the original ideas for Howarth's new character involved either a Quartermaine heir or Dr. Tom Hardy. The roles were considered not dynamic or flashy enough, so Ron and Frank chose Franco.

Wait, wait, wait ... a legacy character like Tom Hardy or a Quartermaine to help bolster that legacy family isn't flashy or dynamic? So of course the better choice is to go with the serial killer. Alrighty then. This pretty much sums up all the things wrong on this show.

Franco is neither dynamic nor flashy when you get right down to it. And we all know why: it's the writers job to make a character interesting. Oh the actor can help to be sure, but the writing has to be there too.

Michelle Stafford was the final straw.  She sucks so damn much.

I paddled out to the barge after seeing her first scene on GH. I saw immediately she wasn't going to play anything other than Phyllis and I don't need that in my life! I miss watching a soap though, I may have to give Y&R another try. At least MS is gone, though I'll have to put up with that block of wood ....

Why is everyone so insistent on having Lady Stoneheart this season? It makes so much more sense storywise to have her early/mid S5, after we've had a few episodes of buildup in the riverlands.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I thought the ending and reveal with Lady Stoneheart in the book was really surprising. I really couldn't imagine them ending this season any other way. Count me as someone thoroughly disappointed at the exclusion. Granted, they haven't exactly followed up with any of the Fray stuff this season, so it might have been problematic having Lady Stoneheart show up, but still I expected that to be the cliff hanger. I really did.

Also, I just don't get it, because Beric pretty much seemed like himself, if a little haunted (heh). Not sure why Cat just turned into a vengeance demon when she was resurrected. (And you can try to tell me that it's because of the Red Wedding and believing her children had all been killed, but I don't buy it.)

Maybe it's a combination of believing all her children have been killed and having been dead a bit longer than Beric when she's resurrected?

Overall, I did enjoy this episode. I did find the Tyrion stuff a bit underwhelming. I was expecting a lot more out of those scenes.

What I don't understand is why anyone would be living north of the Wall to begin with.

I've wondered for years why my ancestors crossed the ocean and decided to live in the frozen tundra of northern Minnesota! I guess it happens. (And yes I'm aware we didn't have White Walkers running around, still it's super cold there in northern Minnesota!)

I thought this was a terrific episode - the tracking shot across all the fighting in the yard was beautifully done. I haven't cared a bit about Ygritte since the moment we met her, so I was happy to finally see her die.

Ghost kicked ass. I have to admit, I got a little choked up at the group at the gate reciting their vow.

rather than have people talking about it and anticipating the next chapter over the course of months they will do what I just did, gobble it down over the course of a couple days

You know though, I tend to do this with most tv shows these days. Netflix has certainly ruined me!

Another thing that bothered me was the fact that no one even brought up the possibility of escaping even though there was a hole in the shed that lead to the outside

But everyone wasn't aware of it, right? I mean certainly the ladies working out there knew but I didn't realize it was common knowledge.

Someone in production needs to explain the young Rosa/old Rosa accent mismatch

    Yeah, that was pretty bad.

    Blake/Ross/Holly/Roger story from 1992

Yes! This is one of my favorites from GL too. I actually started watching the show right around the time Blake and Ross were first hooking up. It was a great storyline.

In the last years of the show, I liked the Olivia and Natalia relationship, but got really disappointed (and bored) once Frank was included into it

I thought the Olivia/Natalia stuff was the best storyline of the last couple of years of the show. Though the writers really messed it up once Natalia ran away from her wedding with Frank. Suddenly, Frank showed up every single time Olivia and Natalia had a scene together. It was quite tiresome.

  7. I couldn't care less about Larry at this point and every single time we had to switch over to his 'storyline,' I was barely able to force myself to watch (such a hassle fast forwarding on Netflix!). I like Polly but I think she could do a hell of a lot better than Larry (or that lame hubby of hers).

Daya and John? ZZZZZZzzzzz. I don't get the point of these two at all. It doesn't help that the actors are chemistry free together.

I hated that Crazy Eyes ended up being 'the muscle' for evil Vee. I enjoyed her so much last season, but seeing her enjoy hurting Poussey? Yikes. I know, Suzanne is just looking to fit in and all of that, but I still found it hard to watch.

I didn't enjoy Tastee much this season either. Well, actually I didn't much like Cindy or the running girl either. Power corrupts isn't that what they always say?

I thought the wrap up with the Vee storyline was a little too quick and pat. Suddenly, everyone gets a clue in the last episode? Plus, I tend to think a user like Vee would just regroup and find a new 'family.' There have got to be a lot of desperate folks in prison looking for a mommy figure. Having said all that, I still enjoyed Vee finally getting hers. Though I was amused that Rosa's reason is because Vee is rude (rather than evil)!

I liked the whole season, enjoyed the back stories for our prisoners. Sigh. It's going to be a long wait for the next season!

Alex has shown that she is looking out for herself first and foremost, yet stupid ol' Piper just keeps on believing her, and and keeps on getting screwed over.

I certainly agree Piper needs to get a bit smarter about Alex, but sometimes there are people in our lives that we are just attracted to whether they are good for us or not.

I, however, love that relationship (as messed up as it is) and I think the actresses have a ton of chemistry.

  9. I thought the first 2 season of this show were about as perfect as a TV show could ever hope to be. Then things sort of went down hill. My mom watched this too and always had a little notebook nearby so she could write down questions about what was going on and call me after the episode aired! Good times.

Maybe they're in suits because sonny and Ava are getting married?

I'm convinced Sonny and Ava will get married. Let me just say upfront, I have no interest in watching this pairing mainly because it would include Sonny. Having said that though, this marriage could have a lot of potential for drama and storyline.

Sonny believes he's married Ava so the two cannot testify against each other about AJ's shooting. Ava, of course, knows she's the one who actually killed Connie and figures Sonny can't testify against her if anyone actually finds out about that.

There could be potential with all of this, but RC doesn't have a  bit of talent and thus this will end up to be the same clusterfuck as all the other storylines on this show.

If a male doctor was using his own sperm to impregnate his patients without their knowledge or consent, people would (rightfully) call it assault, and there would be a demand for him to lose his license.  It should be the same in the other direction.

This. Absolutely. Britt should be in hella trouble at the hospital for this entire episode, but that will never happen.

I really like Britt with Nik. I do. However, not a fan of baby stealing Britt and I don't feel one bit of sympathy for the loss of her 'child.' Bitch, that child isn't and wasn't yours. Not ever.

No Sabrina for weeks now? Beyond heavenly. I wish she'd never return to our screens.

Carly was cracking me up today: Sonny wouldn't do this. Or something along those lines. Really? Sonny wouldn't shoot someone? Give me a break.

you'd expect his first priority to be weaving a pair of shoes.

I'll be honest with you, I don't care if I never had a foot injury. My first priority would be to fashion shoes some kind of way! I'm not walking through swamps or jungles or whatever with barefeet. It's just not happening.

I rarely watch reality tv but this show has got me hook line and sinker.
