Athena October 10, 2015 Share October 10, 2015 Hollywood heartthrob Colin Farrell and Oscar-winner Rachel Weisz secure a space on the sofa to promote new dystopian drama The Lobster, in which they both star. Plus, comedienne and writer Dawn French talks about her new novel According to Yes, and Irish actor Chris O'Dowd discusses his new Lance Armstrong film The Program. Arguably, the headlining guest is Rod Stewart, who performs from his new album Another Country. Link to comment
dubbel zout July 29, 2016 Share July 29, 2016 This aired recently on BBCA. These were four people I wanted to hear more from, and it was one of those stupid 45-minute episodes. I was glad to hear Rod Stewart isn't butchering the Great American Songbook any longer. 1 Link to comment
FormerMod-a1 July 30, 2016 Share July 30, 2016 I liked the red chair story. When he got to the punchline you understood why he was so vague about where he's from. 5 Link to comment
attica August 1, 2016 Share August 1, 2016 I have felt that, since the 80s, we've had all the Rod Stewart we're ever gonna need. We do not need more. And yet, he persists: evidence the Universe does not care about me. Farrell's rebuttal to the suggestion that maybe his kid was talking about his being blond in Alexander "But he's still talking to me!" made me laugh and aww, all at once. I love it when actors can acknowledge stinkers they have wrought. I wish C O'D (who may be the most affable creature ever) had filled in some of the backstory of Red Chair guy's tale. I bet that would have been worth a hear. 1 Link to comment
peeayebee August 2, 2016 Share August 2, 2016 That was a good show. Colin Farrell was surprisingly fun, funny, and charming. I loved his sense of humor. I hate these 45-min eps. 2 Link to comment
Mumbles August 6, 2016 Share August 6, 2016 Farrell had a period where he was a "bad boy" - excessive drinking, hitting on a young Britney Spears, sex tape leak, etc. - that used to skeeve me out about him, even though I found him to be a good actor. But it does seem like he has calmed down and is now a funny, delightful guy. All in all a nice couch. Love Chris in everything he's done - Moone Boy (funny and sweet without being treacly), the IT Crowd, Bridesmaids etc. 1 Link to comment
dubbel zout August 7, 2016 Share August 7, 2016 Farrell's son has Angelman syndrome, and I think that really gave him a focus. Link to comment
peeayebee August 7, 2016 Share August 7, 2016 Seriously? I don't see that at all. Can one have a mild form of this? Link to comment
