Re: working, I think Kandi genuinely loves what she does, and more power to her because that is rare. I could see her taking some time when the baby is born, but some people just like working. I feel like that's another thing women aren't supposed to talk about. I had a coworker who came back to work a couple of weeks early; I know I could not be a permanent SAHM. No shade to them; it's just not for me. Kandi has built a career - several careers, really - that she seems happy with, so it's not surprising to me that she wants to keep that going.

lol! So many people romanticize pregnancy. I haven't had kids, but would love it if it happened. I think I would be more grateful for a healthy pregnancy as an older mother than I would be as a 25-year-old. I love babies and think giving life is a beautiful thing. BUT, so many things about pregnancy and childbirth are not the least bit pretty. Morning sickness doesn't sound fun. Having vaginal tears sounds terrifying. I've heard pooping during deliver can happen too, very unsexy. I totally get wanting a baby but not loving being pregnant.

There are a lot of women who aren't eager to get back to work who aren't exactly mom of the year. There are also women who are passionate about their careers and are some of the most loving moms. I didn't catch anything about Kandi that led me to believe she didn't want this baby.
