Roger, I agree with you. They only presented one side of this story. The story-as presented-was heartbreaking, but there are two sides. I am so tired of media with an agenda. Don't even get me started on the prison industrial complex and the human rights abuses taking place in our penal system. When Sherri kept repeating "violent criminal" when describing the biological father, I smelled Getty's greasy hands all over this one. What the hell was that Leanne Rimes performance? "Help me make it through the night" sung slowly and dramatically with a disco beat? One of the worst things I have seen/heard on this show and that is saying a lot. Leanne Rimes has a beautiful voice, but she clearly has no idea how to choose songs that showcase that talent. ETA-I did not see the moderator's post before posting this. I liked the jeans outfit on Sherri. It made her breasts look a lot smaller and she appeared tiny in the picture.

As Whoopi would say, "What the hell..?" I think she may have lost her sheep and doesn't know where to find them! ETA: Those shoes on Jenny make her feet look exactly like Barbie's! They look painful. I will be glad when these ridiculous high heeled shoes are out of style.

Thanks for posting that link, LuckyBitch. I just wanted say that I am so tired of seeing women stand with their legs like Sherri has them in the pic where she is wearing the black and white striped dress. We all know you are doing it to appear thinner, but all it does it make you look like you have to pee.

I went over to look at Hasselbeck's Twitter. She has been off my radar for the most part and it has been grand. She still up to her old tricks claiming that her kids are decorating a flag cake while listening to the National Anthem. So much bullshit. my kids at kitchen table having a #ProudAmerican moment ... listening to our National Anthem while making a flag cake! (Mrs. @stevedoocy ) style! @foxandfriends There is a picture accompanying it of said flag cake.

I just saw a story over at Jezebel about Sherri backing out of the surrogacy agreement: http://jezebel.com/rumor-sherri-shepherd-backs-out-of-surrogacy-agreement-1601710152/all There is quite a bit of anger among posters about Sherri and it surprised me for some reason. I saw other stories on other sites and the sentiment was similar. The most interesting thing is that on every one of these stories, a commenter has come on there spreading the gossip that the surrogate is Lamar Sally's ex-girlfriend. Someone posted on the Jezebel site that other gossip sites were reporting it, but I have been unable to find a story about it-only found it mentioned in the comments. It seems that people back off of criticizing Sherri when they find out that this might be a factor. If that surrogate is not Sally's ex-girlfriend and Sherri backs out of the surrogacy, I suspect Sherri's career may be over just judging from people's reactions to this latest story.

Wendy, thank you for that explanation! I have never head of Lipstick Alley, but I am off to go take a look. This Sherri drama has turned out to be way more interesting than The View has ever been.

That was indeed a terrible outfit. Why would she wear that? Surely she knew this clip would end up all over the media. It is a brave woman who has breasts that big and chooses to wear a strapless top (or dress?) ETA: No-I have not heard anything about this, but if this is true-Sherri DOES need a reality show. That would just be too crazy! ETA: What is LSA and how do I get there?

They told Star she could say whatever she wanted to say about her departure from The View and she did just that.

Maryis, I have some sympathy for Sherri as well. I am just not a person that enjoys the suffering of others. A break up is difficult for everyone, but I suspect it is particularly difficult when you are a well-known media presence. Despite many of Sherri's inane beliefs and questionable behavior, I admire her ability to show a brave face and keeping going with all of these things happening to her. I have lost jobs and I have lost men-that shit can be very hard. Add in the child custody issue and this baby being born...it is a lot for anyone to handle. Edited to add: I do realize that she has it way easier than millions of way less affluent women in the world and by comparison, well, there is no comparison. No argument that high socioeconomic status makes everything easier. I believe there are some things that money cannot help you with and heartbreak like this is one of them. (The job, the divorce, the custody of Jeffrey, the new baby and that custody fight-the death of the dream she had for this family they were building)

Qoass, thank you for supplying those statistics and I totally agree with what you said. Personally, after yesterday's SCOTUS rulings and the one prior about the "35 feet buffer zone", I am in no mood to see a former bachelor "mansplaining" the issues of the day on a declining chat fest. Now is the time to get a smart, engaged panel of WOMEN-(there are enough damn men telling me their view on all the other shows) to discuss issues that women care about. This is what the women I know want.

Just saw Sherri "introduce" New Edition. That was over the top ridiculous. If someone dresses Sherri and she is not responsible for her own clothing choices then that someone hates her. Shiny leather (or pleather) is not her friend. She literally looked like she had a tire around her waist. The Madonna circa 1991 hairstyle is not as bad as the ball on the head she often sports, but it is not great. Some people don't have the face for the pulled back hair. Sherri has a pretty face, but softer curls around her face are more flattering. I would like to see her pick a flattering wig and stick with it for a little while. I really don't understand the different hairstyle every day frame of mind that she has. This show gets worse every day. I finally took this mess off my recording list apparently. I went in the living room about halfway through the show to watch it because I usually have it recorded. It was then that I realized that it was no longer recording. Then I suddenly remembered taking it off my list Saturday night after a few glasses of wine. I consider that solid proof that I often make better decisions late at night after drinking than I do at 10:00am weekdays.

I had it on this morning. From the ridiculous selfies, Sherri's loud and grating voice to the especially awful "What's Poppin". Someone needs to put this mess out of its misery. Edited to add: Jenny is NOT the problem with this show, in my opinion. They are making her the scapegoat, but the new format is awful.
