  1. No hate here! :) But I don’t see it... I see someone older who’s probably on meds for all his ailments, and in pain, and probably not who he used to be. He may also not like to show his “mushy side” on TV.
  2. I know Ramona can be terrible and self centered, but there’s something about her weirdness that I find endearing. I also admire how she weathered her divorce (at least from what I’ve seen). It’s far more recent than Sonja’s, and yet we barely ever hear her talk about it.
  3. That’s just it—I think Kathryn just needs to see if this woman is for real, or if she is just a gold digger. Or at least that’s part of it. She’s shown she can get past things with other cast members. I mean, pot meet kettle, LOL. But she IS the birth mom trying to make it nice. Messy California Girl’s attendance wouldn’t help matters.
  4. Agreed—and yet, she should be able to say “I’m not comfortable with Ashley coming to this party. It’s too new for me.” She is one birth parent in this equation... and she may not have say over who’s spending time with the kids now, but she can say “not this party.” Especially since Ashley is being a whiny terror about the invite. As I said earlier, if Ashley had chilled out, she may have been invited anyway. We’ve seen that kind of thing happen on Housewives and other shows—so-and-so is not invited because they’re obnoxious; they chill out; and the person invites them anyway.
  5. I see what you’re saying, but she’s not the parent, she’s not even supposed to be spending that much time with them (from what I understand)—and she’s presuming a place in the family life that even TRav seems to take a little issue with at this point (since she’s forcing the issue so strongly... ETA though of course he allows it). IMO it’s far too soon inthe relationship for her to be asserting that pride of place. Especially because she was just kind of sprung on Kathryn, and it wasn’t as though she and Thomas had ANY kind of conversation or understanding about it. So yeah, I can see that from Kathryn’s side, she’s just been there a minute. Good luck with that, Ashley!
  6. It would have been 1000 times more gracious for Ashley to overlook the party, let Kathryn and TRav do their parental thing on their own, and only sent a gift. She may have earned an invite just by NOT making a big deal about it. But overall I don’t think she belongs there. She’s been with TRav five minutes. If it were a “normal” party I might side with her. If she were well and truly engaged to Thomas, I’d agree with her... but she’s not. It’s about the kids—and she shouldn’t stick her nose in that and make this a drama event when both of them are trying to lessen the drama.
  7. “He is not Mr. Sensitive Ponytail Man.” Re: Ashley, did you ever think someone would be more of a persona non grata than Kathryn? And yet, here we are! Haha another great quote! And that’s the one I used in the Vanderpump Rules thread... I guess he watches (watched?) that show! Pardon me, I’m in California and I need to go dress badly...
  8. “Come to where the flavor is. Come to Ashley Country.” (I love that movie... and that line... too! I referenced the movie in another thread last week... Maybe Vanderpump Rules? I often try to work quotes from the movie into conversations—my favorite is Eddie Vedder’s delivery of “A compliment for us is a compliment for you!”—but usually, no one else gets it...) Yep, he said “California.”
  9. Just don’t send it to her unassembled... we all know how she feels about THAT! :D She might have to call someone in her amazing Rolodex to help her put it together...
  10. I think that tweet applies to many of the “Charmers” today! —Ex tries to be thoughtful? Scream at him! —Boyfriend acts bored when you talk about rings and the “slight” that the mother of his children perpetuates on you? Press in! —Wondering about the best time to bring said slight up with the mom? How about at a big group dinner! The men actually did seem to behave better than the women this ep. (Of course, we always have TRav’s sketchiness...)
  11. Naomie will really find any and every reason to get pissy, won’t she?
  12. These car rides, I swear. It’s like I’m watching a low-budget knockoff of Waiting for Godot, without the meaningfulness.
  13. Is Ashley going to talk about this issue the whole weekend? Can she really not understand why Kathryn wouldn’t want her there?
  14. Gizmoooooooo!!! Naomie: blah blah blah It’s GIZMO TIME!
  15. Whatserface actually said “Melania Trump—my hero” when parading herself in front of Thomas. So I guess the resemblance isn’t accidental...
  16. Totally agree that it’s nonsensical (and stupid, and petty)!
  17. Wouldn’t she have said “act like 45” if that were the case? And she also said something like “you’re acting like you’re seven,” so I think it is about age.
  18. Surprised Vulture only gave this episode one star! I thought it was fun.
  19. I thought it was to make the dig even diggier. Insult Carole by not only implying she was old, but using a number that stings.
  20. When your messy gossipy at-home esthetician is calling you out on your garbage, you’ve really hit bottom.
  21. The first time around, I thought Carole asked Bethenny if the juice scared her. I finally realized on rewatch that she said TRUTH. Makes more sense...
  22. “I didn’t say she was a PUPPET, Ramona. I just said that Carole doesn’t speak for herself and is manipulated by others. And that maybe sometimes she looks tight and wooden.”
  23. LOL Tinsley. “DID YOU JUST DRINK IT?!??!” Honey, this is fake :)
