Athena October 22, 2015 Share October 22, 2015 Joining Graham on the sofa are James Bond star Daniel Craig, who talks about the new Bond film Spectre; Naomie Harris, who plays Eve Moneypenny; Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz, who plays Bond's latest arch-enemy Franz Oberhauser; and pop superstar Sam Smith, who chats and performs Writing's on the Wall in a live world exclusive. attica August 5, 2016 Share August 5, 2016 Does Sam Smith remind anybody else of Boy George? Just me? He sings like Bolton, he looks like George. Not a very lively couch, I don't think. It could have used a more diverse collection of folk. I suspect it was booked with the stipulation of no non-Bondies, but it needed some non-Bond energy. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/33333-s18e05-daniel-craig-naomie-harris-christoph-waltz-sam-smith/#findComment-2460897
dubbel zout August 6, 2016 Share August 6, 2016 It was a rather low-energy couch. I liked everyone, but Graham really had to work to keep things going. I love it when Graham is completely exasperated by the Red Couch people, like that first doofus. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/33333-s18e05-daniel-craig-naomie-harris-christoph-waltz-sam-smith/#findComment-2462301
Ailianna August 7, 2016 Share August 7, 2016 I loved how Graham stopped the second Red Chair guy and told him, after hearing that he had to take his 70 year old mom to the gynecologist to translate for her, that he was very excited for this story and there was a very high threshold. He just so genuinely enjoys those people I think. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/33333-s18e05-daniel-craig-naomie-harris-christoph-waltz-sam-smith/#findComment-2464590

I had that exact same thought! I enjoyed the show. Daniel Craig really seemed to be having a great time. I love Christoph Waltz, and I love his dry sense of humor, but at times it was so dry it practically blew away. He's funny, but too reticent. Sam Smith seems like a nice guy, though I'm not a fan of his Bond song. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/33333-s18e05-daniel-craig-naomie-harris-christoph-waltz-sam-smith/#findComment-2465380
Mumbles August 14, 2016 Share August 14, 2016 I really like Christoph Waltz and was surprised that his press team was such a group of control-freak divas. Quote He sings like Bolton, he looks like George. Perfect. Michael Bolton is a bit of a pop culture joke now and it makes me wonder, did anyone actually back then like him non-ironically? Then I realize there are people who like Sam Smith non-ironically now. I think he has such limited range - instead of a range from 1 to 10, he has a range from 9 to 10. Everything is so overwrought. Plus it doesn't help that I'm watching this now, knowing how he was kind of a jerk during the Oscars. (Plus the song is definitely a lesser Bond theme. Right around A-Ha and Rita Coolidge.) All in all, a muted show. Low energy. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/33333-s18e05-daniel-craig-naomie-harris-christoph-waltz-sam-smith/#findComment-2484715
