Watching The Gone on Acorn. Set in New Zealand, the mystery revolves around  an Irish couple who vanish. The first recognizable face from Brokenwood is the actor who plays Wiki - she was the head of a female motorcycle gang on Brokenwood. Starting Episode 4 (out of 6) and so far, very good.

Just binged a 6 episode French series from 2024 (available on MHz Choice through Prime Video), All This I Will Give to You (oringinal French title: Tout cela je te le donnerai). After his husband dies in an "accidental" rollover crash, a Parisian writer must deal with his grief as well as the husband's highly dysfunctional family after he inherits the family wine estate. He teams up with an old-school retiring police detective to uncover the secrets, lies and coverups from the past and present. Interesting characters, fine acting, gorgeous scenery and a storyline filled with twists and turns - well worth checking out!

Finished the season of Saint Pierre.  I enjoyed it.  Interesting locale.  There will be a season 2.

Also finished A Remarkable Place to Die, a New Zealand show on Acorn.  Hope there will be a season 2.

I am watching A Remarkable Way to Die on Acorn. It is set in Queenstown, NZ with the most gorgeous scenery. The plot involves a female police detective who returns to her hometown and immediately starts investigating homicides - some of which may be tied to her past. I've recognized a few NZ actors from Brokenwood and The Gone. 

So far, so good.

Also from Below the Vines (can't think of her as anything other than Daisy) and The Sounds.

I really enjoyed the series, and even just checked out some tour books for New Zealand! Such beautiful scenery.

I enjoyed it also, hope it gets a second series. I was very satisfied with the conclusion, I was wary because some of the reviews on IMDB didn't like it but I was satisfied.

At one point they had some bad coffee in the squad room and I told my daughter (who watches Brokenwood with me) that Kristin must have been there.

Acorn shared some April premiere dates: 

S3 of The Chelsea Detective airs April 7 (I think the Christmas ep is counted as the first ep of S3 technically?)

S11 of The Brokenwood Mysteries airs April 21

I finished A Remarkable Place to Die and really enjoyed it. The ending was a giant cliffhanger so hopefully there will be a Season 2. The music reminded me a lot of Brokenwood but this show was not as whimsical. 

The scenery is drop dead.
