I am glad that Fet got some and is calling them Strigoi again. Abraham needs a dose of worms.  I am still wondering what happened on the boat trip to find the expert to translate the book. 

I wish they would give Quinlan more to do than creep around. He should be out hunting with Gus and Angel. 

Eichhorst is such ass. Ha. I love watching him torture Palmer. I am glad that Palmer is suffering. I am glad that Abraham didn't fall for his fake promise. Let him get the white from the Master.

Who are these losers that Dutch hooked up with? Look how quickly they deserted her. She should have gone to find Fet.

I know that Zach is a child, but it chafes me that he does not give a rat's ass about poor Nora who gave her life to protect him. Also, he saw her launch her stinger at Nora so why was he so surprised to see her feeding on that boy.  Has he developed a short term memory?

Oh, so now you finally realize what your mother really is, Zach?  Idiot. I  would that thought you getting Nora killed would be enough, but I guess not.  Again, idiot.  And I guess The Master giving him the white means he's going to turn?  Could this mean Eph will have to kill his entire family?!

Turns out Dutch was using all this time hanging out with a bunch of lame hackers, scavenging apartments for food.  But she's thankfully already done with them, after they showed her just how lame they are.  Hope you find some cooler people to hang out with soon!

It was so obvious that Fet was going to get it on with that woman, once she sat next to him at the bar.  Attractive woman near Fet?  It's fucking time!  I noticed the actress (America Olivo) was the only other person other then Jack Kesy to be worthy of being listed in the guest credits, so I'm guessing she'll be back.

Though both Kevin Durand and David Bradley were great when Fet and Abe hear about what happened to Nora.  They might even be more gutted over her death then Eph is.

Eph gets busted by Quinlan, only for Quinlan to agree help him steal the Lumen so they can trick and kill The Master.  The plan will probably fail. Disappointed in you, Quinlan!

Palmer is learning that betraying people and trying to play both sides, is no picnic.  Eichorst continues to be such a bastard, but I love him for it.

• Quilan is a badazzzz.  He should be raising an army to fight the master. 
• Eph is an idiot. After all he has seen, including Quilan and his superhuman powers, he doesn't believe that the Lumen may hold the secrets to defeating the master. 
• Who would be better at helping translating the Lumen then Quinlen who had lived over thousands of years and know hundreds of languages.  His wisdom and intelligence must be off the charts. 
• Why not just copy the lumen or make multiple copies. 
• Why doesn't the vampire council just raise an army to defeat the master. Or raise and army and make an alliance with the humans to jointly attack the master. 
• They need to cave in or blow up all tunnels and subways, anything that is underground.  Give all the soldiers biohazard suits w UV lights on their weapons. Give a bounty of $50-100 for every striogi head. 
• Eph his more concerned with his son, then the survival of the entire human race?

These two. Yes, Eph is a scientist, but after all he has seen and Abraham being right about it all, how can he doubt that the Lumen might give them some answers? Abraham was right sunlight injured the Master which means that maybe it can be harnessed in a way to kill him. Eph probably just doesn't want the Lumen to have the answers since he wants to use it to save Zach. 

Also, we know that Abraham was going to find one of the two experts in that language to translate the book in last season's finale. Where is that person? Why did they come back to New York? Why don't they send copies of the book to these two experts? I cannot stand when shows forget about their finale so they can reset the show. 

I agree about the Ancients. There are three of them surely they can team up with humans (Justine, et al.) to take down the Master and his strigoi. I wouldn't want them to make more strigoi, but they must have immense power and knowledge about how to defeat the strigoi until they are able to confront the Master.

Abraham and Fet remain the only two characters on this show who I have ever found worthy of caring about.  I love all their scenes together.  

Eph is a PoS and that son of his is a chip off the old shitty block.

I was behind the Quinlin character until he threw his lot in with Eph the perpetual a**hole.

And because it cannot be said often enough -- Die Zach, die!

It was sweet how Fet cared for and helped Abraham when he started to shake and helped him with his pill. Fet was more understanding that I expected when he found out that Abraham was using the white to extend his life.

I am happy that Eph (although he's a complete loser) and Quinlan stole the book.  I appreciate Abraham and think he's a great character but a season of him muttering through that book would have done me in.  Maybe Quinlan (love that character) will rub off on Eph and his story line will improve!

You guys? I continue to be baffled at how clean the city looks. Show, you can't just shove a couple overloaded shopping carts on a side walk and start a trashcan fire and make me think the city is in shambles. Seriously, the building exteriors were so damn clean. I work retail and the parking lot I traverse through five days a week looks more akin to what the show keeps telling me the city looks like.

I'm still pissed the show left Dutch out of the S2 finale. One of our main goodguys is kidnapped by a main bad guy, imprisioned, psychologically tortured, chased through a fucked up hotel, and nearly raped via vombie stinger, but no biggie. We don't need to know. Oh, turns out she somehow managed to hook up woth some hacker she used to know even though they don't really have any way to communicate? Sure. Why not. Whatever. Ugh. Anyway, I'm glad she's back. I'm bummed she was slumming it with those morons, but at least the was a badass while killing the vombies and chopping that dudes head off. Setrakian would have approved. 

This is silly, and I've brought it up every season, but whhhhyyyyy are they fucking with Kevin Durand's hotness?!?!?! I have had a crush on that man since Mystery, Alaska and the Shoe Polish level dye they slather atop his head and upon his chin makes me want to tear my hair our. It's awful. Speaking of Fet, as soon as that lady sat down I knew they were going to sex it up. Which would be fine if the show didn't turn it into some awful triangle with Fet , Kate (?) and Dutch. Which I'm sure they will and I'm preemptively hating it already.

I remember during the last 3rd if S1 I just wanted the show to be Setrakian, Fet and Dutch (who weren't all googly-eyed about each other) just being awesome and killing vombies. I believe I also wanted Gus involved, but it was purely because he is pretty and I just wanted to look at him. Anyway, those were fun times. Show, you can still make that happen.

Zach is still the worst. He might also be the stupidest, which is saying a lot. He saw his mother attack the lab/secret hideout place where she tried to kill Eph and Nora and then he straight up actually saw his mom more or less kill Nora (while Nora was trying to protect him) and he willingly went with her!!!!!!!! Now he is shocked (SHOCKED!) that his mother is feeding on some kid. Idiot. I hope he dies. I know that's awful, but I actively pull for his demise every time he's on screen.

I can't muster up excitement for Quinlan. On paper he is awesome, but he's just meandering around right now. Quinlan? If you remember you are a badass I will let you join the show with Setrakian, Fet, Dutch and Hot Gus killing vombies and being awesome that exists in my head.

Has this show always referred to the Master's blood (or whaever that is) as "the white" because I do not remember that at all. Between "the white" and Fet saying "muncher" all the damn time it's like the writers are trying to help out whoever will write the eventual porn parody or something.

LOL.  Our first scene with Zach is him complaining about being stuck in one room!  The same complaint when he was with his father!  He really is the worst.  It's a vamp apocalypse, but Zach is BORED.  The show must want us to hate him.

Not a lot happening.  Setrakian is still reading, Eichorst is still taunting, Eph is still self-pitying.  Fet is being Fet and Dutch realizes that she is better off with the original group.  Eph you asshole, you've been hanging around drinking and just now tell Fet and Abraham that Nora died?  He's such a jerk.

I also liked Fet taking care of Abraham; how close they've become.

Quinlan and Gus are so abstract.

Perfect description for Quinlan.  Hopefully things will ramp up now that he and Eph have nabbed the book. 

I did like the opening at the medical facility.  I've always liked the show's attempt at blending science with the vamp plague and would like more of that - as well as more badass action.  It just seems we get buried in a bunch of repetitive, dull stuff with not enough of these interesting, fun bits.

The Ancients are literally just hanging around and complaining.  It is frustrating because I feel like the show has pieces of good ideas but doesn't bring them together or focus on them.

Zach's self involved or stupid to the point that all the close calls he's had and death he's seen plus all adults around him freaking out and the destruction of the city have pretty much no effect on him.  He still pines after his mommy, who's clearly about 5 seconds away from eating him and misses his dad.  Zach and Gus can go down in a blaze of glory any time now.  They both have overstayed their welcome and as far as Zach's concerned I feel like  Darwin would have stepped in long ago.

911 always reminds how adaptable and strong Americans are.  Flight 93 anyone?  We catch on fast, just sayn'.  It doesn't ring true that the federal govt/military would be so stymied by the vamps and just desert NYC to move resources to DC.  And as others have pointed out vampires have a lot more vulnerabilities (UV light, silver, inability to cross water, etc.) that should make them easier to eradicate than say a  zombie virus.

The other thing that bugs is Eph.  Eph is not smart.  The fact that he would get on a train that goes thru a tunnel is exhibit A.  Avoid public transportation aka a vampire happy meal, and take a car next time Eph.  Then he makes a deal with the master to trade the Lumen for his son, Quin tells him what we ALL, literally everyone except maybe Zach knows which is the master is guaranteed  to screw him over but Eph goes ahead with the "plan" anyway.  Eph needs to be cut from the team.
