Taylor: “I left Los Angeles a few months ago a completely different person.” Me: ‘Um, yeah, when you left you were a foot taller, with darker, shorter hair, & your ex was George Clooney, not Bachelor Bob.’ (Side note: I loved RB & Bob together, & I’d personally pick him over Clooney, but I’m not the norm). It’s kinda nice to see Liam grovel & neither woman fight each other to be with him. If Ridge was my husband, I’d be way pissed that his ex-wife was sitting in his lap, straddling him, chakra or not. I’d certainly not be recreating the pose, to turn him on, while asking if his ex-wife did it better.

@CountryGirl, I had to change my reaction from “love” to “ha ha”! Excellent recap. You definitely captured the sweet yet hot.

A Monday with no Steffy is a great start to the week! Hope & Carter were kind of cute / kind of hot. They’re both beautiful, I’m worried they’re too nice, but I’d much rather watch them than to ever-again hear the words “broken heart syndrome” or “destiny” or “my Katie”. At least it’s new & fresh.

If it means bringing Dr. Pacey Witter to BelLA, then yes!

Forgot to post yesterday, but Steffy is literally the biggest bitch on tv, & she’s held up as this strong heroine who does no wrong. How is Taylor any better than Brooke? I know Brooke has made plenty of parenting mistakes ~ Hope being the biggest, obviously ~ but she’s always been accessible to her kids, unlike Taylor who takes off when she sees Ridge & Brooke play kissy-face. How Steffy can form her mouth to say that Brooke is a horrible person & Taylor is a paragon of virtue absolutely blows my mind. Hope should’ve slapped the taste right outta her over-lined mouth for the way she was disrespecting both Brooke & Hope. Broken-heart syndrome might be the dumbest thing this show has ever aired, & that’s saying a lot. She didn’t get that when she lost her child, but she got it when Ridge chose Brooke for the 842nd time?? Make it make sense. $Bill speaking the truth is always good. I hate Groveling $Bill, feisty is far better suited to him.

Teenage Will: “Mom, if you want to get back together with Dad, for yourself, then you should, but not because of me. He’s dicked you over for a decade+, & I want better for you, but if you can forgive & forget, I’ll get on board.” 30-something, married mother, Steffy: “I know that Brooke’s bedroom line is going well, & Dad is really creatively inspired for the first time in a long time, & I think that’s because my Mommy is back in town. She’s the very bestest, & she really makes Dad happy. Brooke who?? Do you think they’ll get back together by Christmas??” I’ve been thinking about how everyone just expects Taylor to up-&-leave. When your heroine is known to leave & stay gone, of her own free will, not because she’s in the military, or in Doctors Without Borders, or anything else that makes sense, she’s really not that committed to “family”.

Steffy, mid-episode, paraphrased: “I appreciate what your line brings, I’d never cut it for personal reasons.” Steffy, end of episode, paraphrased: “Just so you know, I remember you playing kissy-face with my husband at the party for your slut mom’s lingerie line, if you ever look at my property again, I’m cutting your line, so you don’t turn into your hobag mom, am I clear?” I was watching $Bill & Katie today, here’s my take ~ they’re the love of each other’s life. They’ll always love each other, & part of them will always want to be together, but they shouldn’t be, because they continuously bring out the worst in each other, & they’re boring together, which is far worse as a viewer. So, they can support, maybe even pine, but they should agree to love each other, but not be together romantically. I’m kinda glad everyone is over harassing Deacon about Sheila. It’s nice for the Spencer boys to be cool with him. I swear, though, “TomAndHollis” is 1 word in BelLA. Finally, on a personal note, anyone else continually get AARP ads when watching the show? I’m in the Midwest, & I’m starting to take it personally & be offended. 😏

Meant to mention this in my last post, but it’s kind of annoying that we were subjected to months of scenes of RJ being schmoooy, barely any personality, just there in a kids’ t-shirt, filling in the scene, worshipping Luna. But, I genuinely would’ve liked to see his reaction that Luna was not only a killer, but that she framed her mom for the murders, was ickily in love with $Bill, & kidnapped his sister, with the intention of killing her. How could they not show that?? Also, I’m all for forgiveness, but even if Luna was a willing participant in sleeping with Zende, he still knowingly slept with his cousin’s girlfriend. Not cool, no apology hug necessary. Taylor has balls, side-eyeing Hope while she’s playing the happy wife with Brooke’s man (Bridge didn’t remarry, correct?). I’ll say it again, TK absolutely lights up around RB, I wish they would’ve brought her as anyone but drippy Taylor.

When I was watching Brooke yesterday, all I could think of was: if the role was reversed, & Hope & Finn had been happily married parents all of these years, then Steffy kissed Finn, causing all of the chaos that ensued, there is absolutely no way that Taylor, the world-renowned mental health professional, would be dissuading Steffy from perusing Finn, like Brooke was with Hope. She’d encourage Steffy to be there for Finn, & reassure Steffy that it wasn’t her fault for kissing Finn (it’s not Hope’s fault, in my opinion, but I bet she gets blamed), & do whatever she could to ensure Steffy got Hope’s man. I like RB, but I wish she’d come on a new character, Steffy has enough cheerleaders.

I was thinking this morning about how frustrating the pacing of this show is. We have literally an entire show of Finn trying to tell Steffy that Hope kissed him, which I just typed faster, on a phone, than he managed to verbally tell her. Then, Steffy gets locked in a box, to the utter enjoyment of at least 50% of the fans, & they bust her out before they even make at least 1 of the 2 most obvious events happen, to keep the storyline going: Finn should’ve assumed Steffy was gone, & legit fallen for Hope, & he should’ve found out that Luna was his bio-daughter. Both would’ve been storyline fodder for months & months, but both would’ve been predicated on Steffy staying locked up (not as much Luna, but it would’ve added an extra layer). Everyone on this board would do a far better job writing for this show than whom they have.

Bitch in a Box is 1 story I wish they would’ve let drag, so of course they fast-tracked it. Finn busting through the door “heeeeeeeeeere’s Johnny!” Still wish it would’ve been Brooke, Hope, or both to rescue her. Ridge is such an unaware dick. “How could Hope just kiss someone else’s husband??” Well, let’s see, she might’ve kissed Steffy’s husband because Steffy slept with Hope’s husband while they were married. Also, while I love CaRidge 2.0, she was in fact married to Ridge’s brother, & they did far more than kiss. And sanctimonious Taylor, has no room to talk about anyone. I can think of dozens of examples, but they’re both unaware assholes.

Luna, I assume. She went from sticky sweet to baaaaaaad girl in a nanosecond.

Honestly, this is 1 of my very favorite episodes ever. Every single character (save for Steve) changed from the previous year. Brenda is out, Val is in. Kelly & Dylan are out, Kelly & Brandon are in. Dylan is broke, lost Kelly, & lost his family. David & Donna are out, very soon Ray & Claire are in. Andrea is married with a baby. Steve may have shorter hair, but he by far changed the least. Also, I’ve always thought I’m a Kelly/Dylan shipper, as unpopular as that is, but, honestly, I think I much prefer them pining for each other as opposed to being together. I loved them in the Summer of Deception, the Kelly vs Brenda over Dylan era, & right at the beginning of them dating. Then, I got bored, but I loved when Kelly was first dating Brandon & Dylan found out & tracked down “Blondie & the Boy Scout” at Donna’s debutante debut, boots on the table & all. Then, when Dylan offered the trip around the world, the “I choose me” episode, I loved them again. Just saying, when they weren’t together, but at least 1 was clearly pining, I’m all in

I don’t think the Finn actor is award-worthy, & probably never will be, but he is SO much better in scenes that aren’t schmoooy, lovey-dovey, or cowering in fear of his bitch wife. He was good in the mad scenes after the Hope kiss, stupid as that storyline was, & he’s good in scenes with DD, as are most actors. Get him away from JMW & let’s see. I think Luna suddenly being in love with $Bill is “lunacy”, but I’m not sure she’s really in love with him or just the status & adoration he heaps on her. I legit think she was into RJ at the beginning, although the “best sex ever, Zende” makes me wonder. But, if anyone with a pulse had to choose between RJ & $Bill, I can’t fathom a category RJ wins, except age. $Bill is as charming as they come, prettier than any woman, rich as sin, & puts his women on pedestals, often to his own detriment. I can’t fathom choosing RJ if $Bill is an option. ETA: I don’t at all think $Bill is romantically interested in Luna, at all, I think he’s grossed-out by her kisses, but I think she’s convinced herself that getting Poppy behind bars has opened up her chance.

The world must be spinning on its’ axis, because I agreed with Ridge, of all people, today. First of all, when he said Steffy can take time if she needs it, but she has responsibilities & can’t be unreachable (paraphrased). She’s the CEO & far more importantly, a mother, she can’t just disappear & lose contact. Later, not only did he sympathize with $Bill, but he accurately described parenting to RJ ~ my kids are still young, but if I don’t know where they are every second, I’m frantic. I can only imagine how they’ll ramp up when they get older & are far less dependent on me. Then, he blew it when he called Steffy a badass. She’s not a badass, she’s a spoiled (spellcheck changed that to “soiled” & it made me chuckle, so I almost kept it 🤣) brat, an unrepentant bully, & a flat-out hypocrite. But for a minute, there, Ridge & I were 2000-era Justin & Lance. Finally, I actually felt sorry for RJ today. He is boring, but he’s a nice character, so far. He’s going to be devastated that not only is Luna a killer who framed her own mother, but she killed 2 people & framed her mom so she could stay in $Bill’s orbit.

Damn, I’ve always thought Finn was a legit decent dude. But, I undervalued him, dude is a saint. For Liam of all people, to lecture Finn about leading Hope to the conclusion that he wanted her to kiss him, is asinine. I can’t even begin with Liam, but the fact that Finn didn’t take out a scalpel & cut him to pieces puts Finn in sainthood category, as far as I’m concerned. I’m hoping that once this all plays out, Finn will get a little crazy like his nutter mother, Sheila, & his nutter daughter, Luna. Luna is a far better character as a bad girl (spellcheck changed “bad” to “bar”, & I almost left it since she’s a bar-murdering girl). It doesn’t quite math, but I don’t care, it’s a better reveal than I expected. If karma is a boomerang, Steffy will be rescued by either Brooke or Hope. 🤞🤞

There’s a lot to unpack yet again today. First, mad Finn is the best (acting) Finn. TN really shows the mad emotion better than anything else. But, geez, it was a kiss, Steffy had to have a paternity test to prove that Liam wasn’t the father of the child she conceived while happily dating Finn. It wasn’t cool of Hope to kiss him, but Finn has forgiven farrrrrrr worse. Brooke’s shirt reminds me of salmon sushi. Now, the important stuff...Steffy in a cage. So, our family adopted a big dog, & we ordered the kennel from Amazon. It was big, not human-sized big, but big. I was going to surprise my husband & put it together on my own. I’m much older & sadly larger than 85-lb Luna, & I couldn’t get a pre-made kennel together alone (Hubs had it together in less than 30 minutes). How does 85-lb Luna drag all of the pieces for a handmade cell, & put it together in record time, while Steffy naps?? Plus, move all of the furniture to make room? It’s baffling that in all of this story, I’m fixating on the illogical nature of the quickly-constructed cage. I do like that they didn’t drag it out & straight told us that Luna killed both men. She’s batshit, I like this interesting version better than the original Hope Wannabe. I swear, I will forever pledge my undying loyalty to whatever Luna likes, if she utters the word “gondola” to Steffy. Poppy, too, if Luna gets a reel of Hope & Finn kissing for Steffy to watch while trapped. 😏

OMG, I don’t like Luna, but bad Luna is far more interesting. I didn’t think she had the chops to murder 2 people, set up the murderer to be her mom, & go in on $Bill hardcore. Not an awful surprise, at least it was unpredictable for the most part. Clearly it’ll come out that Finn is Luna’s dad, so she’ll have to let Steffy go. Per the previews, Steffy in a cage is interesting, as is Katie lunching with Deacon & Sheila. I’m liking the lack-of-predictability lately, Taylor’s boner for Logans vs Forresters notwithstanding.

I don’t think Brooke is defending Hope’s actions, at all, but when it goes public, I think Brooke will defend her daughter, & her very out-of-character behavior. She’s disappointed in Hope’s actions, but she’ll be on her side once it’s the Logan’s vs Forresters, round 839. Yes, dang auto-correct, but I corrected. 😏

Just making sure that I understand … If you cheat on your partner, with your ex, & he forgives you, it’s no biggie. If you then later kiss that same person you cheated with, while still married to the person you cheated on, & choose not to tell your spouse, even though it happened twice, once in the house you share, also ok. If your husband is minding his bidness, & your frenemy (who was technically married to the person you cheated with & kissed twice) kisses him once in public, they’re both the devil, & they’ll both get your wrath, because you’re the victim. Did I miss anything?? Cheating sucks all around, but Steffy is no saint. Taylor is way too up in Forrester business. I thought she was a mental health professional? Finally, TK straight lit UP working with RB. Lit UP. This Steffy/Finn/Hope triangle is going to separate Bridge & reunite Tridge, I’m guessing. Although, Brooke is adamantly against it, she’ll defend her daughter.

Lot to unpack today…Luna is totally Sheila’s granddaughter, she went from sticky sweet, to Mackenzie Phillips, back to sticky sweet, in a matter of seconds. Poppy constantly talking about being framed, Luna had access to everything, she’s our killer, I think, which I honestly didn’t see coming. Gah, Taylor is the last person who should be giving mental health advice. When she’s spent 10 minutes with her bulldozer daughter, & says “I think Steffy has been outnumbered by Brooke & Hope.” Way to perpetuate your daughter as the victim & continue the never-ending feud. I really like RB, but total miscast. She should’ve come in as a new character, or someone who’s not Taylor. Finally, Steffy, who has slept with Liam while in a committed relationship with Finn, & kisses Liam twice within the year (which Finn still doesn’t know about), hears that Hope kissed Finn & jumps all over Finn for kissing Hope. He clearly, repeatedly said “Hope kissed me…” but bully Steffy has to be the victim. Mommy must be so proud.

Um, I didn’t see that Luna kiss coming. 15 minutes prior, she was calling him “Dad” & in a matter of minutes, she kisses him & acts all seductive? Gross. Taylor & Steffy look like sorority sisters, not mother & daughter. RB has gorgeous skin, I’m already jealous of her. Steffy is far madder about a kiss than she expected Hope to be during Hopequinn night, which required her 2nd in-utero paternity swab.

Finn is so frustrating, because whether he sees it or not, he’s in an abusive marriage. When 1 partner has all of the power over the other, & shames the other partner if challenged, that’s abuse. That’s all she does. She’s horrible to him, not tolerant at all about his conflicting emotions regarding his bio mom, & just demands him to be at her beck and call. Then, 10 minutes later, after I feel bad for his spousal abuse, I want to kick him squarely in his teeth. Hope was outta line (although, as stated above, he did initially respond), but for him to be so indignant about how it’d make Steffy feel is rage-inducing. I know that he doesn’t know that Liam kissed Steffy twice last summer, because she conveniently hasn’t told him that, but he damn well knows that she slept with Liam, because she had to have a paternity test run for their son. I’m all for honesty, but Steffy is no paragon of virtue. I get that he’s uncomfortable with Hope kissing him, but don’t act like Steffy is anyone’s victim. I’m also blown away at Steffy’s sudden victimhood because of Brooke. I’ve only been back together with B&B for like 13 years, but in that time, I never recall Brooke being horrible to Steffy (possibly in regards to the Liam triangle, but that was more about supporting Hope than beating Steffy). Now Steffy is sooooooo relieved that Brooke & Hope aren’t going to interfere in her life. Steffy always wins, I don’t get the pouty, sadness because Brooke’s Bedroom is skyrocketing.

They’re on for (I think) 2 episodes, today & tomorrow! In the previews from last week, Danny was singing “Rock On”, which I presume will occur tomorrow. @CountryGirl is our screenshot expert, maybe she can grab a few!

I was watching Steffy today, & all I could think of is that she’s this generation’s Nellie Olsen ~ the Harriet’s daughter with the bitch curls version, not the Perceval’s wife with the kinder mom bun version. She was so condescending to Brooke right up until her speech, which was legit nice, so I’m waiting for the angle. 2 things stuck out, both having to do with Brooke’s age… 1. I genuinely like the concept of an older model selling lingerie. Granted I’m 20 years younger & wouldn’t look as good as her even if I never ate again, but she’s technically at an advanced age for a typical model. But, that goodwill kinda goes to the wayside when her chief rival is aged down about 15 years IRL. 2. When a model is being applauded for modeling at an older age, & her 30-something daughter & stepdaughter are in attendance, maybe best to not repeatedly tell the also-aging rockstar that you used to jam out to his albums when you were growing up. I’d rather keep Danny & Cricket (my 80s Y&R-loving ❤️ loves that he still calls her that) than Poppy & RJ (or Luna & RJ).
