus is that one dumb
  4. Robert didn't go to war until the king came after him. Which happened because Brandon stupidly went down to King's landing and threatened to kill the king. I can see what the writers were going for, but they clearly needed another year to build up her madness because her going mad in an episode and a half aint gonna work. Also, how is Dany's plan of going right for the throne considered less humane than tyrions plan of starving the citizens? These writers have no idea what they're doing. If they wanted to prolong the series they should've sent dany and crew north right away without the failures and spent the last year watching Cersei build up her army. Instead we're getting a rushed war, an epilogue that's gonna make nobody but the casual fans happy because its not true to any of the characters. What could've been.
  5. Its basically don't turn on Dany cuz Tyrion knows what will happen. He saved tyrion because tyrion as hand was a revelation in season 2, as to why he backed Dany? Who knows. If Im not mistaken, one of the things he was trying to do was get Tyrion to focus on taking her out. He's not a fan of magic, so I guess its cuz D and D needed to move the plot along since there would be no logical reason for it.
  6. Don't want to believe the Bran as King spoiler but between Tyrions conversations with Bran and those looks they've been sharing, I'm starting to get scared. Some things are off. Or at least appear to be. Brienne would have to break her vows to Sansa which would be way out of character. Jaime didn't leave until he heard that Cersei was winning which seems to indicate he's not betraying the north. But yea too much of that is right for me to chalk it up to fan fiction. Perhaps some fake scenes are mixed in with the real. But it's not looking that way.
  7. Bullshit Sansa's big time self-centered. Only person thinking about others on the Stark side is Jon. The only reason that she don't like Dany is cuz Dany won't do what no other ruler will do and that's grant North their independence. Its why she continues throwing these hissy fits which serve nobody. The only reason she wants Jon to rule is not because she fears dany, it's because she thinks that Jon will grant them independence apparently forgetting that Jon has made more unilateral decisions for the North then Dany has ever even thought about doing.
  8. I just thought of a second thing thing that doesn't make sense about that second set of spoilers. If Sansa and Bran come down to kings landing, who the hell is manning winterfell?
  9. No you lose more. After what Im sure would be a prolonged siege, you can say bye bye to winterfell, lose the war, and say hello to more cersei prisoners after she wins.
  10. Sansa wanted to wait until the soldiers got better. So no they wouldn't have gotten ambushed at sea, but at winterfell instead.
  11. More I think about it, more I think that the only reason for the Parley was to add to Dinkelage's emmy reel. Admittedly, it was a pretty good job. Anybody with any sense realizes this parley is not going to work so why bother talking past that point. I do like that Dany's pretty much saying that at some point enough's enough. Time to take that throne by any means necessary.
  12. Sorry for being lazy but its in this thread, someone who was working on the cgi spoiled it.
  13. There's a digital spoiler out there that says he dies at KL
  14. So on rewatch: Shouldn't Lyanna and EDD be dust? I know it's better dramatically, but it's a simple rule. Why was that Bronn scene in there? Episode is long enough without inserting comedy. They forgot the iron fleet? Did will smith go back in time and flash them cuz Im pretty sure they were accounted for last time. For a show that likes wearing its feminist badge loud and proud, yall sure got off on having good guy Varys saying that Jon was the best ruler cuz he had a penis. And the Sansa thing, I get that yall were trying to say ( her experiences made her who she is), but holy shit was that awkward. And why is she being so antagonistic towards Dany? Good lord. Lol Bendry. Awks
  15. They forgot about Cersei's fleet? wtf was Tyrion yara and Varys doing ? Especially Yara since that's her friggin uncle they're fighting. Do these writers get that they don't have to dumb down characters to make things happen? Oh my god.
  16. Or she causes a civil war between the two factions attacking cersei, Northern army suffers heavy casualties and Cersei wins due to her machinations, then Cersei comes down hard on a weakened north like shes been planning to. For someone who has as many cards as she does, Sansa sure is shit at playing the game if she thinks this was her best move in the situation
  17. We only know that because we have access to spoilers, but realistically, whats the best she could hope for by openly opposing Dany like this?
  18. But she aint getting that so this all or nothing game of hers aint gonna work. She can either have Dany and bend the knee or Cersei and independence till Cersei decides shes done with that.
  19. So would she rather Dany go back across the sea and have Cersei as queen and be subjected to Cersei's whims of wanting to subjugate the North? Nobody's giving North independence, at least she has an in with Dany .
  20. Eh tyrion just needed to be knocked off his high horse, he's fine, but yea the rest are eh. But yea she was a good friend. That's as close of a good friendship as we'll ever see. Probs could've grown into a good advisor with some good seasoning
  21. Eh Qyburns just good at his whispers job. As opposed to Varys who's just there to be made fun of by tyrion for not having a penis
  22. Tyrion has bought this up repeatedly but for some reason, nobody else wants it. The further this show gets away from the books, the more it pushes this eras sensibilities upon it's characters and the story is clearly suffering cuz of this.
  23. Problem is they just don't have the time. Three episodes from the finale and I still feel as if we barely caught up to everybody from the first season. Honestly this felt like a waste of episode really. That being said not hating the subject matter, but we need to know some of the victims to at least get some resonance.
  24. My biggest thing about Sansa outing Jon is ok she has some trust with Tyrion, but how doesn't she know that Tyrion won't use this information to take out Jon since he's now a big threat to Dany. It's needlessly putting a target on Jon's back .
