Photo of "recent" Dr. Who (David Tennant, left) next to "old" Dr. Who (Peter Capaldi).  Tennant's roles are usually more brooding, so we rarely see him smile.  He does not look this young. The current/new Dr. Who is a woman!

Although Whoopi may have seen JFK's campaign inauguration speeches on TV at 5, seeing them repeated several times over the past 57 years is probably what set them in her memory.
