Yes, am planning to move permanently as soon as I find a place.

In need of advice..... I found another job in my field. Better hours, pay, days off, and I'll be a supervisor now. The only thing is the job is 1:45- 2 hours away across the state (FL) in an area that was devastated by Hurricane Ian a few months ago so housing is extremely limited. I am set to start on the 23rd. Work time and hours are typical office hours. Since it is highly unlikely I will find permanent housing then, would you all recommend that I make the two hour trip each day or rent a hotel Sunday night and return home on Thursday? Just looking for suggestions.

I’m allergic to cigarette smoke and I don’t want it around my son, so smoking is definitely a dealbreaker.

Maybe he's looking for a sugar baby? He probably knows he can't take the money with him when he goes and is looking to spend it with a hot young thing (or several lol). I am so tired of men just wanting a hookup. It's so lame. Sex isn't that important to me that I need to hook up with a total stranger. Ugh. Online dating is so meh.

I was just coming to post about Bruce. So sad. It’s so hard to watch a loved one decline from dementia. Praying for strength for his family and friends as this horrible disease takes its course.

Honestly, its a witty intro and someone who projects confidence and warmth in their profile that does the trick. Looks are a small part, but personality is everything. Also, put in a little effort. Make sure the pics are not blurry and are taken in good lighting.

To all the identifying as boys/men participating or lurking on this thread, some advice: Using a photo that identifies you as a prison inmate as a profile pic is not a good look. Also, please refrain from using a pic of yourself on the toilet naked and covering your bits and pieces as your profile pic as well. Just, no. Thank you. So FB dating isn’t that bad for me. I like that its free and I can block them immediately if things get too weird. Met a really handsome guy, we were having great conversations and clicking wonderfully….and then he told me his expectations in the bedroom and….yeah,no. Glad he told me up front before we went any further. Meh. I’m finding many men want me to carry the conversation and I just don’t have the time for that. My life is too busy for me to keep track and remember to ask you mundane questions.

If you want privacy, you don’t sit in the middle of the restaurant where everyone looks at you. I’m sure this isn’t the first time they’ve been out to eat since meeting, just the first we’ve heard of it since she acted a fool.

Aww man. At least she is reunited with her dad and her son. My heart is with Priscilla and her kids.

I didn't watch the Golden Globes....Lisa-Marie looks almost unrecognizable from when I last saw her. I think losing her son took a harsh toll on her. Praying for her recovery.

I’ve never been a supervisor or laid anyone off, but I also feel bad for both of you. The guilt of letting someone go right before Christmas for no reason other than budget cuts has got to sting too for any person of decent moral character. Its just an extremely crappy situation all around. Yes, she has her home and bills paid, but she also has to live with knowing she caused people financial hardship during the holiday season, even though she was just following orders. I am a government employee with good benefits and I am dipping my feet into the job market after 11 years. My workplace has just gotten too toxic and is having an adverse effect on my mental health. The final straw is when my director told me I chose my baby over my career and that is why I am not advancing. I complained to HR and although she admitted to saying it, they still informed me that they would take no action against her with no explanation why. My director is hated both internally and externally but her bosses and HR seem to be digging in their heels to protect her—so I am just done. I am so nervous about starting over again after 11 years, but excited to try something different and hoping to find something less mentally draining.

So I decided to try the Facebook dating app. I’m a single mom to a toddler, a part time student, and I work a full-time job. I don’t have time to meet people in real life. I am going in with zero expectations. I would like to find a partner, but am starting to accept that I may be single forever and that’s ok. If all that comes from it is some friendships, that would be cool too. It’s so freeing to not really give a crap either way.
