  1. Nelly has that "looks like he's having fun" quality and he has stage presence. I'd much rather watch Nelly's sexy self grooving to the music with his natural charisma than a technically much better dancer like Nev or Kaitlyn who are eyesores for me. Kaitlyn just seems joyless even when she smiles, perhaps because of the frozen upper face due to all the injections.
  2. Derek's Dr. Hyde is the only time I've found him attractive lol. Wow I never cared about Justina Machado until that tango. That was so much theatrical fun and she was in complete control of the ballroom. Sasha has also always been a fave since he started. I was distracted during Nelly's dance because I couldn't stop thinking about how bad Ashanti must feel seeing this. Holy cow at Jenna's back muscle definition. I wish I cared about her partner because they're doing a great job. Tyra is OK now. If she had started this way there wouldn't have been a fuss.
  3. Jeannie has always been very opportunistic and calculating but I was moved to tears myself. Ugh. I really enjoy Monica and her partnership with Val. I would probably enjoy her with anyone, but I think they're particularly well-matched. I don't care about the Disney Girl or the Catfish Guy but I would miss Jenna. I love how she attacks a dance w/ the same intensity that I appreciate in Peta.
  4. Derek is so much better than his shrill phony sister. I really enjoy him in this role. Tyra is being Tyra. Erin was awesome but nervous on Day 1 and I recall people were still hating her. Tyra will get better but this is still going to be tough for her because she is so used to shows being all about her and being the boss. Oh I like Jenna now that she has job security. She used to reek of desperation but now is more herself and is enjoyable. Jeannie Mai acts like she spends 95 percent of her day practicing her facial expression poses for the camera. She has admitted as much in the past for rehearsals for The Real. It's a bit exhausting.
  5. I love Tamar. I love her voice and her sparkly attitude. I don't love her tantrums but I see she has a good heart when she comes down. Ppl like that have rage from unresolved stuff. I think she said once she had been sexually molested and physically abused.
  6. This is one of the few shows I still look forward to. It's always a bit of a disappointment when the episode ends though. It's not satisfying and exciting like it used to be. I wish it were less contrived. Enjoyed the dark end of this episode though.
  7. I'm all for choosing the most fashion forward designer but this was such a hip hop Barney cartoony gimmicky look that I've seen before. Lame. Would have preferred Victoria but would have been happier with anyone else tbh.
  8. I like this plot development rather than Tariq just floundering aimlessly getting into trouble, but I'm still mystified on the motivation for this. How did he go from resenting his father for being a gangster (that's what he literally said) to having this be his true calling that he's mad no one till now recognizes? I like La La's scenes. It's nice seeing her improve as an actress. And her character deserves this fine treatment but can't help but feel bad for Holly. Holly was loyal, too, and I believed their passion and coupling more.
  9. The show is sooo much better when its characters work together. I love the chemistry and it reminded me how badly it has been missed with them all at odds.
  10. Was rooting for Proctor. What the hell is wrong w/ Tariq? I'm still trying to grasp how he's still loyal to Kanan and disloyal to his family who have literally saved his worthless life multiple times now while Kanan wanted to kill him and his wannabe G life has cost him his sister's life! I get being mad at his dad for the affair but much has happened since that Tariq himself needs mercy and forgiveness for.
  11. In Season 1 when Smurf took Jay to a motel after they robbed the bar together (she played the fake hostage) she told him after, "PROMISE ME WHEN THE TIME COMES YOU'LL PUT A BULLET IN MY HEAD. PROMISE ME, JAY!" He promised. So I was expecting it to be Jay and don't think it was revenge, just appropriate.
  12. They needed more episodes and to edit out all of Bonnie's mother. So their idea of giving us insight into Bonnie is make her have one-way conversations with her mother and her cryptic voodoo visions that amount to absolutely nothing? Queen Nicole killed it in the courtroom as always--I could have watched the entire hour of just her. It ended abruptly and was obviously time-constrained. Renata was allowed to show range this season, having been accepted into the group of liars and I was hopeful she wouldn't revert to the raving lunatic. That was SO lazy and predictable. She deserved better. Unless someone hasn't watched TV before, they would have sensed immediately that she was going to smash everything in that room. Yawn.
  13. I was very satisfied and impressed with the entire season. Veronica Mars has finally grown up. I actually never liked the CW Veronica Mars or movie much but watched to support a talented cast and cool concept. Killing Logan was a gutsy and impressive move. It made sense with the story and didn't feel contrived at all since the set up for it was there. It will also obviously keep her growing as an independent heroine rather than settling into a suburban parent life like Wallace. Leo was my favorite any way so thanks for the fantasy sex scene, RT.
  14. Nicole is the reason I tuned in last season and stayed this season. Surprise of the season though is Laura Dern, both her character and her performance I've gone from hating to enjoying. Look forward to next week.
  15. I re-watched it before the start of this season and had remembered i t worse than it was. The teenager he had was a nightmare and would have been for anyone because she said she was the designer and was hamming it up for the cameras how much of a talented diva she was already. She overwhelmed him with her requirements and nixed his ideas that would have made it better. Christian never once complained about her size, to my surprise. He complained about how she was driving him crazy but not to her face. The outfit he made for her that was "her design" wasn't even really bad, just the wrong colour but I think she may have insisted on it. He messed up for not knowing how to handle her and letting her steamroll him but I don't recall him being nasty or unwilling to dress her size. I agree Christian was my favorite that season and it's lovely to see his growth. At times he may have come across "negative" as a mentor but I took that as him taking it personally because he has literally been where they are so is harder on them. He just wants them to not screw this up because he knows how life-changing it can be and empathizes with them. It's almost like reliving it for him and there is no way in hell he would have wasted time etc. and wasted this life-changing opportunity.
  16. I was 100% in agreement with DVF. Hester served designer XXI meets XXX and I loved it. It was fresh, fun, fashion-forward, creative. It was a bona fide designer with her own point of view. It was joyfully executed, with every look being a delightful surprise. I can't stand the dime-a-dozen skilled dressmakers doing perfectly pretty clothes I can buy in any department store already. I love when DVF waits till the others commit their opinion and all reinforce their group thinking, and then she schools them, reminiscent of when she did it by saying, "Actually, I knew Jackie O. and she would wear this."
  17. Bethenny is a terrifying sociopathic narcissist. I'm glad she isn't in my life but disgusted she is on my tv.
  18. Traci needs to forgive herself for getting pregnant. That's who she's most mad at but the sisters are an easier scapegoat. Plus maybe they could have acted like they missed her, wished things were different, instead of moving forward and never looking back. Maybe if they just showed her some love about it she could forgive.
  19. That Teen Vogue editor continues to make me cringe. Her look was like a suburban mom's idea of street wear--like she went to the costume shop and bought "90s hip hop" costume. Brandon impressed me with his quick response: Yeah you're like 20. You're not supposed to know who you are. But you are supposed to be able to design clothing. (Brandon and Christian are both proof of that.) And I was impressed with his closing remarks to Kovid about the "cyclical nature of fashion," which were kind and wise. I agreed with the winning and losing look.
  20. I'm very disappointed they got rid of Main Guys.
  21. Biddell's was the only one that felt like a high fashion show. Every piece was fresh and exciting and cohesive. The others I can and have seen so much of before. Not surprised since the judges consist of a flash-in-the-pan has-been (Isaac) and a grown-up Olivia Jade (Georgina).
  22. That Teen Vogue editor kept saying "real women" this and "real women" that to send Frankie off. Are we still using that silly term? As if non full-figured women are somehow fake/to be denigrated. Just express body positivity of all shapes and sizes without insulting any other type.
  23. This is the dullest start to the season ever. Why is this nobody desperate hanger-on Barbara the focus so far? I hate how she butted her fug mug in to grab even more camera time when Bethenny and Dorinda were having a rare genuine conversation.
  24. I quit PR a few seasons ago. Just couldn't take it anymore. This return to BRAVO without Heidi and Tim and with Christian Siriano makes me so happy! Yay! The designer who was eliminated was right--I did find her garment flattering and the mess that was saved was a mess; however, no one is going to miss her.
  25. Christian "kind of a big deal" Siriano--yassss! I love him. What a breath of fresh air. Excellent to have a bona fide talented designer mentoring. I fell tf out of love with Tim after his mentor show and don't miss him (or Heidi) one bit!
