Johnny is far from the worst accentwise. There's a rhythm to it once you get used to it that you can understand.  That's apart from slang use, but he's far from the worst with that either.

Now Kevin Bridges and his extreme Scots accent? That's tough...

 

 

John Bishop can be a real task too.  It's Liverpool, which Americans should be a little culturally trained to understand by now... but an extremely muttered version.

I know lots of people complain about John Bishop but I have no problems understanding him (or Kevin Bridges for that matter). No idea what it is about Johnny Vegas that gives me so much problems.

The accents is one of my favourite things about the show.  None of them have stumped me yet.  But I do watch Coronation Street.

I have no trouble with Kevin Bridges accent, but then again, my mother is from Glasgow (even though after living in America more than 50 years her accent has mellowed so much I barely hear it), and a lot of her family still live there, so I guess I have an ear for it.  His story of playing a show in America actually reminds me of a story my father used to tell of about shortly after he and my mother got engaged.  He was in the Navy and stationed in Scotland when he met her, and when he called home to tell his parents, he asked his mom if she wanted to speak to his new fiancee.  My Kentucky grandmother's response?  "Well, son, I don't know...I'll try, but does she speak English?"  LOL
