Tompkins--his appearances on @midnight are epic--but this was not his finest hour. At least he didn't urinate with the host on camera. Catherine O'Hara's character, an actor, is teaching a class and he's one of the students. No lines, just part of a brief shot of students listening to Catherine. Agreed, it could have and should have been so much more. The Bugsy Seigel story was interesting, as was all stories surrounding him. And I was familiar with the Moulin Rouge from the A&E documentary about Las Vegas from late 1997, just months before my first surprise trip there.
