Gam2 August 23, 2016 Share August 23, 2016 I've read all of Rick's books and numerous newspaper articles. He does give a poignant view of southern life-the sadness, humor, true to life honest portrait of life in the rural south. His love of his home comes through all of his writing even when it's unflinching in it's grimness. My former hair stylist was his cousin and she could tell some stories about their family! As, I'm sure, every other southern family could tell. And his name is Rick Bragg not Flagg. That's Fannie Flagg who wrote "Fried Green Tomatoes" and many other funny books. 2 Link to comment
