Is Lance back on the force? Detective Malone wasn't one of the four brave cops even though he recommended Lance for the dead bad cop's position. I'm confused. LOL!

My problem with that being a new love interest for Oliver was how quickly MG & BFS (I think) took to Twitter to say calm down. They don't usually respond like that. I guess time will tell.

For those who think Felicity is kissing Human Target thinking it's Oliver, Wil Traval did like 2 tweets mentioning his character kissing Felicity. One said to stop smooching her. The other asked if he was. The likes could mean something or nothing at all. I am not against this scenario. I have just heard too much about S1 callbacks and I know how Oliver's romantic arc played out there which is making me grumpy.

What about Josh Segarra? If EK is billed after PB does he have special billing status? I think PB does.

I know David & Emily are filming. I was simply stating that lack of Tyler shooting pics may mean nothing.

If Malone is on the anti-Crime Task Force he might film one day per episode he is in which might not be many. I don't think his primary role is love interest because I don't expect Felicity to get much focus outside the bunker. I think the kiss in the promo is with him and its sole purpose is for Oliver to see and propel him forward. He is probably going to have to date 1 or 2 women before he decides to fight for Felicity (if then) similar to what happened in S1 with Laurel. There is a reason they are avoiding any and all talk regarding Oliver and Felicity as a couple. Btw, if SM is an indication of who is filming don't expect much Felicity or Diggle.

Maybe Connor Hawke is in addition to Sara Diggle? He looks older than her. SA did say something about the show needing more kids. Laurel 's final words might have been about Sara, a new canary, or just letting others help in the fight. I think Sara is a real possibility if Legends ratings tank. Meanwhile we will try "Tina".

Hmm..WM has been saying since SDCC that Felicity is affected by flashpoint. Everyone else has been saying Diggle on Arrow. Knowledge seems to be what she is "carrying" through the season. I was thinking general. Now I am wondering if part of that is knowing about Sara becoming Connor (or whatever actually happens with Diggle's family) and it gets addressed or fixed at the end of S5. SA said we would be dealing with it in the beginning and the end of the season. The new promo says" not your average billionaire". Did Oliver get his fortune back?

I thought Felicity might have been in a wheelchair too. I don't know about being in a flashback but Barry was telling her about traveling through time. She wanted to know what happened.

So, if I understand that EW interview with MG correctly, Detective Malone is going to help the vigilantes similar to Detective Lance. Guess he's going to be around longer than 5.01/5.02. (I think people thought that based on SM.) Oliver is going to have to win over Susan Williams which probably happens in 5.05 based on Carly Pope's tweet. My guess is Oliver rescues her somehow. Maybe the scene SA was talking about pushing someone in a car and charges going off on his chest at Edmonton Expo.

I was watching Timeless and who should appear but Susanna Thompson! She was the female lead's mother. Good to see her.

I so want this to be true. This makes the most sense of anything I have read this hiatus. Felicity is in denial and has just suppressed everything. Her default is to just move on like everything's okay. This is Felicity's crisis mode only her guilt over Havenrock probably exceeds anything she has ever dealt with before so cracking in 5.03-5.05 makes sense.

"What's a guy got to do to get a little love?" Another possibility-Detective Malone to Felicity maybe? In the clip Oliver says something about Curtis and Felicity being there late. The response about something techie actually made me wonder if Felicity was trying to avoid going home. Maybe she's trying to avoid the boyfriend who really is/was a distraction for her? (This war between hope and my more realistic nature is tiring!) It also contributes to the ambiguous nature of Oliver & Felicity's relationship.

How do we know he hasn't been on set since 5.01/5.02? I keep reading this but no one says why they are so sure of this- here or elsewhere.

I was originally hoping 5.05 Human Target would be a catalyst for Felicity because since she walked she'll probably have to make the first move in his direction. Feeling more realistic than optimistic anymore. I have a vague memory of reading something Mericle said about the two of them having to decide what their relationship means to them and how far were they willing to go to fight for it. I guess temporary LI's is the easiest/laziest way to get there. I don't want to sit through S1's O/L story with O/F! (Stomps feet) For a twist we could watch Felicity (the villain) go through multiple bland partners. The love interests could be around for a while even without "proof." SM presence about Arrow seems to be on lock down except for the 100th episode. Detective Malone is tied to the "A" story if he causes conflict for Oliver as Mayor and Green Arrow if they start another anti-vigilante task force. It also causes conflict for Felicity as girlfriend, vigilante and former fiancee of Oliver Queen. Unpopular opinion: Unless a lot of drama is created by Oliver discovering the boyfriend's existence, media - comic book or main stream entertainment - are probably not going to be critical of the story line. They have already made Felicity the villain in the break-up narrative. I don't think a little more criticism of Felicity would matter to the EPs because people would be watching the show the "right way". In their minds Felicity is directly responsible for killing thousands. (eyeroll). They have already heard from twitter. Even if ratings decline, they were breaking 5.12 a week or two ago.

I'm not sure I need it to be Oct 5. I think I need it to be Oct 12 so I know what is flashpoint related and what isn't. Did any of the screeners give any indication on Diggle being affected? Maybe we aren't aware of how he is affected until then. I think they said eps 3-5 were dealing with the fallout.

I am not sure what would be the point but perhaps the boyfriend is flashpoint related because in flashpoint Havenrock didn't happen? Maybe in flashpoint ALL the nukes were stopped? Star City's destruction still would have happened. Then it would make sense that Felicity might have gotten into a relationship. Assuming Barry reverses it in Flash 3.02 it would explain why Felicity's own story doesn't start until 5.02. (No clue I'm grasping at straws trying to make sense of things. LOL! ) The TVLine bonus spoiler said they are both in crisis mode and don't have time for relationship things. She was spinning out over Havenrock and they both need clarity for themselves.

Detective Malone (Tyler Ritter) was announced as recurring. I think he's the boyfriend. Lt. Conahan (Ryan Williams/Mr. Poppy) and Officer Benton (Jay Hindle) weren't officially announced but are listed as cops in 5.01. I think one of them is more likely to be Prometheus target. 3 Bland white boys to choose from.

Who provides support to Felicity when she cracks over Havenrock - Detective Malone, Curtis, Diggle or Oliver? (I am thinking it's not Rory.)

Clarity is supposed to come in 5.05. Felicity realizes she can't move on or Oliver attempts to?

The journos know where they get their clicks from. I guess what I don't understand is the EPS trying to sell Oliver & Felicity as ambiguous. Oliver hasn't moved on. Felicity has or is at least trying to. I guess it depends on who says the quote about moving forward even if it's not the life they wanted. The shot of Felicity kissing tall, bearded guy through an open door makes me think the shot is about someone seeing. Originally I thought it was HT with Oliver witnessing. After seeing the shot of TR taken on 09/24 that someone posted I was back to thinking it was Det. Malone because of the body stance. LOL! The promo might cover 7 episodes but there is no way to know which episode that shot is from. I am surprised the CW is allowing so much facial hair on set when they won't let David Ramsey keep his in Star City.

There is an Officer Benton played by a Jay Hindle credited on IMDB for 5.01. He looks similar to this guy. I think he and Lt. Conahan/Mr. Poppy (who has the Prometheus run in) are the corrupt cops. Detective Malone could be involved but since Mericle said he was a straight shooter and they really hope we like him I think that might rule him out as a corrupt cop. I think ship stall and possible conflict provider if another anti-vigilante task force is established. Lack of SM presence on set doesn't indicate not being on set. I was surprised Joe Dinicol (Rory Regan/Ragman) was still around for the crossover. There has been very little BTS pictures this year. Echo said it was to avoid spoilers. Spoilers might included who is filming. (JR grew his beard out after 5.02. In the only BTS picture we have of him in 5.02 he has scruff.) Since the episode doesn't appear to have leaked, just that particular screenshot, I wonder if someone who received a screener did it or if it was even Chico & Co. or MG/WM. It seems like the journalists must have been told not to reveal the boyfriend's identity. Then CW releases a promo showing Felicity kissing someone not Oliver. Some journalists were being hounded by who he was because clothing, hair, and ear analysis by fandom wasn't providing a clear identity. Ha! Some also tweeted things like "Feeling Betrayed". Fans thought it was the scene but a more likely scenario would be feeling betrayed by CWPR. Perhaps that screenshot was meant to stop the harasssment or to get the online anger out of the way before the premiere? Felicity being affected by flashpoint (per WM) may amount to nothing other than her knowing it happened because of her Flash appearance.
