  1. Other than her flying nun outfit, I actually still like Vicki this season. She's been kind of rising above all the BS. I felt for her when her daughter moved. Her son in law looks like he's close to stepping off the curb - there is so much anger in his eyes when he even looks at Vicki. Same with Briana. Tamra and her Medusa hair in the talking head need to head back to Salem's Lot with Eminem. Her son's "health scare" was peanuts compared to the fact that he's been injected himself with drugs for years. His iron diagnosis really isn't something as scary as say - thyroid cancer and lymphoma - like Briana was thought to have. Tamra is trying to concoct this story in order to defend the fact that her son is a total freak. Heather and Terry are so completely insecure that it's almost comical to watch. David and his construction business make Terry shake in his scrubs, and he hates him for that. Also, since when is "penis" a term that's exclusive to plastic surgeons? I thought that was just, I don't know, a term that everyone else on the planet used?
  2. Honestly, I'm quite stunned by all the comments about Vicki's weight. She's over 50 and I think she looks great! Clearly she exercises and watches what she eats, but she's not a tiny woman. So what? I do agree that by dressing properly she could flatter herself much more than she does. Honestly, some of the clothing she wears wouldn't flatter any figure.
  3. Well gee, when you compare the antics of Real Housewives to real problems like Hitler, Ebola, and racism - they have no reason to be on television at all. I think we're all aware that these are small potatoes in the grand scheme of things, but you can't argue that their antics in Bali don't really do much to improve the perception of Americans. That's all I'm saying, anyway.
  4. I guess the Major League dream is over for the Keoughs...
  5. It was Spencer's birthday - they were having a water balloon fight and Tamra jumped onto Ryan and straddled him with her legs. Something else that bothered me about the Barneys - does anyone remember when they took the Havasu trip with Vicki and Tamra was grabbing Simon's crotch on the boat? Simon said something like, "I told the young girls back there not to touch me, you can't touch me either." I mean, he was talking about their friend's daughters, for heaven's sake. Who says that? That was right before Tamra asked if they could buy a boat and Simon said, "yeah, if you blow me." I think it's highly laughable that he tried to come across as this beacon of class and dignity. Nice try. The skeleton was out of that closet from the get-go, and her name was Tamra Sue.
  6. You know what? It really bothers me in retrospect that Vicki hired Ashley - and Lauri for that matter. Now she probably did that in part because they wanted to be on the show, but I can't imagine, had the roles been reversed, that Lauri would ever do something like that for Vicki. Vicki has her faults, but she does seem to care about people. Certain people. I remember in Season 3 when Jeana Keough's son, Colton, was having some behavioral problems, and Vicki invited him to Havasu and said something like, "he just needs to come and get on a jet ski and blow off some steam." Again, I can't imagine other castmates extending generosity that way.
  7. DeeplyShallow, I remember that episode well and it bothering me (dare I say it) MORE than the "Naked Wasted" episode. Tamra and her family were having dinner at some dumpy place near where her father lived. Ryan was sitting next to Tamra's cousin who was at least 20 years his senior. She asked if he'd like to see the tattoo of a mouse she had on her hip. He said okay, then when she moved her pants to show him, Ryan said "I can't see anything" to which she replied "oh, the puss must have eaten it." Now that's a highly inappropriate conversation to have with anyone unless you are about to jump their bones - but to say something like that to your younger cousin? Yeah, there was some serious trauma in that family.
  8. I hated the elephants - I really don't like seeing any animal exploited for stupid tourists, especially these women. The thing about the check was strange - I don't think I've ever heard any of the housewives talk about picking up the tab, save for the infamous Bethenny/Luanne snark during the early seasons of RHNY. I feel like there's something wrong with Christian. He and Lizzie just seem strange to me - I get that she comes off as sweet and enthusiastic and whatever else, but he just seems emotionally checked out all the time. I don't know. This show is really going down the tubes. And yeah - what was up with all the makeup and eyelashes for a 23-hour flight? Can you say dehydrated skin?
  9. Wait, what? Sorry to be dense, but can someone flesh this out for me? How did they sign contracts behind Jeana's back if they are all part of the same show?
  10. lol at Quinn's website! Who are all those people under the "family" section? And the music!
  11. I can't think of a person who starts their own business and takes three vacations in the same year. Most people wouldn't dream of doing that, particularly since there is no built-in vacation time when you own the place -- and it's not like you can afford to close down the building while you frolic in the tropics.
  12. Also - Tamra is going on a honeymoon and Heather is celebrating 15 years of marriage. Yet they are going away without their husbands. That makes sense. I really didn't need to hear all the sex talk between these women. Seriously, my mom is in her 50s and I can't imagine her and her friends speaking this way. Heck, I'm 30 and I don't talk about this stuff in mixed company, but maybe I'm a prude. Also - I must have missed the flashback to Briana and Ryan bc I didn't see it in this episode.
  13. What's the Pepsi challenge? I can't believe LIzzie actually went through with that party even though no one showed up. Seriously? I actually think Shannon is an attractive woman, but her schoolmarm personality and strange plastic surgery certainly don't help. I liked her until her comment about the potato. First off - if you hate the fact that your husband is from the Midwest, then why did you marry him? In my experience, if you start a relationship on the basis of resentment, it never really gets better. Just embrace your differences and move on. It reminds me of two friends of mine - she's a chain smoker and her husband despises cigarettes. There is a continual loathing that is always present in their relationship that nothing can fix. And since when is it bad for a girl to have a baked potato every day? What the hell? God forbid they grow up to be strong, healthy women who don't think deprivation is the ultimate way of life. Has anyone else noticed that Vicki's given up her signature drink?
  14. Is Quinn's son out of the closet again? She was okay, but sometimes I think she was in denial about her looks and age. Ashley and Laurie sure had a strange relationship. I think that out of everyone, she wins the award for worst parent in the world. Kara Keough's husband isn't playing football right now, is he? It's only a matter of time before she starts popping out the kids like her mom.
  15. Totally agree about Tamra's impending doom. I highly doubt her gym is bringing in enough money to afford her current lifestyle. I wonder how much money Simon is giving her for alimony - although he did quit his white collar job at Mercedes to sell tequila, so I'm willing to bet he's not exactly raking it in, either. I really can't stand it when people depend on others for employment. So far, Ryan's employment includes Mercedes Benz (for which which I'm sure Simon needed to beg, borrow, and steal in order to set up), Eddie's lawfirm, Tamra's gym, and now his wife's gun store? What a winner. For me, all I can think of when I see him is his face in the talking head during Season 3 when he said it was better that his girlfriend miscarried because they were no longer together. I just still can't get over that. Also, am I the only one who finds Lizzy really unattractive? And I'm no plastic surgeon, but I really doubt that she has natural breasts. There's no way in hell that after having two kids, she would be able to go bra-less in some of those tight dresses she wears.
  16. Oh shoot, I missed it then! Thanks for the info! They really should put those online...
  17. I think I missed something - where was the flashback to Ryan and Briana? And I can't believe I'm asking this, but where are the "first look" videos? Is that just the Bravo clip of the upcoming episode, or something separate?
  18. Terri reminds me a bit of Andy Cohen. Albeit closeted gay and seems to really dislike women. Heather doesn't care. All she cares about is that no one messes up her hair.
  19. Simon is the male version of the evil stepmother. I actually feel bad for Ryan, as he probably had little structure growing up. Tamra seems to have sexualized their relationship and enabled him behind Simon's back. Poor kid seems to have no self esteem and some serious rage. That's a ticking time bomb if I ever saw one. And now he's about to move into the boonies to work in a gun store? I find it funny that Tamra is so upset to have him moving away after she sent him to move with his grandmother at 12/13/whenever. And for some reason, the hemochromatosis that Ryan now has seems fishy to me. I actually thought that I had that last year, but it was a fluke in my bloodwork. My doctor said that usually there are signs for that type of disease throughout your life, and that it's highly unlikely to just "appear" out of nowhere. I'm not sure what his medical history has been, but... I don't know. This hits a nerve for me as a close friend of mine just lost their best friend to suicide with a gun. He was about Ryan's age, too. Heather and Terri are on my last nerve. Every time Heather speaks, all I can think of is "Oh. My. God. Becky, look at her butt...." Her affect is just so irritating. And Terri just wants to be a little Miss. He should just stay at work as far as I'm concerned - go do some pro bono work and get over yourself. I hate to say this, but Vicki looks a lot happier with Brooks. Who knows what the truth is regarding his abusive tendencies, but my observation thus far is that he's a boozer who might run his mouth when he's had a few, but otherwise? Doesn't seem like a danger to me, but who knows. On a lighter note, I can't help laughing every time I see poor Dr. Moon. My cat's name is Moondog so it always makes me chuckle a bit.
  20. I don't think Simon ever paid for Ryan's apartment - he said that he was going to offer to help him, but I never saw that carried out. The next time we saw Ryan on the show, he claimed to have been supporting himself through his job at a construction company, or some such. Anyway, it doesn't really matter. If I were Tamra, I'd be concerned that my impulsive and angry son moved out at such a young age out of spite, or anger, or both. But she's not the most empathetic human being in the world... PS: Why is Ryan copying Briana's storyline from last season?
  21. Amen to this! It always made me sick to my stomach how that was all portrayed. Ryan moved out at what? 16 or 17 years old and Simon didn't want him back at the house? My former stepfather was definitely of the mind that I should move out so he could have the house to himself when he married my mom. I can't imagine as a child being thrown out like that because of my mom's new boyfriend. I don't blame him for heading for the hills. Call me wacko but I actually thought Sarah seemed fairly docile during the dinner. She definitely seems like a tough cookie, although I question any women with three young children who immediately lets a man move into their house. And it raised a huge red flag for me when she said something to the effect of "they like Ryan more than me, I'm jealous." I sure as hell wouldn't let anyone who I've only known for a month be alone with my three little girls, but that might just be me.
  22. AND when she was throwing her hissy fit during the dinner with Ryan's fiance, she actually said "Shoot me." WHAT? Are you f-ing kidding me?
  23. For some reason, my posts don't always show up. Anyway, wow. Just finished the episode and have to say that Tamra is one of the most frightening people I have ever seen on reality television. I've known she was scum since naked wasted, etc. etc. but her face during those drunken diatribes are just too scary to watch. That is one sick puppy. If I were her ex, I'd lobby for full custody of those children. What is wrong with her face? She looks like she got stung by bunch of wasps. Briana looks like shit. Interesting that she admitted to the fact that she's using the Brooks situation to "get back at" her mom. She always plays the victim and it really, really pushes my buttons for some reason. ETA: I know others have mentioned this, but I still can't believe that Tamra asked Ryan's fiance how her father killed himself. Oh my gosh...
  24. Ryan looks like a dropout from Duck Dynasty who's been using meth for 10 years. And Tamra looks like a menopausal duck. It bothered me when Tamra told Sarah to "take care of" Ryan. Really? Isn't a man supposed to take care of his wife, too? What the hell? I can't stand Briana. Sorry, I think she's a miserable shrew who has learned how to be a professionally enabled person. I'm not quite sure what happened in her life to get her to this point, but I think she and her brother grew up in a very sick household.
