It seems to be more the movie then the original series. With the racial focus I guess they will spend more time on patrol or on missions and not sitting in the office waiting to run to the SWAT van. Followed by the firefight of the week.

I know this show is essentially "Derek Morgan on a new but not unexpected career path", but that's why I'm looking forward to it. Morgan was my favourite on Criminal Minds, so I'm looking forward to essentially seeing him press on here.

After three middling military special operations premieres maybe the LAPD can save the season as an alternative to comic books action shows.
