IndianPaintbrush March 11, 2016 Share March 11, 2016 Inspired by Zach, the Bates decide to go through police training of their own with some help from the local Sheriff’s department. Later, Lawson has a singing gig at a local hospital. And Chad helps Erin design the CD cover for her latest Christmas album. I want to go careening around in a high-speed police chase too. This episode was worth it just for Kelly's absolute terror while riding with Zach. Maybe it was just me, but the kids at the hospital seemed to dig Lawson's music until he got to the Jesus song. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/40137-s03e09-back-seat-bates/
flyingdi March 11, 2016 Share March 11, 2016 Is it just me or does Lawson look like Brandon a little? 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/40137-s03e09-back-seat-bates/#findComment-2044127
BitterApple March 11, 2016 Share March 11, 2016 I know Tennessee is Bible Belt and all, but I think Lawson should have stuck to traditional kiddie tunes. Singing for the kids was a nice gesture though. That little boy AJ is a hot ticket. I hope he's doing okay in real time. I thought it was cute how Erin and Chad admitted they used her first CD cover as an excuse to hang out. Chad is one of those people who just naturally has a knack for everything. Carson is really adorable. The car chase scenes were fun, but I don't think they needed to drag it out for half the episode. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/40137-s03e09-back-seat-bates/#findComment-2044215
SugarHigh March 11, 2016 Share March 11, 2016 I'm not usually a fan of episodes that are very clearly made for show (the police training stuff) so it was kind of a "meh" episode for me, but I did think the Chad/Erin album cover story was cute. The whole "let me figure out a way to spend more time with this guy I like" was so normal sounding! 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/40137-s03e09-back-seat-bates/#findComment-2044606

absolutelyido March 13, 2016 Share March 13, 2016 (edited) I want to go careening around in a high-speed police chase too. This episode was worth it just for Kelly's absolute terror while riding with Zach. The funniest part to me was watching Whitney (who was sitting next to her) laughing hysterically at Kelly's reactions. Kelly had a death grip on Whitney's arm. I thought it was also cute that Callie didn't want Kelly to go because she was afraid something would happen to her and Zach assured Callie he would give her a good ride. Gil on the obstacle course was pretty funny too. After running across the log he fell forward and ended up doing a complete somersault. I laughed so hard I had to re-wind and watch it a couple of times. Spencer Hastings March 19, 2016 Share March 19, 2016 My favorite part of this episode was when Kelly said something along the lines of "Too bad I can't whip him anymore!" and she immediately made an "Oh crap." gasp and Gil laughed knowingly. I love it when things slip out of their mouths! 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/40137-s03e09-back-seat-bates/#findComment-2065429
