Spartan Girl August 6, 2017 Share August 6, 2017 I can't believe they're remaking this. Oh, wait, yes I can. Link to comment
supposebly August 6, 2017 Share August 6, 2017 What year is this? 1985? They really wanted to redo a classic man-goes-apeshit-because-wife-was-killed-movie? Movies? How tone-deaf can Hollywood be? Do they want to make fridging fashionable again? 2 Link to comment

supposebly August 6, 2017 Share August 6, 2017 (edited) Should that tell me something? I've never heard of the man. Looking at his output on IMDB, there isn't anything I've ever seen. What makes me wonder is why Bruce Willis and Vincent D'Onofrio can't get better work. Or at least less offensive work. Edited August 6, 2017 by supposebly Link to comment
AimingforYoko August 6, 2017 Share August 6, 2017 Eli Roth is a fairly big name in the sub-genre of horror known as "Torture Porn" with such lovely entries like Hostel, Hostel 2 and Cabin Fever. Not really a fan of his directing, but I did enjoy him as the "Bear Jew" in Inglorious Basterds. 1 Link to comment
Ohwell August 6, 2017 Share August 6, 2017 Then he must have a death wish for this movie. Link to comment

Just somewhat differently offensive but equally distasteful, IMO. 1 Link to comment

Looks like they updated the movie to be about revenge over his daughter? At least that's what the blurb on IMDB leads me to believe. I'm surprisingly not upset by this remake. I was massively annoyed with The Mechanic remake (my favorite) and IF any idiot tries to remake The Dirty Dozen there will be Hell to pay. However, I was never really impressed/attached to Death Wish. I won't watch this in a theater but, I'll probably check it out on cable. Link to comment
