Maybe she is related to Kovar somehow and Oliver does kill him at some point (5.17 at earliest since he's featured in it).

End game to out Oliver Queen as the Green Arrow? Which is kind of strange in the 5th season with the end of the original flashbacks.

Why are we so sure Oliver is rescuing her? This is a hacktivist organization. Getting in might be easy enough. Walking away is probably a lot harder because now they definitely have something on you. The "rescue" needed is possibly outside Oliver's skill set. Curtis, Diggle and Oliver all try to get through to her. It sounds to me like she is going to either have to rescue herself or take control of the organization to make it a force for good. My first thought after MG said the BJ song for Olicity was "Until You Come to Me" that at the end of 5.23 Felicity will go to Oliver and say "Can we talk..." Fade to hiatus. The Segarra interview makes me wonder if Snoozan doesn't get rescued by the end of 5.16.

Doesn't she have to do something, possibly more than one thing, before she can profoundly understand Oliver? I would think this would last at least through 5.20 since 5.19 is titled Dangerous Liaisons. She hasn't really done any morally grey things yet, at least no more than usual. Even if she wants out immediately she might find it's not that easy to get out.

Will Vigilante even be important going forward? He's been a ghost most of the season. Mention in 5.02. Had an episode dedicated to him in 5.07. They could go after him but now that Chase has been revealed as Prometheus I think Vigilante was just a red herring. So Felicity is definitely leaving the team to go work for Helix? Also, if Oliver is going to be all about Snoozan in 5.16 I guess the adult conversation might not take place until 5.18 when I presume the team disbands?

I wondered from Felicity's reply if she's just repairing the electronic damage/proof and not actually talking to Susan.

Those 2 episodes could be all there is. She's filmed 5 since and might be interacting more with the others. Diggle filmed with Rene for 1 or 2 and that's been it. I think they're using him as the welcome to the team guy.

Didn't she mention being on his personal detail? I think that was her purpose so we would know why she's around the Mayor all the time. Both Dinah and Rene were set up to interact with Ollie & Lance if the team disbands in 5.18. Felicity will interact with her cohorts. Diggle is his friend and Lyla is coming back. Not sure where that leaves Curtis.

I am guessing the show wants us to believe that since unintentionally killing Billy that Oliver has seen the error of his ways and thinks everyone should be given the benefit of doubt. See Black Siren, Dinah & Snuzzan. No one who comes in contact with him should suffer because of it. If he knew you before 5.09 you are out of luck. LOL This is him becoming a hero in the light. His past is just that - his past. It made him who he is today but doesn't have to define his future. He is going to try to guide both Thea and Felicity back towards the light I assume. He may come across hypocritical as all get out but I think that's what they are going for.

So, if Thea refuses to help reporter get her job back, is Ollie going to ask for her resignation?

I guess we'll have to wait and see what Helix wants from Felicity in 5.16 to see if she really does something morally questionable. Up until now it's just been business as usual. I think she must be reevaluating her lack of life offscreen, which doesn't surprise me. I assume the USB is just an access key which Helix can track and block from the database. Reaching maybe, but if reporter's CI has a gambling problem is he former Argus, Helix or what? I thought originally he might have tied into SCPD's corruption but why would they have access to a database with a picture of Oliver w/Bratva in Russia?

I just checked IMDb. It looks like he hasn't been in this season of Blue Bloods. I don't know when his movie Illicit was filmed.

I think the adult conversation is about keeping secrets too. I just wondered if because Helix is blocking access unless she does something in return that it might prompt the conversation if she can't provide info to Oliver in 5.16. SA actually said around 15.

Probably not. Seems like WM says the whole purpose of Felicity's arc is so she can profoundly understand Oliver. She's probably going to him once she does.

Maybe it's Oliver to Lance because he (Lance) is interested in Dinah. Ha!

I was thinking someone to Curtis since Echo has mentioned Curtis trying to save his marriage. Not sure if it would be Rene or Felicity.

I like the theory but it still goes against everything they are trying to sell in interviews about SW being a good person. She might be a pawn herself who simply would do anything to get the story but didn't mean to develop "genuine feelings." I think you could be on to something with 5.18-5.19.

I have often wondered how much of this season's developments, especially all the new masks and Felicity being reduced to comic relief, is attributable to Ben Sokolowski's visit to Reddit last spring.

I missed out on that. If it wasn't clear I don't think anyone is getting married in S5, definitely not to the reporter.
