  1. Yes she said she threw up her food. This is quite heartbreaking to think about. I can picture her purging because she stepped outside of her stringent food rules by eating that slice of pizza to appease her "friends." If I had to guess, I'd say she isn't one to binge, but someone who will purge if she doesn't stick to the smears and green juices. I would be interested in seeing her continue with the show and I hope that photo is a good indication of her improving when it comes to living with this illness.
  2. Yes, as even Bethenny attests to, Jules is self-deprecating. This bit would fit with that. I also wouldn't balk to pay a premium to get that necessary task done quickly and painlessly if I were living in a top income bracket. The price is excessive for most, but obviously not for them. And when you compare it to...say, a designer t-shirt at that price, it's actually a worthwhile investment compared to yet another pretty material object they could buy. She showed a lot of poise and grace in standing her ground amid the sudden verbal abuse and not breaking down until Hurricane Bethenny passed through. It's hard to be witty while fighting back tears during an onslaught you weren't expecting. (I think it's also a given that none of these ladies are particularly intelligent with varying degrees of airheadedness but they're all somewhat savvy socially, which is what they're supposed to be. Only Bethenny & Carole seem to pride themselves on their purported intelligence but we've also seen them demonstrate their fair share of stupidity.) I also don't think Lu needed to be the gracious one any more than she already has been in chasing Princess Carole around to repeatedly beg for forgiveness. More importantly, though, I question the sincerity since Carole only changed her unforgiving attitude once Lu's story threatened to eclipse everyone else's. It's as if she just found another ass to crawl up.
  3. I was very annoyed w/ Rachel but I was not outraged with UnREAL because I think they are in on our feelings of outrage. They wanted and expected to provoke that and I believe they know who the real victims are. I think in even taking on this issue, they would not be using it to further the plot of "poor Rachel" but of "you-have-gone-too-far Rachel." That's why she committed herself. I'm withholding judgement for the show because I think they wanted to end on a cliffhanger and that is the only reason they left Darius and Romeo's aftermath out of this episode.
  4. I never said it was OK. And I don't think the show is trying to, either. I think they've always been trying to show exactly how outrageous these producer machinations can get. And here it went outrageously wrong.
  5. He didn't know her extreme methods, but he did sign up for the reality dating show for the sole purpose of rehabbing his image. It's why he also was convinced to take the epidural to continue. It was sickening to see her crumble into her usual self-indulgent pity-party but she is our anti-hero so the focus is on her. I hope and expect the next episode will show us Darius' and Romeo's POVs. For now, the show is showing she finally went too far in manipulating situations and exploiting people and knows it, which is why she banished herself. In the sports and entertainment world, which is where Darius makes his money, I think there would be a mainstream outpouring of support for this kind of incident captured on film if it were shown as it happened. (Of course, there will always be those who will not see him as the victim, but their views are too deep-rooted to even contend with.) Rachel is mired in self-loathing and I think we are supposed to loathe her, too. I don't think the show is condoning what they did or expecting us to feel sorry for her.
  6. He signed up to be character redeemed from his scandals so I think that sort of videotaped injustice would galvanize the general public beyond the show's viewing audience to see him in a sympathetic heroic light.
  7. It's clear they wanted to end on a cliffhanger so I think the fallout and status of Romeo and Darius has to come in the next episode. For now, Rachel got reamed out by Jay. Yes I thought the show wasn't trying to say we should be feeling sorry for Rachel. It's saying she fucked up and knows it, and unfortunately, she is the focus even when I find her a grossly entitled and self-indulgent, self-inflicted wimp.
  8. What happened to the Jules thread? Or am I just not not seeing it for some reason.
  9. I dislike how Trina brought Gabe back without telling us what we "wouldn't believe he did" etc. as she kept alluding to all last season. So I just had to accept that story wasn't going to be complete and forget about him, but now he's back. Closure? Looks more like she misses him and I don't wanna judge her because I get the struggle, but it was a little secondhand embarrassing seeing how nervous and dolled up she got while Gabe looked much more at ease and less invested.
  10. Jules was agitated but speaking in a purposely controlled voice. She further brought it down to a conciliatory tone when B demanded her right to a monologue. Jules replied, "You're right. You're right" and "100%, as you should. I'm not trying to take that away from you." Then Bethenny barked, "Don't yell at me!" She might actually be worse than Omarosa to me after all.
  11. I didn't read Carole's drivel but if she had the integrity to admit to her spineless behavior she wouldn't be doing it.
  12. These are examples of someone who thinks the world revolves around them. Unfortunately, thanks to Andy, the show does revolve around her. I hope she came armed with some good lines like what she came up with here. It would make sense that she's actually a smart girl and you can see that in her writing, but is not a good speaker because that involves being comfortable and confident in her own skin, which seems to be the everyday challenge given her ED. LOL that is the perfect description of what makes Dorinda unique when she's upset. Funny how since Lu's storyline has developed, Carole's become cool with her so her weaselly self doesn't get left behind. She can't pull the "If Lu's going, I'm not going" power play because she'll be the one left out of Lu's big party. Jules with makeup looks like a former high fashion model. I imagine she must have been quite a stunner before the ED. Carole & B conduct themselves hideously and look even more like gremlins now to me. It's interesting Adam actually expended the energy to greet B with excitement and warmth. It's as though he's trying to keep his apple, too! It was a stark contrast to how tired/put upon he seems when he talks to Carole.
  13. Well we are watching The Real Housewives not Project Runway or a show based on trade versus social skills. So if Lu aspires to that role and is fulfilled by it, she's one of the few accurately representing the show's premise. There's a quote I quite like. It's something like: "You be a proper woman in your mind and I'll be a proper woman in mine."
  14. Yeah I don't like that he's the male equivalent of the Manic Pixie Dream Girl right now.
  15. I think that's a bit overblown because professional drivers (of any reputable company) and anyone in hospitality or tourism should be used to calling their clients by the formal greeting of their last name (especially in the introductory stage). So I don't think they'd take it that way at all. I've never had anyone in those industries call me by anything but my last name, whether I wanted them to or not.
  16. After viewing LuAnn's special, I could see that there are legitimate codes of conduct or social hierarchies that she would have been accustomed to in her life. So I think it was unfair for Bethenny to condemn her for this and expect LuAnn to live by her young, single, party girl worldview at the time--a worldview where what LuAnn was used to would be considered overly formal and pretentious. But for Lu, it was just her usual life. That doesn't mean B has to bow down, just not impose her standards like what she's accusing Lu of doing by just stating the request. Clearly Lu has relaxed a lot of those standards now that her lifestyle has changed.
  17. Shudder at the thought. Yes I really can't imagine that--even if I wanted to--because Adam so far barely has energy to move around, keep his head up, or talk. He speaks in this weak drawl the way people on Naked & Afraid sound after a day.
  18. Perhaps he lives off his parents like many who can afford to drift off and do multiple hobbies rather than getting a job.
  19. You're right. I find that distinction and pointing out of it each time though to be pedantic and uninteresting.
  20. Well she's internalized misogynist ideas about women and aging so I'd call it sad rather than just stupid. Women didn't create those standards but it's very understandable why they're susceptible to internalizing and reinforcing them. All but B and LuAnn seem caught up in that.
  21. The appearance of such is, which was popularized in porn. This is why Brazilian waxes/laser are the norm.
  22. Devil Red suits her, who'd a thought? :) Carole is such a weasel, openly smirking with delight the more upset Lu got. Then when Lu thanked Carole for being the "only supportive one," Carole looked disarmed and ashamed for a second, but quickly recovered to continue her ugly gloat-face over Lu's unhappiness. Jules' doctor seems to have a permanent lecherous look to him. And she seemed to encourage and enjoy it. Probably because her husband stopped looking.
  23. I used to be a Bethy fan and believed the same things you expressed. I believe now that when she self-flagellates ("I was horrible") it's to have a pity party for herself for acting out and bait to get the others to comfort and reassure her she wasn't such a monster/was provoked, etc. Which is exactly what happened. Like others have pointed out, she really just apologized to herself for letting someone make her stoop to that level. Meanwhile, no one was comforting the victim of her hit-and-run which is why Lu barged in on Jules' moment to herself. I actually suspect it was the teasing of "Well, you copied my hair" that really set this unique, self-made millionaire off. That's when she seemed to lose it and she referenced it a bunch of times later ("What? You think I'm trying to look like you?") and then showed up for drinks with Lu with her hair styled differently. Didn't Bethenny say Nene was her favorite Housewife? Think I recall that.
  24. IDK about the knees but I'm glad and surprised her weight looks stable in that photo. Hope this remains the case and the divorce doesn't inflame her ED.
  25. I rewatched that scene with her introducing her drink to hubby and it was way too spot on to be a coincidence. In addition to pointing out how he had nothing to do with it, she joked, "Maybe you'll be coming after half of what I own one day!" He stopped smiling.
