Sure sure, The Six, but really, it was Kim cackling with delight at the drama at Sharon and Keanu's wedding and then trying to recover that did it for me.

I liked the twist, but what they did afterwards was just ridiculous.  Six women were there to testify how abusive Nish was and that Keanu was trying to kill Linda.  Good grief.

Admittedly you're right, it was a bad choice of word, should have said unbelievable or just left it at awful writing as not much is realistic anyway.

Total agreement about unbelievable.  Keanu was strangling Sharon in a pub for heaven's sake, why couldn't Linda grab a bottle, like Denise did?  Why was a knife on a table in the hallway anyway?

However I did enjoy the fake-outs on the Xmas episode.  Is it Dean?  No, he left.  Is it Nish?  Oh wait a minute, here's Keanu!  Oh look!  Nish is breathing.

I think that was from George cooking for the wedding before he went to Ian's. 

Shouldn't there be bruise marks on Sharon's neck? and wouldn't the police have noticed them? 

I'm pleasantly surprised they didn't call Callum in on the investigation

from what I've read, Brian Conley (Rocky) is leaving because of a contract dispute.

As far as Danny Walters (Keanu) or Navin Chowdhry (Nish- one can hope) I hadn't read anything about either of them leaving the show, but then it was meant to be a big Christmas Day Episode reveal. 

IMO, both are bad actors, and I wouldn't mind seeing either or both leave the show. It is a shame to lose Rocky after redeeming himself. He had become quite likeable, and he and Kathy had good chemistry

I'm a daily watcher, even though I don't really enjoy the show.  The acting can be really atrocious, the writing is nuts, but every once in a blue moon, the writing and the acting are out of this world.  I've been really enjoying the performances this week of Colin Salmon as George Knight (I always want to refer to him as George Knightley!, damn you Jane Austen!)  George's unusual upbringing has the been the launching pad of some excellent scenes with the actors who play his daughter Gina, and his parents.  I actually can not wait to get home to watch tonight's episode.

Wow, tonight's episode was phenomenal.   Yolande has pretty much been a supporting character, but the actress was just brilliant.  Hope she gets nominated for an award, she deserves it.  And kudos to the scriptwriter for addressing all the aspects the victim deals with through the flashback scenes.   Just an amazing episode.

It seemed to be a Dress As Something Or Other  kind of party for the hen/stag do. I couldn't figure out what the theme was, but a few women came as Posh Spice, Reese and Sonja were dressed as fish & chips, Billy and Honey were Fred & Wilma Flintstone, the guy from the market was a shrimp/prawn. The wigs were part of their costumes

What are the odds they find a donor heart for Nish  just in the nick of time? Are any of the other characters slated to leave? Will he receive the heart of someone on the square or a random?

At this point, I think we can say he is immortal. 

I wish when Linda is having one of bad moments, someone would say to her that killing someone in the Square is just normal.   I think most everyone there has either killed someone (Martin, Ravi and Stacy), tried to kill someone (Sharon, Cindy) or hired someone to kill someone.  I mean, even Dot helped a few on their way to the afterlife.

My short list of suspects for who bashed Cindy:

Peter -we don't know where he was, he's acting suspiciously, and he had and burned Lauren's bloody scarf

Kojo -He promised George he'd make it up to him for keeping the secret about Cindy's involvement in his fall-we don't know his whereabouts either. Also convenient that George's lie about the boxing match gives Kojo an inadvertent alibi. I'm leaning toward Kojo, but would hate to see them do that to him -another coverup? 

Freddie -I don't know why, but he's acting weird. He may have bashed Cindy because of his love for Anna and how Cindy hurt her (a stretch, I know, but something's up with Freddie). He doesn't seem angry enough to have done it tho.

Harvey -another stretch, but why did he offer Kathy an alibi?

Freddie might think it was Anna or Gina, hence the acting weird.

Again, Peter might suspect a family member of doing the deed.  His dad, his girlfriend...

If the writers do this, I will stop watching.  Kojo is probably the only likable character on the canvas right now.  He's a breath of fresh air.  Cindy has been a thoroughly repulsive character since her return. She's a liar, she's a cheat, she's a blackmailer.  But she reached a new low when she threatened Kojo.  I can only hope that once the identity of the assailant is revealed, C3 will leave the palace, come to the square and pin the Victoria's Cross on the chest of that person for service to humanity.

I would laugh if it turns out to be Bobby.    I bet it is Ian - he's been acting very smug since she got bashed.  

Minty and Garry are back!  I wonder if the rest of the cast (that didn't have a conversation with them in the script) didn't know beforehand.  Lacey looked very shocked (heh, of course it could have been ACTING!).

it would be awesome and appropriate for it to have been Bobby, especially with all the teasers about returning characters for the 40th anniversary. That being said, I hope it's someone in the current cast -I hate those kinds of surprises- at least leave us a crumb of a clue

I'm leaning toward it being Peter that bashed Cindy; Ian is almost too obvious, so i doubt it's him. I am also enjoying his smugness

Questions still remain on how/why they thought to hide the shovel in the barrel store.

I haven't ruled out Junior or Anna (was she watching the kids?) Who else doesn't really have an alibi, and why did Harvey offer to be Kathy's alibi? (and where has he been lately?)

 

Agreed there did seem to be some excited or surprised reactions to Minty and Garry. I wonder if it was a surprise for some of the cast -that would be a fun thing to do

Stupid Eastenders spoiled that Kathy was the attacker on Facebook during the episode.   I know to avoid twitter until I can watch but never thought to avoid Facebook.   

Though, I don't buy it.  I think they are covering for Peter.  

Oh Reiss.  If you let your girlfriend go to jail when you were the murderer and kidnap her sister....maybe a card isn't the smartest thing to do.

So funny! Did she use her evil stare?  I'm always amazed at the actors that appeared on that show. One episode had Edina's mom from Absolutely Fabulous alongside one of the church members from Vicar of Dibley

I was a bit disappointed with the big anniversary episode. I'm glad Reese is dead, Sonja going into labor was predictable and I thought we would find out who won the vote for who Denise should be with. Kathy sticking to being the one who bashed Cindy is interesting. I hope Martin is only injured and not paralyzed or mortally wounded. I wonder how they're going to write Stacey out for the actress's maternity leave. And most importantly: where is everyone going to hang out and when will The Vic reopen?

There's a lot of speculation on several EastEnders FB groups that Martin is going to die because the anvils have been falling for the past couple of weeks.  I hope they are wrong because I really like Martin.    I also thought Kathy's confession was just a way to get City to back down from accusing Ian.   Wish Kathy had left her in the pub.    Also, I'm sure Ravi's going to be Denise's choice because the ladies usually vote for the hot guy, even if he is a criminal.

The scene with Angie was great! I never expected she'd be one of the returning faces. Ghost Pat would be awesome!

I really hope Martin doesn't die. He's such a key character to The Square. Did we find out who that hand belonged to? I may need to watch this episode again - so much going on.

I kept reading that the actor was leaving the show, but was holding out hope that they wouldn't kill Martin off.   Until yesterday, I didn't know he was the 1st baby born on EastEnders, so it's really a travesty that the character was killed.

Why couldn't he have just gone to Spain for a while again or go visit Michelle or off to rehab somewhere for his crushed legs, and come back a completely new person? He had just helped save the market and now owns the fruit & veg stall -I wonder what's going to happen with that now.

Did Sonja have a seizure after giving birth? I've read the actress is leaving the show, that may play into her exit storyline. I was half expecting her to name the baby Dorothy or Debbie.
