  1. I said what it is made out of, not how it tastes, so I don't agree vegan cheese is categorically bad. :p Like any ingredient, there are varying brands that vary in taste. I like Chao and Daiya myself.
  2. I think it may've been more because of the type of low-calorie, highly nutritious food she willingly eats: smears of veggies, liquefied veggies, etc. This was a crust of what looked like simple carbs and wheat flour, with vegan cheese which is mostly oil/nuts (i.e., saturated fats), which would be very bad for someone obsessed with not gaining weight. It's also a good point made earlier that it would make anyone extra uncomfortable at the table if their eating/not eating is the focus of everyone's scrutiny. It's like, "Here's your piece. Now, let's see you eat it!" It's a damaging way of dealing with it that sets the person up for being ridiculed, not a productive, compassionate one. I came from an abusive dysfunctional family and I would say that, despite whatever Ramona is, she and Mario seem like good parents. They gave her everything she needed that money can buy but most importantly seem to be there for her in a loving way to which she attests to. Did I hear correctly when Jules mentioned Adderall? It sounded like Carole mumbled something about using it herself. Also Bethenny froze and shut right up. It was as if these 3 skinniest girls are all too familiar with it.
  3. That's why she's reluctant but she's still never truly transitioned so shouldn't be exploiting the trendiness of veganism now (a la Beyonce, etc.). As a 14-year vegan, I find it a little eye-rolling. However, it's good to see the mainstreaming of something that was derided before.
  4. LOL I've accepted and come to look forward to her next mention of being Asian. It's like she's doing it with a wink and a nod, embracing the inevitable drinking game montage to come for the Reunion. I can sympathize with Bethenny, especially since it's what my sister-in-law just went through, but not too much given what she's like on a normal day. This quickly remedied health issue doesn't excuse anything that came before and will undoubtedly come after. I enjoyed Ramona's impression of Bethenny, but it's a good point that it's disgusting they've reached this level of subservience where they need to ensure they show proper penitence to Queen B.
  5. I'd be curious to see her with a more modern styling instead of the Farrah Fawcett wings.
  6. She probably would have if not for trying to sell a cookbook and needing to establish some credibility. So only in this instance did I forgive/understand it for the purpose of the narrative. Recall last season when she mused after getting off the phone with him, "I'm distracted [from writing] by phone calls with cute boys. Sigh." In Carole's head, I think she's "just a girl standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her," except he's fallen for her so it's the other way around, which sustains her very healthy ego.
  7. In this case, I understood her "girl" choice as modelling it after the "boy meets girl" trope.
  8. If I were going to bet on it, I'd bet cooking is the last thing that matters to this very rich man. IMO, what would matter most is how she looks (as in, as close to how she was pre-kids) and how she attends to him sexually.
  9. "I don't want the tears to come from you, but from me." That's a profound way of putting it--genuine emotion elicits that in others. Good on Towanda for going after her dreams instead of just being bitter about others fulfilling theirs. She cried on cue so that was impressive but not really surprising. I'm sure she has a lot of pain buried within which is why it manifested as rage and bitterness towards Tamar. This will be a healthy outlet for her. I enjoyed how the actress who played Tamar was relishing outdoing Tamar
  10. Normally someone who is incredibly spoiled would bug the hell outta me but she doesn't. I think it's because she has a vulnerability and innocence to her, and generally seems nice. Although, we haven't seen enough of her yet to judge the layers to her. I also really liked her gag gifts she picked out for Bethenny and Ramona. It's a small detail but they were thoughtful and cool gifts that reflect well on her.
  11. I loved how Lu breezed in looking sensational in that white Armani skintight pantsuit, and then invited herself, all while breezing out and leaving B with the bill. The best way to deal with ostracization from the Mean Girls clique is to look fabulous and unfazed, and that's what she did. Good for her.
  12. Ugh. I got that sense from their interactions (he always looked like he was unbothered by her and whatever was happening at the time, just bidding his time til he could be with someone else) and he has access to endless temptations. But I didn't want to be right. Poor Jules. Hope she doesn't eat even less now.
  13. It's unfortunate that, from what I read, The Real wanted Tamar alone (they already shot next season promos with her) and not an extra check for Vince doing nothing as an "Executive Producer." Vince should have encouraged her do it without him. As for the show, WTF was Traci doing telling her son she needed to work on her jaw skills and her husband discussing their sex lives with their son (him saying he could learn something as he ran upstairs). Borderline child abuse, IMO.
  14. I don't like that Omarosa clip because it reminds me I consider her one reality TV person even worse than Bethenny. I've never seen anyone steamroll and badger and have delusions of grandeur worse than O.
  15. Especially considering she was almost raped/in danger before for hitch-hiking until Henry came to the rescue.
  16. I would have agreed except she then had the following scene where she used the incident to justify her need to be briefed and give her moral condemnation before she permitted them to resume their missions.
  17. They're raising Paige in such a stereotypically American way so of course she's an entitled snowflake and Holly Taylor really does rely on one expression. It was a very frustrating episode to get through.
  18. I saw a couple posts about Jules needing to learn how to "string a sentence together." Is this B's influence--since that's the reputation she was trying to stamp her with for being Japanese--or are there instances I've missed? I haven't noticed her having difficulty speaking except for when she was facing off Bethenny who would intimidate anyone, especially fresh blood like herself. Moreover, she was admitting to her struggle with eating disorders, which is another topic that I can forgive stammering for.
  19. I would add they did that every season starting with Javier in Season 1. I didn't love him and never thought his voice was anything amazing yet that's all I ever heard about him each episode. What you said is certainly the way it should be but that's never the way it is for voting competitions, not just on this show.
  20. LOL @ "celebrity succubus." Speaking of Hillary, Christina is supporting her because she really believes in sisters in solidarity and all that. At least she's consistent. I don't think the female coach "manipulation" made any difference because Christina has been saying that for years to no avail. Alisan was better vocally than anyone Christina has had and arguably than anyone else this season. This galvanized Christina and her normally scattered fanbase to organize and power vote for the first time. (I've seen it.) Christina also utilized influential celebrity contacts and Alisan has some minor celebrity from being Curly Sue and may've had some influential contacts pulling for her, too. (One of her best friends is Adam Lambert who has his own network of contacts and fans.)
  21. Probably but I'd be a bit peeved too if someone announced my news for me. Even if she didn't do it intentionally, I can see being annoyed that she was careless.
  22. Good on Mark for being as approachable/appreciative as he seems. :)
  23. I think it was natural of Paige to reveal it when she did rather than come in with a sob story on Day 1. She spoke about being bullied out of her town before she was on DwtS so that's why I don't think she changed her story to deflect from her dance experience. I'd love having Dmitry on the show! He may not be famous enough to win but I think there's some overlap of audiences for DwtS and PR.
  24. That's surprises me. I've never thought it doesn't exist outside of porn. I know it definitely exists amongst women I know of different generations. (The first time I heard about it was when I was a kid watching a sex ed. program, the Sunday Night Sex Show with nurse Sue Johanson.)
  25. Alisan was boring and only Laith entertained me. But Alisan is definitely the supreme voice--especially with her audition--so good for her and congrats to Christina, as well. Alisan is the first singer Christina has really campaigned hard for. Her official site sent out an email to everyone subscribed to her newsletter to vote for Alisan and she had her friend Kim Kartrashian ask her followers to vote.
