Well, I do love it when we talk things out.

Not really, I'd rather watch when The Yoko Factor hits. Anyway, in the interest of moving things along, and because I previously started a lynch against him, will someone please change my vote from JayKay to Drogo? We know who he is, so let's see if this time it'll take. We need to send that lopsided fashion victim back to whatever hell-dimension will take her.

I'd do it myself, but I'm on my iPad and have been having a lot of trouble with some responses in here lately.

In the essence of helping the heroes, which is what our job as heroes is supposed to be, I have decided to return, even if it's with my tail between my legs.  I am a hero, and I am wrought with sadness about my sweet Buffy, and I am thinking her death will never ever be avenged.

 

I sense an agenda developing.  I seem to have been ridiculed in my liking habits, as well as my suspicions.  I would like to remind everyone that is left that every time I have changed my mind, I have given reasons for my change.  And I have done it with grace.

 

I find it a little more than interesting that caprice has now come back, after she blasted me for changing my mind about JayKay and changed her vote to Drogo.  I am thinking that they (the villains) are not wanting JayKay to be dead as of yet as her death will most likely fit in nicely with my reasoning from before.  They know that going after Drogo again wont amount to anything, in fact Drogo has mentioned it more than once already ... am I the only one seeing how cocky he is about not being ready to die?

 

I don't know how this day got extended without mod intervention, and that could turn out to be unfair for either team, but in any case, I am not changing my vote because no one has offered any other explanation, and if you can't see what I am seeing as far as game play, I honestly don't know what else to do.

 

I will now return to my grief.

Day 8 - Bad Times
Behind the LA Dollhouse
Mike crawled into the alley, all the while evaluating his systems, taking in the status reports, balancing what he needed to do to keep himself alive. He realized he need to get somewhere safe, somewhere he could recharge, make sure he could keep his essential systems online. “Ace,” he murmured, as he pushed himself into a dark corner, back against the wall, trying to recalibrate to his existing situation. “I’ve gotta make sure my boy is safe…”

Footsteps echoed against the walls, and Mike instinctively drew back, trying to quiet the noises his added parts gave, the whirrs and the twings. When he looked up and saw the figure standing before him, his still-human heart sank. “Well, hello there, Mike! How ya doing there, buddy!” John Garrett boomed, as he lowered himself into a squatting position before Mike.

Mike knew this was bad. Really bad. He’d tried so hard to be good. He wanted to be good, he wanted to be with his son. He hoped that the friends he’d made, even though he’d betrayed them in the worst way, he still hoped they would realize it was only in an effort to help them.

“Garrett,” he rasped, his one working arm rising towards the man. “Hmmm, what was that, Mike?” Garrett mocked gently. Mike’s hand reached for Garrett’s throat, and Garrett playfully batted his arm away. “Mike, I think you’re at the end of your usefulness for us. I think it’s time to shut you down,” Garrett said solemnly. Mike reached deep within his programming, his brain, and his heart. He sent a message, he hoped would reach his remaining friends. Then he looked Garrett in the eye.

“Bring it on, you son of a bitch,” Mike ground out. And with that, Garrett put a bullet into Deathlok’s brain. And Mike Peterson was finally at peace.

Rossum Headquarters
Glory looked over the plans for the remote wipers one last time. “Boyd didn’t say ya needed to be a genius to be able to read these,” she muttered to herself. Luckily she’d gotten the cooperation of several Rossum employees who had been in on their leader’s scheme.

And it helped that they thought she was a co-leader. She had done as Boyd had told her - just tell everyone that she was the so-called Clive now. So Glory was pretending to be a human man stuck in a human woman’s body, when really she was a hell goddess stuck in a human man’s body...it was very confusing. Glory shook her head to clear it.

“Sir? We’re ready to begin,” a slightly terrified-looking employee said. “Sir!?” Glory snapped back; even with all her quirks, she did appreciate being recognized for the attractive woman that she was. Then she remembered. “Oh, right. Uh, damn right you call me sir. Initiate and maintain the mental adjuster.” The employee gave Glory a blank look. She dropped her chin, giving him an unimpressed look. “Just go.”

The man nodded and scurried back to his desk. Glory grinned as she thought about what was going to happen. Humans were about to have their reliance on technology used against them. A call was going to go out to all phones within the city called Sunnydale. Anyone who picked up would be under Rossum’s control, and they would be ordered to search for those that were not under the spell. Whether or not The Key answered, it would be unaffected.

Really, it was a genius plan. Glory prepared herself to go help search Sunnydale herself. She wouldn’t wait to get her hands on it...and bleed it dry.

NPC-Bennett Halverson, a HERO. Could have killed you with her brain, if Joss didn’t so enjoy killing characters in front of their loved ones
NPC-Joyce Summers, a HERO. She was a good mom.
Oinky Boinky-Buffy Summers, a HERO and LOVER. The Slayer and a damn good one. Her nemesis-turned-ally Faith brought her first love Angel back to her. Could communicate with ANGEL outside of the game.
TMunz-Cordelia Chase, a HERO and SEER. Had changed since she was last in Sunnydale, and was still learning to work with her new gift. A reformed ‘mean girl,’ the snark remained strong with her. Was told each Night via her visions where the clues in the previous two stories were.
egavasc-Ian Quinn, a VILLAIN and JUST A PRETTY FACE. A rich and powerful enemy of SHIELD. He had become a part of Rossum’s plans to take over the world. Without any exceptional skills, however, he mainly paid for things and helped scheme.
MarkHB-Echo/Caroline Farrell, a HERO and JACK OF ALL TRADES. All of her various imprints had left her with many skills. Each Night, had the option of gaining an extra life, doing a full investigation, or protecting someone else. Each of these powers was ONLY 1 use each. (That is, if she used the extra life and was attacked that Night, she would survive but could not use the extra life again.)
Athena-Lilah Morgan, a VILLAIN and DEALMAKER. As Vice President of Special Projects at Wolfram & Hart, handled a lot of shady dealings. Had a contentious relationship with Angel Investigations in the past, but had been known to put feelings aside to work for a ‘greater good.’ Of course, it WAS her definition of ‘greater good’ so YMMV! Had an extra 'anonymous' vote to cast for Day lynches; could PM it to us during the time the Day lynch was taking place. (This was in addition to her original vote under her screen name.)
Lisin-Wesley Wyndham-Price, a HERO and EMPATH. As a former member of the Watchers Council, he had seen more than his share of paranormal events. Was adjusting to being the ‘right hand’ at Angel Investigations, and sometimes struggled with holding back from taking the lead. Each Night, could PM us to find out the alignment of another player.
Dougal-Boyd Langton, a VILLAIN and HANDLER. Started working at the L.A. Dollhouse but was actually the head of Rossum, trying to take over the world. His work as a handler for actives led him to become quite protective of those he worked with. Each Night, could PM us the name of 1 other person to protect from harm (via kill that Night and DL the next Day). Could not protect the same person twice in a row.
Lady Calypso-Skye, a HERO and IDENTITY INVESTIGATOR. A hacker that was great at research of public knowledge. Each Night, could PM us the name of someone she’d like to investigate, and we would tell her their identity but not their alignment. She had to judge that for herself.
SilverStormm-Grant Ward, a RECRUITABLE HERO. The shady member of Coulson’s team. Had a lot of loyalty to John Garrett, his original Superior Officer. If he sought out Ward to work with him (investigated him), Ward would join the Villains.
NPC-Whiskey, a VILLAIN. Mainly included because TJ wanted ONE of Amy Acker’s roles in the game.
Jesse-Melinda May, a HERO and PROTECTOR. She was the Cavalry, first into a fight and all-around badass. Each Night, could PM us the name of someone else she’d like to protect from death for that Night and from DL the next Day. Could not protect the same person twice in a row.
JayKay-Mike Peterson/Deathlok, an ANTI-HERO and VIGILANTE. Used to be a normal guy, but his dealings with SHIELD left him scarred and with cybernetic enhancements. Tried to be a HERO this time, and had 3 Night kills to use during the game. But since he’s not really on the side of good, he would be seen as a VILLAIN to those who investigated him.

You have 36 hours for Day; the shorter day is to keep the game moving, so discuss! There is one clue in the story.

Right now, aside from the obvious (*glares at Drogo*), it seems like the only other villain in the game is Garrett. As it stands, my prime suspects are BizBuzz and Machiabelly, with SVNBob and caprice as possibilities. And the closest thing I could find to a clue in the game was....

I have been cleared, MULTIPLE times, as I have talked about the LOVE of my life being killed on the very first night ... everyone in the game has cleared me, including who I think is Garrett (caprice) when she said here:

I'd like your buzz stuff more if I wasn't pretty sure I'd sussed out who she is. Biz isn't exactly good with the subtle.

Even someone I consider a villain, who had powers to investigate me ... cleared me.

So good try there TCS ... and Machiabelly ... after I said you were one of the good guys ... et tu my friend?

Does anyone else not see that I was saying that JayKay wasn't the one to DL ... I pretty much explained that during yesterDay ... and look at that, I was right.

I believe that the villains knew that JayKay was Deathlok and that they planned to nightkill her anyway, so caprice jumped off the DL of her to make herself less suspicious once JayKay was proved not to be a villain.

I am SHOCKED that they let me live (I don't think I will be so lucky tonight) ... although killing me, a hero, would have then proven everything else I said was right.

Anyway ... what can I say? We were robbed of a lynch during yesterDay ... is that going to happen again?

I don't think so ... I had a nice long break so I am ready to come out fighting again ... as anyone that has lost the love of their life in a horrible way would do ... I need to avenge Buffy, damnit.

I combed and recombed the story ... and beside the fact that I have already nabbed caprice with musical clues from before, and not withstanding that Bad Time(s) is a song ... I found this and this (Caprice and Ace are characters in this game). I am basing it on this section of toDay's story.

Coincidence? I don't know. But it's what I got to start a lynch.

PLEASE, I beg of you, don't let this day end in another stalemate. As my sweet Buffy once said ... I don't have time to explain this. You just have to trust me.

Since we only have 36 hours ... and since we got nowhere yesterDay even with more than 48 hours, I am starting early.

Fair enough ... then I ask you ... you think Machiabelly is Garrett?  What has he done or said to lead you to that conclusion?

I think Caprice is Spike.

And furthermore ... speaking from a mods point of view (since I am co-modding the next game) ... I would think that if Spike was a genuine character in game play (and not a NPC), he would have gotten a much bigger role in the stories ... instead, we have him appearing in only 3 stories (out of the 14 stories we have gotten), and I must say in a very non-player sort of way.  In fact, the mere fact that the mods of this game have chosen to use so many NPC's makes it very easy for villains to claim people they are not.

 

So yeah, I believe caprice is playing a little game with you, fooling you into thinking that she is Spike, and I can only hope you will not live (or die) to regret it.

So, the way I figure it, we're down to six heroes and two villains. Obviously, Garrett and Glory (*again, glares at Drogo*) are the last two bad guys, and I know for absolute fact that Willow and Tara are two of the heroes. And judging by the last few stories, I'm fairly certain that the other four are Faith, Angel, Giles, and Coulson, with Adele and Gunn being likely substitutes.

Notice who's not on that list? A certain bleached-blonde vamp from Manchester who hasn't appeared once in the last four stories, and who caprice has been heavily implying is her character. So yeah....

On the one hand I guess I'm glad you think I'm interesting, while on the other hand I apologize for giving you the impression I was blasting and ridiculing you. Neither was my intent. Why did I change my vote? I thought I stated rather clearly that I was changing my vote from JayKay to Drogo in order to bring us closer to completing a lynch. I certainly wasn't going to vote for myself!

 

Oh, and no, you're not the only one who notices how cocky he's becoming.

 

As far as yesterDay being extended, I've added italics to your original statement to offer my suggestion as to how that happened. If nobody steps in to stop discussion, why not keep it going?

 

While both good choices, one of these DLs is much more attractive to me since I thought for sure based on past info this person's death would have to be my doing.   I don't want to vote, because I want you all to decide which one of you dies, and my vote is probably going to send others running from my chosen DL which is obviously counterproductive.  

Hmm, if you're referring to Lisin having said she believed me to be a hero, I wonder why you didn't take me out overnight.

Bonus points for use of "onomatopoeia," but the fact that Deathlok had cybernetic components, I'd have accepted the noises as our co-mods being properly descriptive. Besides, as has already been pointed out, only one person here has suspected Biz after Day Two.

Back to the current Glorious game... My vote will not change.  The only diabolical plan I have is to kill each and every player that isn't myself... and that plan's going swimmingly thus far.   

 

Can we just assume that photo is going to vote with Spruce and close the Day?
