I wonder if Heather is Franco's show-and-tell partner in this dog-and-pony show of a wedding...is she running the video projector of Carly and Sonny in flagrante delicto? Moaning and groaning?

 

I sure hope not. I really do not want to hear that stupid recording again. But more importantly, didn't Days of Our Lives feature a porn movie played during a wedding earlier this summer? Would RC really want to copy that? Okay, fine RC has no issue copying stuff, but in this case the Days video was far more shocking since it featured a woman drugging and raping a priest. Not even the horror-fest that is the moobster and Carly can touch the Days video in pure ickiness.

 

I forgot to add  a previous post: the thing that really bugged me during Sonny's entire conversation with Morgan were the many times he called AJ an idiot. Now I realize AJ did a lot of dumb shit in his time. I know he was a drunken loser a lot of that time too. But Sonny calling anyone an idiot? Good lawd give me a break. He is the worst mobster ever. Ever. I have no idea how his alleged crime mob has even endured all these years considering how unrelentingly stupid he is and he's calling AJ an idiot?

 

I just want one thing to happen as a result of Sonny killing AJ for no good reason: Sonny needs to suffer. One of the reasons Sonny and Victor from Y&R are such boring characters is because they never ever lose. I loved Adam Chandler on AMC, he was basically a gray character and more often than not he was plotting and up to no good. But you know what? He lost a lot of the time. His family turned on him and so forth. Not forever but at least long enough for him to realize what he'd done (not that the lesson ever really stuck).

 

Sonny standing in front of Morgan pretending to be the victim in this entire Connie/AJ murder mess is just ridiculous. How is this the leading man of this show? I've missed most of the Sonny years thank goodness, because I don't know how some of you have done it.

Usually I don't mind when Carly's called "a lying, cheating whore" because she's not only all of the above, those are the nicest words for her; it's the SERIAL KILLER source who pisses me off. As heinous as the Slagbeast is, even she doesn't have as much blood on her hands as Franco does, tumor or not.

 

Exactly. While I will never use the word whore to describe any character because the constant use of that word on soaps irritates me, I agree with the rest completely. I don't mind Carly getting called out at all, she deserves it and a lot more. Though I can't even figure out why she's marrying this idiot when she's still sleeping with the other greasier idiot.

 

My issue with the entire Carly/SERIAL KILLER coupledom is that as awful as Carly is in general, I don't believe she'd hook up with the man who caused so much pain for her favorite son. I don't believe that at a very basic level so the rest of the nonsense is just added on foolishness.

 

I want Monica or Michael or anyone else on the show to be the one to put Carly firmly in her place. Certainly she has cheated on the SERIAL KILLER, but that doesn't mean I think he has some kind of moral standing to be preachy about anything. I mean anything. I don't want the SERIAL KILLER to be the one to blow Carly and Sonny's cover up into the open. I just don't.

 

Also, I'm very worried that Sonny is going to save Ava from The Nina and that will somehow absolve him of killing AJ. Saving Ava will be his version of a brain tumor.

I want to like Lucas, but between his closeness to Carly and his choice in men?  It's hard.  Real hard.

 

Well to be fair about his choice in men - who else is there? He's with the best of the available gay guys in town, because Felix? Just no (or as the Nina would say: 'no.no.no. Nah. Nope. No. No. Noooooo!' as she wildly waves her hands for no apparent reason).

 

 

But all three of them, on their respective worst days, are Oscar worthy in comparison to Michelle Stafford.

 

Sigh. Sad, but very true. Michelle Stafford single-handedly drove me from Y&R. She's damn close to  doing the same for me and GH.

 

 

I do really like this Joss actress (she kicked ass through all of Friday's episode)

 

The look on her face when Franco said hell no was absolutely perfect. She cracked me up. I mean everyone attending this fiasco of a wedding did a good job with reaction shots, but  Joss especially killed me.

Poor Sonny he had no choice but to kill that evil drunken AJ .he was tricked into it, and bad Morgan picked on him. I can't. I just can't.

 

This scene was just awful. Did Sonny really say Connie was his life? How did Morgan even listen to that line and not laugh and laugh.

 

I don't know what the hell Michelle Stafford was doing in those scenes, but make it stop. Someone make her stop. Please?!?

I'm positive of this. I don't even know why anyone would push Sonny as a leading man. It's mind boggling. Simply mind boggling. And yet? That's exactly how this show has rolled for what seems like 100 years. Just so much dislike for this character. Those scenes with Morgan were Sonny at his most despicable.

It would have been nice to see Lucas and Bobbie scenes without that freak Brad present.

 

I think he was supposed to be there to meet the mom, right? We had Lucas and Bobbie in scenes together without Brad just the other day. I never saw any of Brad's icky stuff (just read about it here), so he doesn't bother me at all. In fact, Lucas and Brad are one of the few couples I can tolerate on this show. The actors have chemistry and that usually can take me a long way with enjoying a pairing.

 

I absolutely do not believe Carly loves that fugly necklace. I'm asked to buy a lot of crap on this show, but that I do not!

Billy, to me, would have been best off just having his own new character to build up and make his own on this show.

 

But then there would be a lot of complaining about another newbie taking up screen time (and rightfully so). Plus newbies created by Ron? Not a good mix.

 

For some reason, I seem to need to have a soap in my life. Probably because I've been watching one soap or another for practically my whole life. But the general state of the writing and direction on this show sure make it a challenge to stick with it.

This character, Jakson, is not Jason period in my eyes, I don't care what his last name is. It is Billy playing a part, sure, but I'd buy him as the new milk man first.

 

To me, it seems a bit early in the storyline to just say 'It's not Jason' when we haven't even seen the character do anything yet. I'm willing to see where this goes since BM has only been on-air as Jason for a couple of weeks. He spent most of that time wrapped in bandages, he hasn't met any other characters beyond Liz and he has memory issues. I know RC is writing a crap story, that's a given, but at this point we really have no idea what is going on with Jason or in what direction the character will go.

Apparently not! Liz has been paid for her regular shift and over time, just hanging out at Jason's bedside.

 

Of course, no one seems to notice Nina skulking around the hospital for days on end either!

 

 

I just don't get it personally, what's the point of supposedly recasting a historical character, even if it's one such as Jason, if all you end up doing is making him over into a complete stranger without any discerning ties to his old self?

 

But Jason wasn't just Jason Morgan - he was also Jason Quartermaine. I think it's a little early to decide he's not playing Jason Morgan since we don't even know if he's going to be Jason M/Jason Q or perhaps a melding of both. Maybe Helena had a machine that did something to his brain which removed the borg. Hey, it's possible the woman somehow managed to hack into the fingerprint database today!

 

 

Eh, I hated Jason Morgan so IDGAF that the recast has given him a personality transplant.

I liked Silas today. ME seemed awake and present. I liked that he confronted The Nina instead of putting it off for another 6 months or so.

 

I'm over Jerry showing up not dead all the time. Seriously over it. And Tracy gets dumber every single time she's on. I don't know how that's possible but it's true.

 

Spencer is awful. I just hate saying that about a kid actor, but why is he written like an adult? He thought getting Emma back was the best thing in his life? Come on Ron. No  kid talks like that. None.

I really, really do not need to see anyone, of any gender, trying to bully anyone else, of any gender, into having sex with them.

 

Those scenes were just gross. Plus, not at all helped by MS playing them with her usual sexay sexay thing. Because she is the sexiest sexay that ever sexed or something. I do think ME's disgusted looks were awesome. The backwards sweater thing bugged me too.

 

 

Lulu at least was smart this episode and wanted Maxie to go to Diane to tell her about the ass judge to do something.

 

I really like Lulu making sense! Of course Maxie won't listen.

 

Listen while I think Pip and Milo are kind of lame and I don't understand why they are getting screen time - I'd still rather watch that than Sonny plotting to kill someone, Lucy chomping on bread like a mad woman and Kiki or Sabrina doing anything.

And an incredibly hot and awesome couple.  One of the few awesome couples (yes, before Ron ruined them).

 

I have no issue with the younger man/older woman dynamic - ever since the days of Matt and Donna on Another World (they were soooo awesome until the writers blew up the pairing and ruined every thing)

 

I too thought Ava and Morgan were good together. They had a lot of chemistry and somehow just worked well as a couple.

 

Of course, it was more of an accidental thing and not planned by RC so  naturally he had to find a way to destroy it.

So much this. I have always hated the character, but she has been extra annoying whenever she's been on lately (thankfully the appearances are few and far between). Her wolfing down that bread was beyond ridiculous. The whole Bobbie/Lucy/Scott thing is lame. First of all wasn't Scott all hot for Lucy and chasing her around wanting her to dump Kevin? Now he picked Bobbie? What the what the? And Lucy yammered on about her love for Kevin while cheating with Scott, so what happened to all that?

I'm not thrilled about BM taking over the role and turning Jason into Billy Abbott 2.0.  Just no.

 

How do you know that's what is going to happen? At this point, BM hasn't really had much to do as Jason. I've seen him on things besides Y&R and he is certainly capable of playing something other than comedy. Plus, wasn't Jason Quartermaine a character with actual emotions and so forth? Maybe he'll be that Jason rather than Jason/Borg/hitman.

 

I do think Patrick and Sam are not bad together because (right now at least) they seem very sparkly and all that. The problem is, that it's just so obvious this isn't going anywhere good. We're just heading towards another lame triangle. And the truth is, Sam and Patrick haven't been given enough time to build this side of the triangle. Or maybe it will be a quad since Silas is still sniffing around. Regardless, it's all too connect the dots for me.

This judge thing is the most contrived plot point I've seen, which is saying something.

 

Right? It doesn't even make one damn bit of sense! Of course not much on this show does. There have got to be many better ways to 'break-up' Nathan and Maxie. RC is really asking us to believe that this judge could actually do this?!? Come on.

BM is just going to create a brand new character called Jake that bears no resemblance to Jason Morgan

 

Jason Morgan gone? Good. Good riddance to that block of wood and the actor who made the character that way. Steve Burton won an emmy? For staring and blinking?!? The Daytime Emmy's are a bigger joke than I thought if that dude won. Really?

 

I'll take BM creating a Jason Morgan/Quartermaine hybrid all day long over the borg.

 

I like Alexis and Julian and I buy that they love each other. The issue is RC's awful pacing.

 

Why is Nina around? Oh yeah to make me suffer with MS because I was so glad she left Y&R - she just had to make her way to the other show I watch. And I'm about to type something terrible: but wow is MS unattractive. She scared me today.

I absolutely died at that. Mainly because Carly didn't sound the least bit passionate! Ha! Why would she be wearing that huge fugly necklace during sexy times? I'm amazed she didn't hurt herself or Sonny with that thing. Sonny and Carly are awful and horrible, but I prefer they keep that horrible between them rather than splitting them up and each of them infecting and ruining other characters. They truly belong together and deserve each other.

 

I wasn't watching GH during any of the Liz/Jason stuff, so I actually enjoyed their scenes today.

Certainly it's her choice to make. However, she has still expressed more than a few times that she isn't getting everything she wants from a relationship. Maybe she believes Sheldon will change or something like that. Regardless, she knows the relationship is far from perfect from her perspective so it's ridiculous to sit in judgement of anyone else's relationship.

That's a pretty big "other than" IMO.   That scoring system that gave them an 8 must not include any score for mutual sexual attraction.

 

Exactly. I mean I get Sheldon being smug about scoring an 8 on that quiz because he's smug about everything. But I didn't buy Amy sitting there and agreeing with him and acting that way to Leonard and Penny. I refuse to believe Amy doesn't know she's in a dead end relationship. She isn't getting much of anything that she actually wants in a relationship, so it's ridiculous to me that she'd sit there and try to act like her relationship is superior to anyone's.

 

I actually liked the Leonard/Penny stuff. I like them better together than apart, so I'm hoping we just leave things as they are and not put the audience through yet another break-up and reunion.

The details might be similar, but the biggest difference is that Beverlee McKinsey never came back. Plus, the circumstance was also a bit different because she was actually scheduled to go on a long vacation and basically quit the day before she left on that vacation. I don't think the folks in charge actually believed she wasn't coming back and then found out otherwise. It caused quite a stir at the time. I just remember being bummed out she wasn't coming back because she was an incredible Alex Spaulding.

Absolutely. They are the ones that un-did the Robin death and they are the ones who ask the actress to come back. I just wish the writers would change it up a bit in terms of Robin's whereabouts. Of course, TG has been taking the summer off for years and I don't recall many of the storylines surrounding getting Luke off canvas were very good either.

No they can't. At least, not by the actors unless they put in some special clause. (Who was the actress over on guiding Light who screwed over JFP because JFP didn't realize/forgot she had negotiated being able to leave every certain cycle? I forget the name).

 

That was the great, incomparable Beverlee McKinsey. According to an interview with Michael Logan: McKinsey adamantly defended her choice to exit the show. Her bosses felt they had been bamboozled. "They're bent out of shape because, for once, somebody beat 'em at their own game," she said. "I had warned Jill (the show's then-executive producer Jill Farren Phelps) – although I don't think she paid attention to me – that I was not happy. I was not happy with the story line." She had confided in Phelps previously that she was frustrated enough to quit, and was told in response that perhaps she should read her contract. 

 

That's a terrific story!

Has any soap character ever slept with two siblings and a parent? If not, I think Keeks should be the first.

 

Brooke on B&B slept with Eric (dad), Ridge (Eric is not Ridge's bio-dad but that was found out years later), Thorne (Ridge's half bro) and Nick (Ridge's half bro). Taylor on B&B slept with Eric, Ridge, Thorne, Nick and Brooke's son Rick (his dad is Eric). I think B&B is probably the most incestuous soap out there.

Lucy is very high maintenance as well as a shrill, ditsy drama mama. Scott's older maybe he is just tired. Lucy is exhausting. Even with her horror show of a face, Bobbie is probably a lot easier to be with.

 

Exactly. I hate Lucy and always have. I find the character beyond tiresome and irritating. While I've never been a huge fan of Bobbie, she's still about 10000 percent easier to take on a daily basis. Besides, Lucy would dump Scott's arse the moment Kevin looked her way.

I thought Julian had some potential at the start but he's useless these days.SB's Jason just looked perpetually constipated.  I saw BM playing a bad guy on something (CSI I think) and he was good. If I have to suffer with Jason, I'm hoping that somehow RC decides to go the route of having him come back as a Quartermaine/Morgan hybrid.

Pushing Sonny front and center as a 'romantic' lead was certainly the end of GH being a good show. It's called General Hospital and yet we hardly ever see the hospital. It's all mob all the time. Now with a bit of Serial Killer 'romantic' lead thrown in for good measure.

 

I'd love someone, anyone to explain to me how the folks in charge of this show (past and present) could possibly believe Sonny as the be all and end all of this show was/is a good idea. I just don't get it. The character is utterly reprehensible. It would help if every now and again he would actually pay for a crime or in the very least show some real, genuine remorse. Hell, Erica Kane went to prison for a child-napping! This endless 'Sonny can't go to prison because he's claustrophobic' is just stupid. 

 

I used to love this show, but these days it's a slog just trying to get through it. All these new characters RC has added just aren't needed ... Sabrina, Kiki, Nina, Silas, Franco (I know he's not new but still I stand by this), Felix ... could all go and I wouldn't even notice. The few things that do work, like Lucas and Brad (in my opinion anyway), disappear for weeks at a time.

 

And yet I record this crap show every day.

Not liking the Stavros/Lulu embryo story but at least it's better to just take Lulu's egg than what he did with Laura back in the day to create Nik.  (Although why only one egg? Doesn't he know the odds of an AI egg not taking?)

 

 

When did Stravros learn how to remove an egg from someone to create this baby? He's not only been frozen for most of his life, but I don't recall him being any sort of doctor during the few times he was unfrozen (then again perhaps I've forgotten something along the way).

 

So I finally paid some attention to the kids today. What the hell? It was even worse than what I've read here! 'Luke used my feelings for you against me' what kid speaks like that? Give me a break.

 

Shut up Nik. Shut up Dr O. And for the love of all that is good in the world: shut up Carly and Sonny.

 

Never really thought DZ  or ER were that great of actors, but damn, they're stellar just for keeping a straight face during all that

What in the holy hell was that???? Ava has TWO babies. I have NO BABY! even Sam has a baby. Well he isn't a baby anymore. But still. I shoud, have a baby, why don't I have a baby, I'm going to have a baby. What do you mean I might not be able to have a baby? are you saying I'm old? I want a baby. I want a baby NOW.

 

The Nina wants a baby. Good lawd. These scenes were absolutely ridiculous. MSt was horrible: shrieking, jazz hands and line repeating as usual. And by the way? Yep you are waaaaayyyy too old to be having a baby. Give me a break.
