Katherine MacGregor is really the only reason I've watched LHotP in re-runs over the years. I do appreciate other things about the show, but still I find the show pretty boring when she's not present. And she even manages to make me feel sympathetic for the character later in the series and somehow end up rooting for the Olesons' as a couple despite the fact that she would be unbearable for anyone sane to live with.

Awww - she was loved. I have been watching the last 9 seasons because they are often so comforting and so many due to her.

Watching the first few episodes of season 1, Harriet Oleson looked so much better in the later seasons. She looked older in the first season. 

She was so much fun to watch.
