radishcake May 21, 2014 Share May 21, 2014 Hey guys! I thought we'd try a liveblog topic for the finale tonight. This topic will be live for the start at 8pm EST & close at 10pm EST. 1 Link to comment
truthaboutluv May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I'll start. Some people on twitter just pointed out that Tony and Kass weren't seen in the green room while Spencer and Woo were there. Some are thinking that's a sign that Kass and Tony are final two and are isolated from the others. I can see that. I think Spencer is winning this Final 4 challenge and loses the last challenge as I've suspected for weeks now. The only immunity challenge Tony will win, is the last one. Now watch me be wrong. riley702 May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Why would Probst show all the castaways sitting in the green room live? Fuck Woo. Is he trying to tell us he wins this next IC with all of his pointing to himself? Or is he just a jackass looking for attention? I hope you're wrong. Link to comment
LizBug May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I saw Kass in the green room but didn't see Tony. Maybe he went for a potty break. Link to comment
truthaboutluv May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Oh okay. I would say the show would not be so sloppy but they've been a bit sloppy with their editing and promos. Meanwhile Spencer's sister is adorable. I vote next Blood vs. Water pairing. 1 Link to comment
riley702 May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) Hey, Spencer coming off the pole is a good thing, not a loss! Even if Tony is off first, he sucks at puzzles. Go, Spencer! Tony can't swim? Or jump off a pole? Pfffft! Edited May 22, 2014 by riley702 Link to comment
truthaboutluv May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) Holy shit...Kass was the come from behind immunity win. Surprised Spencer screwed that up. It seemed pretty simple. I had a feeling Spencer might be going when they showed his comment to his sister that if he was voted off, he could go knowing he did everything he could. ElleryAnne May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I'm not a fan of hers, but damn, that was an impressive comeback by Kass. 1 Link to comment
riley702 May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 What? She just got the key on my broadcast. Are you ahead of that? Link to comment
Wandering Snark May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I can't believe Kass won, and I did not see her or Tony in the green room so I still think they spoiled their final two... Spencer calling her a braindead weasel is a little much... Link to comment
silverwings May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Oh gosh. The one person who was going to make F3 without winning was Kass, and she won. Fingers crossed Spencer can get Woo and Kass to call Tony's bluff. I found Kass (2nd row), Spencer (1st row) and Woo (final row) in the green room, but no Tony. I swear if Tony wins it may ruin the entire season for me. I want Spencer to win, but I'll take ABT. Link to comment
LizBug May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Bet Tony didn't expect that win. Want to see what Spencer says /does to try to stay in the game. Link to comment
onthebrink03 May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) I can't believe Kass won, and I did not see her or Tony in the green room so I still think they spoiled their final two... No, Kass was in the green room. I have to give her credit. That was a masterful come from behind. Shit! Edited May 22, 2014 by onthebrink03 Link to comment
riley702 May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) Yeah, your broadcast is definitely ahead of mine. Spencer just said braindead weasel. I'm out of here because of that. Edited May 22, 2014 by riley702 Link to comment
truthaboutluv May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) The moment I read the episode summary about the bitter jury, I knew Tony and Kass would be the Final 2 - on one side are all the people who dislike Kass and on the other side, those who felt betrayed by Tony. If Spencer does leave now which seems a no-brainer, unless Woo wins final immunity he is done because no way either Kass or Tony takes Woo to the end. Yeah Spencer's best chance is to somehow convince Kass and Woo that they have no chance against Tony and call his fake idol bluff. Edited May 22, 2014 by truthaboutluv Link to comment
Wandering Snark May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Ahh I guess I was panicking and distracted by Woo when trying to find Kass. Link to comment
susannot May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Kass and Spencer need to bluff Tony into playing his super-idol, fruitlessly, in front of the jury. That would make him look like an ass. Spencer needed to swear to Tony that he would take him to F2 if he wins. Link to comment
silverwings May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Man, I am too invested in Spencer getting through. I hope Tony believes him that it's F2, because I thought Spencer made a very good point. 1 Link to comment
Wandering Snark May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Yeah I can't type and keep up with what's going on, see you later in the reg. thread... Link to comment
truthaboutluv May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 How many maxie dresses does Morgan have? Also, what the hell was Woo trying to say... Link to comment
ElleryAnne May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) And there's the light bulb, going on over Tony's head. ETA: Damn. Good-bye Spencer. See you on the next all-stars. Edited May 22, 2014 by ElleryAnne Link to comment
bluebonnet May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I definitely yelled "noooooooooooooooo" at my TV. I kept holding onto hope. I didn't realize how much I enjoyed Spencer. 1 Link to comment
silverwings May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Damn. Kass or Woo for the win? But I see Tony has this in the bag. Hope (if they are doing it) Spencer wins Fan Favorite. Link to comment
susannot May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I'll bet it plays out just like Spencer predicted. Spencer will be invited back. I really enjoyed his game this season. Of the remaining 3 (don't throw things at me) I'm rooting for Kass. Link to comment
onthebrink03 May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Ah man, I thought Spencer had done it. I thought that lightbulb finally went off and Tony got what Spencer was trying to tell him. I do hope they bring Spencer back for an All Stars. My God is he scrappy! 1 Link to comment
truthaboutluv May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) Tony's light bulb moment was hilarious, but he made the right decision imo. I think what Tony realized is that yes they may gun for him in the end, but Spencer has been one of his biggest challenge threats and it would be too easy for him to win that final immunity. Also, all he has to do to make sure Woo and Kass don't come for him, is to win final immunity. And if you can't bet on yourself and your abilities, then what's the point? Spencer went down fighting and he made a good case for himself (though that "I'll ask the jury not to vote for me line" was a bit much and even Tasha was like "say what now..") but the fact is his back was against the wall and he needed to win immunity and he didn't when it was in his grasp. Spencer will be invited back. Without question. Also, Morgan, totally has a crush on Spencer which is kind of adorable. Her reactions through many of the tribal councils when he pulled through were always interesting and she looked near tears when he got voted out. Sarah looked bummed and so did Jeremiah but girl had tears in her eyes. Edited May 22, 2014 by truthaboutluv 1 Link to comment
Haleth May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Well, crap. My interest is pretty much nil now but I'll still watch to see Kass lose. Link to comment
susannot May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I just realized that the Brain tribe won each of the last 7 IIs. 1 Link to comment
truthaboutluv May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) I just realized that the Brain tribe won each of the last 7 IIs. Not bad for three people who were in one of the worst performing tribes in Survivor history. Edited May 22, 2014 by truthaboutluv 2 Link to comment
Ellistrae May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) Well, I'm out until next season. I really don't care who wins now. I really wish they'd stop casting stupid, mean people. Srsly. ETA I find myself not watching the end of the season more and more often. Methinks maybe 'tis time to not watch at all anymore. Their casting gets worse and worse each season, and I find that there are less and less actual likeable people AND fans of the game. Edited May 22, 2014 by Ellistrae Link to comment
Wandering Snark May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I've got this strange voice in my head after Spencer leaves that says "Okay, let Kass win now". I don't want The Dude to win because he's done nada, and I don't want Tony to win because, well, he's Tony... 1 Link to comment
LizBug May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Maybe Tony will be better at this puzzle because it's gears 1 Link to comment
truthaboutluv May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) I honestly have no problems with Tony winning...yeah he's annoying but dude played the game and played it hard. eta: As hard as Tony played though my goodness he sucked at immunity challenges. Maybe Tony will be better at this puzzle because it's gears And the answer to that is no...he still sucks. Edited May 22, 2014 by truthaboutluv 1 Link to comment
silverwings May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I just have to say, if Woo takes Tony, he is officially the worst survivor player ever. Link to comment
ElleryAnne May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I won't be too upset no matter who wins. I actually like Tony, because he's been playing the game hard. I like Woo just as a nice guy. And while I think Kass has been obnoxious with the chaos stuff, I'll give her a couple of points for playing the game, too. 2 Link to comment
bluebonnet May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Damn, I did another "noooooooo" when Woo won. The dude is super nice and fun to watch, but it would have been amazing to see Kass and Tony go at it at final tribal. 1 Link to comment
susannot May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I bet Woo will chicken out on his previous statement that he would be a really stupid survivor player to take Tony to the end. Link to comment
truthaboutluv May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 I just have to say, if Woo takes Tony, he is officially the worst survivor player ever. Wouldn't it be something if this is finally the time Woo makes the smart choice and then basically exactly what Spencer laid out for Tony, would have happened. Honestly though, either option is a risk for Woo. Yeah people can't stand Kass but she can make a decent case for herself and well Tony has a string of things he can argue he did. But I think the best option is probably voting out Tony. 1 Link to comment
susannot May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 It would be incredible if Tony follows Spencer to the jury. Link to comment
truthaboutluv May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) And basically exactly as Spencer told him it would have happened. eta: lol, I love how Tony pretty much was like "yeah I wouldn't buy my argument either..." Edited May 22, 2014 by truthaboutluv 2 Link to comment
LizBug May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Tony should have remembered that he sucks at challenges. Then he wouldn't be in this position. 1 Link to comment
ElleryAnne May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Poor Spencer. He looked like he wanted to cry when he came in, sitting on that side of the jury. 1 Link to comment
whammo May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 My current fantasy - Woo drops the Keanu Reeves voice at Final Tribal and turns out to be a brilliant scientist. And, will get a great giggle if it turns out that the spirit of Spencer rises from Ponderosa and smites Tony. Link to comment
susannot May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) I can see that the loyalty argument is playing with Woo. And---Tony was playing a long game sticking with Woo over Spencer. I think he took Spencer's arguments to heart, but turned them around to win Woo with the loyalty argument. I think Tony will get Spencer's vote (and maybe all the votes) for saying that. Edited May 22, 2014 by susannot Link to comment
Wandering Snark May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) I'm just glad the TPI didn't actually come into play to destroy the season... And holy shit, he took Tony... ETA I love the "pfft.. the hell?" looks from Spencer and Tasha. Edited May 22, 2014 by Wandering Snark 1 Link to comment
silverwings May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 Woo, officially the dumbest person to play Survivor ever. 1 Link to comment
truthaboutluv May 22, 2014 Share May 22, 2014 (edited) Right up until the end huh Woo... Well who knows, the jury might be more pissed off at Tony than we think (yeah no...Woo is not getting Tasha, Spencer, LJ or Trish's vote. Kass may vote for him just to spite Tony, who knows where Jefra's head is at, depends on how Sarah feels about Tony and Jeremiah too is a question mark but I think he'll go with Tony). Oh and I can't wait for the Ponderosa video of Kass' arrival. Poor Spencer. He looked like he wanted to cry when he came in, sitting on that side of the jury. Spencer is definitely going to be invited back to play. Thing is he'll either be a Cochran and play a brilliant game and win or Malcolm where he just miscalculates his entire game and becomes a shell of the player he was in his previous season.
