Now you've got me stumped. An episode with an exorcism NOT by Sam with no devil's trap or witches and before Bobby dies?

Is the "monster" killed or sent to another realm in this episode?

* Also: Further clarification... From Google:

Quote

ex·or·cism
ˈeksôrˌsizəm/
noun: exorcism; plural noun: exorcisms
the expulsion or attempted expulsion of an evil spirit from a person or place.

This is the meaning of exorcism I'm using for my "YES."

*** In other words, technically, depending on how you look at it, this episode has more than one "monster" of the week... which is why I mentioned that the answer for question #3 could be confusing on multiple levels depending on how it was interpreted. Also... well you'll see when you guys figure out the episode.

Side note - sorry for the delay. It's been hard for me to get motivated on this awful day... actually this here, and this board is a very helpful diversion. When tragedies like this happen, I tend to get angry if I don't have something to distract me. My want to find a way to fix it nature bristles at this kind of thing. I keep asking questions I know won't likely be answered. My heart goes out to all in Orlando.

Further clarification - the real "monster" is a demon or an angel. I promise all of the answers will make sense once you get the episode.

Further clarification #2 - I included the definition of "exorcism" to show that it is in general. For example with my definition, Sam using his demon blood mind powers in season 4 would still be considered an exorcism even though he didn't speak an actual exorcism ritual. (But of course remember that in this episode, Sam didn't do the exorcising, so that was just an example.)

Ding ding ding! You are correct, sarthaz.

I tried to get all of the questions correct, so I hope I achieved that goal.

I wanted to say that both "monsters" were a demon, but since Jesse was only half-demon, I couldn't put in that without giving it away too quickly. And since Jesse caused the demon to leave, I called that an "exorcism." (I wasn't sure what else to call it.)

Wow.  YAYS!!!  I thought of that episode earlier but couldn't remember if any humans died and wasn't sure if it was an exorcism or not.  I think your answers were good considering our questions.  Definitely tricky since the "monster" starts out perhaps as Jessie, but the "real monster" is the demon.

Let's do a character ...

I had to double check the timeline myself on the deaths. There were two, and it was the first - the babysitter - which brought them in on the case, but after they arrived, an old man got electrocuted by a joy buzzer... which lead to Dean's experiment with the ham. I had to check that they arrived before the old man was electrocuted, and sure enough they did - so that was the death after they were on the case. As for the exorcism, that was Jesse. He told the demon to get out of her, and it was forced to smoke out. However, thinking about that, it is questionable whether or not the demon was sent back to hell or not... However in my defense, a "No" to the monster being killed or sent to another realm might've been even more confusing (since it might've made it seem like the exorcism didn't work to get the demon out.)

Okay onward we go! ...
