2. Seeing how upset Emily is, a hospitalized Richard gently says "Yes Emily. You may go first." (Forgiveness and Stuff)
11. Richard and Emily look on proudly as Rory calls them her twin pillars at her graduation (Those Are Strings, Pinnochio)
26. Richard tells Emily to sit still at the graduation. He tells Lorelai he will take the pictures. "Lorelai, I will note the time. I will take the photo. You just sit there and enjoy your daughter’s graduation from Yale. This is as much your moment as Rory’s. Enjoy it." (Unto the Breach)

As lulu noted, 18 had a good run...but all good things must come to an end, right?! We're now down to just three, which means that this is harder than ever AND that it's time to start chatting about what you guys want to play next :)

While you vote, let me know if you have any preferences as to what we do next! We've probably done it all by now, but some were done more recently than others. Since we have a couple of new posters, we can always go back to our roots and do an actual episode elimination---those are always fun and interesting!

Lorelai's First Day at Chilton

Kill Me Now

The Deer Hunters

Cinnamon's Wake

Rory's Birthday Parties

Kiss and Tell

Love and War and Snow

Rory's Dance

Forgiveness and Stuff

Paris is Burning

Double Date

Concertus Interruptus

That Damn Donna Reed

Christopher Returns

Star-Crossed Lovers and Other Strangers

The Breakup, Part 2

The Third Lorelai

Emily in Wonderland

P.S. I Lo...

Love, Daisies and Troubadours

I'm tempted to try all seven seasons at once just for the glorious messy challenge of it all, and also because that might be a more accurate reflection of where each episode ranks. What do you guys think?! If so, I'll add the other seasons. If not, just start voting for the three S1 episodes you want eliminated :)

Hmmm, I don't think all seasons at once would be a good idea.  Mostly because I (and possibly others too) would just go thru and start eliminating S6 and S7 eps before even really looking at the others, know what I mean?

But what about dividing it up into the Chilton years vs. the Yale years?  Because there was quite a natural division in the focus of the storyline after Rory went to college.  It might be fun to compare the quality of Chilton-based eps against each other and Yale-based eps against each other.  And there are latter eps that I would consider better eps than some of S5, honestly.

PS I Lo.... (too much Dean, too much Max, too much squick)

Keg! Max! (though the band stuff is so hilariously awful and awesome)

Swan Song (Rory pisses me off so much in this one)

Road Trip to Harvard (I just *can't* with them in this one)

Hi everyone.  I'm a first-time poster for Gilmore Girls but I've been in love with this show for a decade.  Can anyone join in this game?  If so, my votes go to:

That'll Do Pig (I can't stand the Dean stuff)

I Solemnly Swear (I prefer when Rory and Paris get along)

Keg!Max! (what can I say, I'm a Rory/Jess fan)

Kiss and Tell (Dean again)

Welcome, Katherine! We love new players here...especially those who share my aversion to Keg!Max! ;) (Kidding, kidding---people can and do vote for whatever the heck they want!)

(what can I say, I'm a Rory/Jess fan)

Same here---I hope to see you over on the Rory/Jess thread.

Keg!Max!, P.S. I Lo..., Sadie Sadie and Here Comes the Son have the (dis)honor of being our first eliminated episodes, and the next round is open! We'll vote against four episodes once more :)

I have such a weird relationship with Here Comes the Son---the California scenes are among the most cringe-inducing of the series for me, but I actually really like the Connecticut scenes a lot. And Paris' reaction to Lorelai's hug is priceless!

The CA scenes in HCTS didn't do much for me the first few times either, but the more I watched it, I came to kind of love them a lot.

Swan Song

RTTH

Kiss and Tell  (some cute scenes, but knowing how the Dean storyline ends up sours it for me)

Paris is Burning (can't believe I missed voting for this one earlier!  I hate this episode with the passion of a thousand burning suns)

Cinnamon's Wake (I totally get why people love this one, but I don't for various reasons I've ranted about elsewhere!)

Kiss and Tell

Christopher Returns (and this is coming from one of the few posters who generally enjoys Christopher!)

Love, Daisies and Troubadours (too much Dean, too much Max, too sappy and cutesy, too much overly exaggerated, childish jealousy between Ma and Luke, too much focus on an engagement that pretty much all viewers knew would be broken off in the near future!)

...Have I mentioned that I far prefer S2 and S3 to S1 overall?! :)

The voters have bid a not-all-that-fond farewell to Kiss and Tell, Paris is Burning, Christopher Returns and I Solemnly Swear. The next round is open, and we're down to voting against just THREE!

Take these Deviled Eggs

I'm so glad I'm not alone in not loving this episode! I know many find it hilarious, but aside from the town loner storyline (which I really like), this episode is incredibly mean-spirited and just uncomfortably weird for me.
