Stinger97 April 30, 2014 Share April 30, 2014 A proud geek bursting with energy… and utterly ignored in this family. Nothing makes him happier than a family fight. He’ll giddily grab his video camera, hit record, and start directing rather than try to help. Arguing is the only way to really interact with your older siblings that will have nothing to do with you. Sometimes even a wedgie is welcome (and even enjoyed). Adam embodies all that is geeky about the ‘80s and dreams of directing movies. He loves the gems of the era like Tron, Star Wars, Transformers and Steven Spielberg. However, Adam has started middle school and it’s been a rough transition. Most of his friends are throwing out their Indiana Jones toys and trying to grab the closest pair of boobs, but Adam is still re-creating Raiders of the Lost Ark in his basement. Link to comment
Kromm June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 Actually (although it might make for an awkward title), it might be more accurate to say "Adam Goldberg: The Character, Not the Show Writer/Producer, or the Actor of the Same Name", because there are two Adam Goldbergs big in the business now, the guy who writes and produces this, and the OTHER guy who's mostly an actor (most recently seen in Fargo, the TV series, as Mr. Numbers, but most notably was in Saving Private Ryan). The character, on the show, of course, is yet a third Adam Goldberg, because he's a slightly fictionalized version of the second guy (the Writer/Producer). Who's credited as "Adam F, Goldberg" (vs. the Actor/Comedian who's simply "Adam Goldberg"), but it's worth noting that the CHARACTER on the show doesn't use the "F", because... face it.. what kid would? stillhere1900 February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 I watch this show with the remote in hand so I can *mute* whenever Adam staring talking. That high pitched screech he calls his voice is tooooooooooooooo much 4 Link to comment

BubblingKettle February 25, 2016 Share February 25, 2016 It seems like his midwestern accent is getting more severe with every episode. I'm originally from the Philly area, and I don't expect anyone to take on that weird twang, but the actor playing Adam needs someone to help him with some accent reduction. I can somewhat deal with all of the characters' use of Mary/mary/mary instead of the regional Mary/merry/marry type of linguistics, but jeez that boy's accent is distracting! Link to comment
mansonlamps February 25, 2016 Share February 25, 2016 I honestly don't notice any accent at all on Adam, I just hate his nasally voice. 1 Link to comment
califred February 25, 2016 Share February 25, 2016 I hear his Chicago accent but I'm from the Midwest and say eaxh Mary/Merry/marry differently 3 Link to comment

califred February 26, 2016 Share February 26, 2016 It's very subtle but especially between Merry and the other two I do say them differently. Link to comment
