I'm sure it depends on the type of cancer but yes, definitely in some cases you can take certain things for donation. My grandfather had lung cancer and I know for a fact his corneas went to somebody after he passed, I'm not sure about anything else though. This was in the 90s too so perhaps even more advancements have been made in what they can save. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/60286-s05e01-abby/page/2/#findComment-3544165

This worries me because you do something like this in you final season, not when you are planning on the show continuing. This season was planned without a firm commitment for Season 6... so this might be the final season. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/60286-s05e01-abby/page/2/#findComment-3545401
scrb August 13, 2017 Share August 13, 2017 Heard a fair amount of advertising for this season, as well as the free Showtime previews they ran at the same time as the season premier was aired. But they went right against Game of Thrones Spoils of War, probably a very anticipated episode. And they will be going up against GoT for the first 5 episodes or half the season. So I don't know what Showtime's expectations are. May be a good sign they advertised it a lot -- they are not advertising the new season of Episodes the same way. Their new series don't seem to be doing so well so far. Roadies didn't get renewed after one season and I get the sense, though I haven't watched any of it, that I'm Dying Up Here isn't doing that well either. Twin Peaks is getting some buzz, though maybe not the ratings. Even if that was doing well, no guarantees of additional episodes any time soon. So depending on what else they have in the pipeline for new series in development, they may want to keep Ray Donovan, though who knows if Schreiber and Voight are interested in doing more seasons. GaelinW August 14, 2017 Share August 14, 2017 On one hand, I'm glad Abby and the kids are gone. But a mopey, grieving Ray isn't really much better. And flashbacks of an idealized relationship is kind of annoying. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/60286-s05e01-abby/page/2/#findComment-3547590

There are only two episodes left, so only the first four episodes of Ray Donovan will be up against GoT. There are supposed to be twelve episodes of Ray Donovan this season. Gobi August 14, 2017 Share August 14, 2017 I suspected Abby was killed by Russian mobsters, only because of the "previously on" scenes. Hope they don't drag this out too long (haven't watched episode 2 yet). Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/60286-s05e01-abby/page/2/#findComment-3549687
chenoa333 August 31, 2017 Share August 31, 2017 I thought I was following this show quite well until Abby disappeared/died/? WTF? Was it cancer? Revenge against Ray? Complications from the car accident? Are the writers of the show getting lazy/uncreative? IMO....if it wasn't for Jon Voight/Mickey Donovan I'd have dropped this show a long time ago. He is f'n awesome! Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/60286-s05e01-abby/page/2/#findComment-3597196
